He didnt try anything to make politics better, he tried to go golfing, he tried to pick fights, he tried to tweet every day, he tried to give corps a tax holiday. he tried and did mess up the tax code. He tried to buddy up to Putin and the dictator in North Korea, he tried to make moves for his kids and his business interests. What did he TRY to do that would have made a non-partisan impact for society? Stacking conservative supreme court judges is not making a change, that is partisan rigging, that does not change anything. In all seriousness can you spell out what he did or tried to do that brought about change? I am not interested in blaming Democrats for stopping his efforts, what I want to know is what did HE try to do to change the establishment? If you or any of the other boys try to reply, give answers not blame or partisan finger pointing, spell out what his agenda was that is NOT partisan and that would actually bring change? I can name many things that would change politics...getting rid of lobbyists and corporate influence, term limits (not speaking about the issue, DOING it) getting rid of the electoral college, making the SCOTUS a term based appointment. These are non-partisan issues that COULD change Washington, Id really like to hear what he DID or attempted to do not using "drain the swamp" lingo that means nothing, to me Trump is the swamp so drain yourself if you really mean that...

That's why I can tell you aren't independent observer here. You say we make partisan threads, but 99% of the threads and titles are left leaning partisan threads/titles and you just shit on the conservative. From one calling Trump a POS, to another calling someone a "maga Kook". I don't see those threads boxed or a lot of the vitriol spewed by these hard left people, they can do it without repercussion. That's why you don't get respect and why people know you aren't independent as you spout you are. I'm out for a while, because I might say something you've been itching to ban me for. Good day to all.

I had that highlighted on my previous post, but then it was over 4k, so I had to edit it. That's why I know you aren't independent. We aren't kiddos here. At times both sides don't act our age, but you only punish one side. Ok now I'm out.

    @Jarrett75

Well thanks for the one reply, the other stuff is off topic. You made the claim that Trump was going to change the landscape of Washington, all I asked was that you spell out what he did or wanted to do in a NON partisan way, I have to say that because you go there as your response and you did in post 276. I do think Trump is a scuz, he is a lousy person and treats people poorly...I call him out for abusing women, abusing reporters, McCain, Warren etc etc for being a lousy person. Now I was very serious about details from your side since he was your boy...he was your candidate and representative.

So list all he did, non-partisan to change things for society for politics, he makes these claims so I would like to hear what he did.

I can dig it big doggpeace_5

I’m not saying that he isn’t a pompous smug arrogant self indulgent egomaniac that caused a lot of extra problems for selfish reasons . Nope . I’m not saying that .

I’m simply stating that his colorful and brash persona attached itself onto many people who otherwise wouldn’t give a flying fuck about a lot of things , especially the next President .

I’m sure that some people who are clever , and that can make astute observations , used this newfound hoopla amongst those forgotten souls of the voting world for their benefit , and Trump simply became their poster boy to help push their agenda which is lining the inside of their pockets with straight cash homie …..

he’s a vessel , a dirty deep sea vessel used to navigate the lower floor of the common denominators , selling them on a dream of a lifestyle that sadly they will never see come to fruition….perhaps……but who the fuck knows right ?

    @spockgato

Every politician is a pawn used by the machine and he is no different. I agree that he was used to snag the ugly voting base that no politician really wants to go after, the ones who really dislike people and laugh, applaud agree with demeaning women, abusing handicapped people, calling Warren names, debasing McCain, paying off hookers and screwing around on multiple spouses. There are people who like his way of life and actually can associate with him. There are also segments the extremist segments that he gives validation to that will vote for him. The fact he or any GOP candidate would pardon people that broke the law and threatened politicians is sickening, the fact Trump gave validation to extremists over and over, he gave several dictators the time of day, there are people who will vote based on his lack of character and lack of morals. The GOP wont admit to seeking that base but they do and will if it means they will gain an advantage.

