Midnight1, I hardly feel that a so called gift going to a cosmetics and beauty company compare to a Bill proposed by Nancy Pelosi  ,that seeks to eliminate billions of debt held by the U.S. Postal Service, require same-day voter registration, billions of dollars to pay off $10,000 in student debt per person, mandate that airlines reduce their overall carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2050, and force federal agencies to explain to Congress how they are increasing their usage of "minority banks....and provisions that amount to a resurrection of the notorious "Obamaphone" program....really compare in any way,, do you ?

Now US has the highest number of coronavirus cases of any country in the world.  US has 250 cases per million people, far higher than China, which has 57 cases per million.  This shatters delusional Trump claims that everything is under control, his team is doing great and the pandemic would miraculously disappear in warmer weather.  According to ABC/Washingtonpost poll, 58% of Americans say Trump failed to act quickly enough to prevent spread of coronavirus.  He downplays the need for more ventilators despite urgent requests from governors and mayors.   But American medical association estimates 960,000 patients would need ventilators when there are about 180,000 ventilators in the US.  According to Council of medical specialty societies, 800,000 doctors signed a letter urging Trump to keep social distancing in place after he proposes reopening economy by Easter.  Lifting restrictions prematurely would jeopardize the health of all Americans and extend devastation of pandemic.

One problem is that Trump treats coronavirus as a foreign invader instead of a domestic health crisis.  Most infections are caused by local community transmissions and not from foreign visitors.   Travel bans are ineffective in stopping the spread of infection according to World health organization and John Hopkins center for health security.    Recently, Trump administration drops its illogical plan to dispatch troops to US-Canada border after Canadian officials oppose it as being unnecessary and damaging to relationship.  New York has more coronavirus cases than all of Canada.  Amid a crisis that demands trustworthy leadership, Trump instead spreads chaos, confusion and misinformation.

To think that we have the most virus cases in the first place is laughable. We are jsut the only country who is accurately reporting it and we are testing far far more than any other country. You actually think China only has 80,000 cases in 3 months while we have 100,000 in 1 month? We also do not really know how dangerous this virus really is. There could be millions upon millions who already have it, with 80% of people being asymptomatic. That would make the death rate lower than 0.1%. Also, a lot of people here needs to learn how federalism works. Trump does not have control or need to have control of everything in the states. 

The White House $2 trillion Covid 19 stimulus bill signing ceremony is for Pres. Trump and GOP only, absolutely no presence of Democrats. Now Mr. Donald J Trump and GOP take the most credit of this gigantic $2 trillion socialism aid. 

Thanks to Mr. Trump and GOP signing this gigantic historical socialism aid today. It definitively helps most Americans and business, really appreciate it.  

Yes, regardless of who has the most Covid-19 affected case in the world. US's over ~100,000 looks pretty bad, we have no vaccine or treatment against this deadly novel virus. This is not 'just a flu'. Treat this pandemic very seriously, just like so many other countries around the world, take science over politics.

What does 35 million for maintenance & operations of the Kennedy Center thru September 2021 have anything to do with the Wuhan virus?

Or 287 million for the IRS?

Both of these are just two of the bizarre demands of Pelosi's Pirates...how exactly do these 2 examples tie in with the current Chinese warfare the global community is now faced with?

Those two things are not even the worst of the worst PB. The point that they even put random things into a bill that is as needed as ever right now shows the absolute evil over pelosi and her dems in congress. I have still been disgusted since the first time I read key things in the bill a few days ago.

The appropriation of $35 million for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., as well as an additional $600 million for the arts and humanities..was on Nancy Pelosi’s emergency coronavirus relief bill...The Bill has nothing to do with with Melania Trump...and is not on the board of directors of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts..

However.,Nancy Pelosi announced in 2019 the appointment of Congresswoman Joyce Beatty of Ohio and the reappointment of Congressman Joe Kennedy III of Massachusetts to serve on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Board of Trustees.

Sounds a lot like "I would like you to do us a favor."

I get Trump trying to blame President O for everything. I get that.

But if you take over as an executive, you might be able to blame problems on the old boss for a little while. But when you've been on the job for 3 years, the problem is yours.

Trump said he doesn't think Pence should call governors who don't treat him well: "He calls all the governors. I tell him —I mean, I'm a different type of person— I say, 'Mike, don't call the governor of Washington. You're wasting your time ... Don't call the woman in Michigan.'"

I’ll keep saying this but “the president holding aid hostage to his venal demands” is what he was impeached for.

So it’s come to this: Some states are being held hostage, endangering the lives of thousands, over their failure to send the president a “thank you" note.

That is not how it works. Again learn what federalism is. The President does not have to respond to all their demands. He should be if they are being unreasonable with him then it is the responsibility of the state. You seem to have the story wrapped up in your head day in and day out, the story that anything is doable with a snap of the finger and if it is not done that quickly you must immediately blame someone. 

Trump is wrong here.  Show some goddamn decorum and rip them on the twitter after you grant their requests for aid.  For once he needs to realize that this situation is not about him or his ego.  He has real opportunity to show strong leadership and squash this or this will absolutely be his doom in November.
