slim seems much more of a catcher than a pitcher...
raiders plays good defense... perhaps a utility infielder...
we can give bowslit a uniform and tell him to stand behind the backstop to catch the backwards homeruns... mr fantasy land will think he is actually on the field and an integral part of the team
espalande will be a cheerleader, or at least a person that yells hateful and insecure nonsense at the other team... history shows that is his role...
zelo can do commentary... give a microphone that is not plugged him and tell him that the nation is listening... he will be talking away regardless thinking what he is saying is important...
the rest of the actual posters can bat clean up or anywhere where for that matter as they seem to hit it out of the park regularly off the partisan lemmings...
Im sure I forgot a few guys.... but regardless if the cut/paste alias circle jerk caucus is gonna join im thinking based on history we are gonna need alot of alternate jerseys with alternate names and numbers...
It gonna be quite a crazy line up card with all their "substitutions"... especially when losing and wanting to make the appearance of a larger number of players than there actually are...
Go team!

Dl36 - I am not sure if Canos agrees. But as one of the 3 resident non-partisan independents I am not sure if I am too keen on accepting slim's attempt to enter the club just yet. I just do not think we have enough data yet.
What do you think Canos?

Nah. Do not think at that time it had much, if anything, to do with it. Guy just always brings up stuff off topic it seems to me. My point was simply why pick them? Other candidates may have had different views. But my point is that folks don't or didn't care as much about that issue at that time...so those guys didn't matter. If the folks cared or had the fortitude of it being a top priority it may have been different candidates---or even those may have taken a different stance.

Evolution happens eventually. In the past, both Republican and Democrat Presidents have made similar reforms to immigration laws and healthcare system. Probably, future presidents will make more hard decisions because of necessity. Presidents are most criticized while in power but future historians tend to be kinder.

I wonder if you have to believe in evolution for it to happen?

Thanks. I looked at Enzi's plan and it looks pretty good. I wish plans like his would have been made more public so more people were aware. I never really heard the Republicans campaigning on healthcare reform and offering up alternatives. At least not on the national level.
Now let me tell you where I am coming from. I am a small business owner and couldn't get into a large pool. Before Obamacare I was paying $1500 a month for my wife and myself. ( no pre-existing conditions I might add). Now with Obamacare I am paying about 300 a month, kept my doctor and better coverage. I realize I am in the minority but I am quite happy after being ripped off for years. I expected to pay about 6 or 700 a month and would have been happy with that. I know this won't last but I will take it while I can. When the economy tanked I went without insurance for about 2 1/2 years and accumulated some medical bills. Now I can afford to pay them off.
You have to admit both parties were dragging their feet on this issue and nothing was getting done. I will be fine with them tweaking healthcare as long as my premiums can stay in that 6 to 8 hundred range.

You just decided to parrot a talking point you heard thrown around the media without thinking (or looking) for yourself.
Scroll to the bottom of the linked article, there is a list of GOP proposals. This is the last time I am doing your homework.