Seeking out votes of citizens and groups that are dangerous to society, appeasing dictators and lousy people does not sound like a means to unify and lift up society, it is filling the swamp with GOP crud so the agenda can go forward, nothing changes that money still is transferred, power is given to certain groups...its just the groups that the GOP wants it to, so the swamp cannot leave just the characters and beneficiaries do. I call his rhetoric as a scheme and a ploy and is a fraud just like he is.

I don’t think Trump’s intentions were to lift up and to unify society , come on , we both know that , if anything he simply wanted to showboat and prove to his ego that he could take “ the most powerful seat in political office “ from lifelong politicians with the added benefit of pissing them off , helping himself , and boosting his rabid desire to proclaim his superiority over everyone , oh yeah , and also to rub people’s noses in it at the same time ….

can’t forget that . We all have a little of that in us peace_5

I would say that Trump has more than just a little megalomaniac in his skill set and he used it to get to where he wanted to be .

I’m sure that he did some goods things while in office though too right ? I mean he must have done something correct ? Yes ? No ?

There are a few people that I have high esteem and respect for in my life that swear by him , and not in the bad way like a drunken sailor when he’s banging a prostitute in her butt and asking her if she likes it or anything like that .

But then again I also know some people that I hold in high regard who are aghast and shocked that such a human serpent like The Donald could ever have become President and hope for nothing more than his demise .

So two sides to the coin there on that one peace_5

Shit is extra weird right now . There is an overflow of vast amounts of information that anyone can more or less gain access to in seconds . If a politician cheats on his wife and farts in the hooker’s face leaving poopy powder residue across her brow , orbital bone , and cheeks , trust me , that photo will be on social media before the stink of his anus waste wafts out of that hotel room where he did it peace_5

Many people are tired of the same and want something different . And like Arnold Schwarzenegger becoming the governor or Manny Pacquiao turning politician in the Phillippines , sadly , I think we are just a short time away from some goof like Brad Pitt or Jennifer Lopez becoming President , or worse yet , some D list “ celebrity “ from Real Housewives of New Jersey or even God forbid J.J. Evans from Good Times …… Dynomite !

I think Trump winning the presidency has helped lead us down this inevitable road …..

Wall, ... not true at all.  Why do you think the "deep state" worked so hard to remove Trump from office when he was president , and is "still"  working so hard "now" at preventing him from running again ?  Matt Flynn was under investigation from Day 1, and quickly dovetailed to Trump cahoots w/ Russia which was complete bogus.  Seriously, a Mueller investigation, 2 impeachments in a 4 year span ?  What a joke our government agencies have become in protecting "their" interests..  Does it dawn on you that they just don't want this guy in office,  for the risk that he presents to the "status quo."  Trump "is" different, and that's what attracted many to vote for him because he is a businessman first, not a politician.  Frankly, if given the opportunity, I think he would have been able clean house in get the DOJ/FBI in order, but the "civil servants" that occupy these agencies (i.e. the deep state) fought like hell and pushed back.

Seriously, if you stop and look at the big picture at his presidency, you see Trump was under attack from Day 1 . an_light

Trump gets no sympathy, Biden gets no sympathy as both are disgusting slimy immoral corrupt jerks..no sympathy is needed, we should be looking for better leaders not entertainment and partisan lamp posts.

...And this justifies impeachment trials and a Mueller Investigation that was bogus from the start ?

Being "a jerk" shouldn't be grounds to impeach a president, but it sure sounds like this is where you're coming from.  Schifty Schiff thought so, too.. The "liar" that said countless times he had proof of Russia collusion, only to hide behind his skirt when the Mueller investigation turned up "nada."

