The documents were immediately turned over to the National Archives, but the incident referred for possible investigation.

Story of Biden documents makes Trump looks worse.  Not better.  Key difference is the Biden team have done exactly what they are supposed to do.  Upon discovering documents, they immediately notified National archives and returned them.  National archives never asked for documents.  Documents are often misplaced and this case looks like a routine investigation with no allegation of criminal wrongdoing.  In contrast, National archives repeatedly asked Trump for documents before seeking help from justice department.  He failed to cooperate with National archives and justice department.  The reason why Trump is in legal trouble is his obstruction of justice.

Those are the key facts.     There's no comparison as much as the GOP is having a wet dream over it.

My guess is Garland is going to move even slower now on the Trump documents case.

Fact he took classified documents as the VP. Who cares if he turned them in. The crime is taking classified documents you idiots. You didn’t explode at Trump because he obstructed, you cried because he took classified documents.

The other thing we know for a fact is the CLASSIFIED documents ferried over to a private residence in Mar-O-Lago were never declassified, because to do that it must go through a certain "process"  which never took place.