Trump knows business, he doesn't know everything about politics. He should have gone after Hillary and he let sleeping dogs lie. Those dogs have come back to bite him. He should have gone after them for spying on his campaign and he didn't and that has come back to bite him. I doubt anything would have been done as Washington is a cesspool, no one wanted him there especially Democrats, but Repubican's as well, RINO and alike. But yes Trump can definitely be his own worse enemy, 100%.    On a side note, before he ran for president, I didn't like Trump very much at all. He got butt hurt years back on a radio show I listened to called Opie and Anthony. He stopped coming on, but his some Don Jr came on. Also on the 30 for 30 about the CFL, Charley Steiner told a story about Trump and at the end gave a backhanded compliment and they told Trump what he said and Trump actually thought he was complimenting him. Trump said something to the effect of, 'if he meant it as a compliment then thank you'. He didn't mean it as one. I was like sheeesh he's full of himself. But when he ran for president, he was the change in Washington that Obama claimed he was going to be, which is why I voted for Obama the first time. He wasn't the change he claimed, maybe he got to Washington and they threw money at him and his ideals and morals went out the window. Trump actually tried to change how Washington does business and they all hated him for it. His people like Cruz, turkey neck McConnel and Lindsey Graham supported him begrudgingly.

These are 2 very important points when it comes to Trump.  I look at this way.. He approached the Presidency as if he were CEO of America.  And being a CEO of anything means you want to get rid of waste and run whatever it is you're doing with efficiency.  Well, everyone here knows that Washington is littered w/ "inefficiency" and bloated government agencies, redundant organizations, etc..      And how do we think the Washington establishment (i.e. deep state) was going to take this ?

Just look at what transpired during his time and office, and what the man is still going through "TODAY."   They are working to annihilate him.  peace_5

Rush you make some fair and interesting arguments peace_5

It does indeed seem that the “ powers that be “ have a giant and massive boner that is just boinging itself around and that is stiff like Derrick Henry’s well muscled and sculpted arms when he pushes away those pesky would be tacklers while playing American Football on the gridiron……

They are out to burn the Bentley Trump rode in on like it was a witch’s broom and they want to chop up his orange combover like it was some kind of evil hat of sorcery . Why not throw that house from the Wizard of Oz on top of the man while we’re at it huh ?

I’m guaranteeing you that he won’t have any dorky striped socks on up in that motherfucker that’s for sure , only the best silk that feels like a thousand Angel labias massaging your metatarsals ya heard ?

People are pushing and pushing and my best guess says that they are crossing over into something that may be illegal in order to stop this man from running again ……

as Biden is briefed on the progress of it all taking his head out of the bowl of soup for a second that he’s enjoying and says….

“ Mmmm … i love these chickpeas in here , and then he smells the lone chickpea on his spoon like he does so many women’s hair in those awkward moments that we all have seen …..

    apple ? Tree ? Far from ?

but Rush is right being a jerk is not against the law . peace_5

And people saying that you’re a jerk is just an opinion . It’s unfortunate for the dreamy love fuzziness of it all but not everyone is gonna like you in this life . And that’s ok . Sometimes it takes pissing off and angering people that are holding back progress from being made . It’s the nature of the beast .

otherwise things will remain the same , and status quo , and that’s precisely the reason that I hear when people tell me why they are for Trump . He’s an asshole . But He’s a maverick in that respect , and is pushing through the thousands of pounds of gelatin that the soft sugar on the inside of people has left as obstacles in our way when they do not see through their promises , yet they continue to talk , and promise things with more empty words ……

I’d rather hear silence . Or the avoidance of interaction . There’s a lot of jerks in the world and Trump is just a little “ Realer “ than most politicians because he chooses to speak a little more direct , so it hits closer to home , because it’s a little more how people talk behind closed doors and not so cleaned up for consumption….

He offered Pelosi the national guard and she knew what she was doing.

    @Rush51

I think we have a different view on how great Trump is as a businessman, I do not see him as some awesome CEO leader, I see him as a user of the system to destroy shareholder value and walk away, he got to play CEO several times and blew it several times and due to our BK code he was able to escape with little damage, how is that being an awesome CEO? I have followed his career for decades and I do not see the image he tries to portray, I see someone who used the system to try and build, he over leveraged SEVERAL times, used massive levels of debt and leverage and lost it all..he lost it all. He went BK multiple times, each event he lost more and more and more of his ownership to in the end he owned nothing but was a face marker in return he got a salary. He blew billions in investor money, lost so much on his real estate holdings and gambling ventures yet due to the code which insulates big business he was able to keep doing it over and over.

His business success or failure is not known because he hides, he schemes and shades and avoids...he is not transparent he is dishonest and has no regard for much of anything but his own selfish pursuits.

If we want a CEO to run the country the GOP picked one of the worst, there are MANY MANY superior business leaders who have done better even if they also sucked from the system in the process. Id say Buffett is an example, he is also a slimeball in his own way but he respects people, he builds businesses and shareholder value, not like Trump who destroyed every shareholder who took a chance on him.

The arena of politics is one where anything goes..did he deserve to go through impeachment? I think so..whatever the item he got pinned with there are hundreds more he did not. His deception and disregard for people, for respect of the position to me means I dont care if he got impeached for littering, the guy is a louse who deserves nothing. Show some respect for your office and try to inspire, stop going golfing and living in your resort, stop catering to horrible political leaders, stop insulting others and start caring for more than your own stupid greed and then I will consider him deserving of anything..of anything at all. He deserves nothing. Respect and consideration is earned, he never earned it.

Well, the guy was a billionaire before becoming president, so I respect him for what he accomplished... and to be honest, I respect anyone that takes risk and grows a business into something immensely successful, regardless of our BK laws.  It is what it is...    This is a fantastic country, where entrepreneurs have a better opportunity to strike it rich than any other country on earth.  Why ?  We embrace the spirit of capitalism.  Plain and simple.

But let's focus on his presidency.  Sure, the guy was savvy using Twitter, perhaps too much.  He was brilliant in using it to circumnavigate the press, but used it with too much negativity.   That I can agree with, and I know it turned a lot of people off.

But  what I don't appreciate from folks like you is the backstabbing of this man that tried to go after China to improve the common man of this country.  Why don't we talk about this more ?   China has been cheating the international community (predominantly the USA) since the early 2000s in their entry into the WTO.  China is a bunch of F*n cheaters.. excuse my language..  but they do not play by the same set of rules as the international community.

Trump tried very hard to fight for the common man of the USA, and I feel this is lost on so many folks..

It's worth remembering that Trump applied these Chinese tariffs in 2019, only to be followed by the Wuhan Virus ..  Coincidence ?

I am sorry , Wall.  Your hatred for this man runs deep (and I think emblematic of many others).

This is absolutely despicable to read... This does "NOT" meet the threshold of "High Crimes and Misdemeanor" that is warranted for an impeachment.

    @Rush51

To address your China comments, as if Trump needs a lolly for all he did to bring inflation to the US, because that is what slapping tariffs on China does, it is passed on to the consumer via higher prices and THAT is inflation. So Trump created inflation by going after China for tariffs.

The larger point though is that China did not actually get hit with real tariffs because as we discussed back then they are SMARTER than Trump and know how to get around them. Chinese companies play the hide the ball under the shell game with these so-called tariffs, meaning all they have to do is ship their exports to a location that does not have tariffs and route them through a trade partner or corp that exists in a country without tariffs and then they do not pay them. What Trump tried to do is play media games and run his mouth about China and how terrible they are and how he was this big tough US leader and would hit them with tariffs, but is he smart enough to know that they would never actually pay them? The only way you could hit China with a tariff is if you had every single imported good tariffed, that is the ONLY way it would hit them...every trading partner hit with the same figure, any imported good pays that tariff. Outside that it is a talking point for idiots to think Trump is awesome and not to consider that the consumer pays those anyway via higher costs of goods that the US corp who imports sells to the consumer.

To me the blame for the atrocities in China is US corps and thus the US consumer who buys their goods, our profit greed and desire for cheap goods is why China has an export relationship with the US...we want more profits, cheaper goods so our consumer can spend their cash on junk that breaks in a year or two then we have to buy again and when we allowed offshoring of production and avoidance of taxation via offshoring then corps just made out like thieves and China can take advantage of our selfish lazy population to buy their goods which their government subsidizes.

Your second message is sour grapes, you like Trump and want him to have respect and appreciation for the position...to me respect and appreciation is earned it is not given via a title. Trump has not earned a drop of respect or consideration in his actions and how he has zero concern or empathy or care for anyone but himself and his close circle. That tape CNN released is funny, the way Trump comes off like an idiot trying to act like the big man on campus but not having a clue to the contents of the stolen documents, he comes off as a clown, the clueless classless clown he is.

I’m here to celebrate and promote my independence …..and I’m not gonna do it low profile , or with no style , so close your eyes if you think it’s vile ….to dial up a diatribe that’s alive and that’s on fire …..and that’s on the wild side …..while it’s intermixed , with a little bit of viciousness , and the grittiness of vengeance……

so please stop pretendin’ …..that life doesn’t matter …..as you chitter chatter backwards …being bombastic with that hoodwink ….cuz I look and think about every crooked thing that hoofs it’s imprint in front of my blinks ….and how I can put it’s composition ….back into form , and closer to it’s original intentions ……as I get visceral on the miserable and the hypocritical with their belligerence and pretentiousness ……

so let this be a lesson shit ….. for the dishonest…..and the problematic …..and the vindictive who are present on this planet as it wobbles off it’s axis ……I might not be a prophet but you’re all comical with your panic , and your idolatry for all these political Ponzi schemes is obsolete to me and to my wants as I dominate your sacrilege…….

Two political parties are two few to represent a diverse nation.  Problem is system of single winner elections which put pressure on voters to consolidate around only two options.  In a close election, any vote for a third party becomes a spoiler.  What is needed is better fairer voting rules.  Not more candidates.

Most advanced democracies use proportional representation to better represent voters.  Parties win seats in proportion to their share of votes.  Probably congress house is most suitable for proportional representation.  In countries with multi-party system, citizens vote at higher rates and partisans don't hate each other so much.

thirdperson you did some real nice stuff right there . You got real down to the street and you took all the meat off the bone while leaving the glitter glamour advertisements locked in the back shed , and away from my pupils .

for that I thank you peace_5

could we possibly meet up in the middle like those metal cats from that cartoon Voltron ? And could you “ form the head “ of a most interesting and fascinating discussion ? That delves deep into both sides of an argument ?

I think you’re ready pal . You’re showing great chutzpah and a magnanimous amount of ball sack weight by coming correct , clear , and truly special with your last typed entry .

I now see you in a different light and what once was shadowy and somewhat grotesque has morphed into a beautiful detailed picture of clarity with just a touch of fuzziness and a lot of wobbliness to it like somebody spiked my meal with hallucinogenic mushrooms .

I will be enchanted as I await your response , and the fervor building inside of me is powerful enough to replicate the masterful construction of the pyramid in Egypt they call Giza . Ya heard me dirty ?

Color me impressed , as I don’t color you bad , but changing and wonderful . God bless you good sir . I know that you have it in you . And I’m not just talking about the remnants of that late night Taco Bell drive thru order from last night . I’m talking courage peace_5

Knock ! Now me and you go way back . All the way back to the beginning of this thread in fact . And sure , yup , I’ll admit it , we’ve had our differences that’s true , but if you read through things fully , right here in this thread , you’ll also see that we agree on a few things as well …..

but I’m sad to say , and to inform you , that all this hoopla cheerleading with it’s ham sandwich sorcery that you’re passing around and doing is not gonna fly around these parts anymore …..

wallstreet in his infinite wisdom has declared this type of discourse a “ no go “ …..

like pissing in the pool , or not cleaning up your dog’s shit when you take it for a walk and it drops a hot molten pretzel out of the body opening known as the butthole right there in front of the neighbor’s house down the street that has the pretty azaleas that are out front by those sketchy looking garden gnomes that people sometimes steal on a lark …..

It can’t happen anymore , because the rules and the regulations do not permit it . Thank you for your observance of this most simple yet powerful guideline that will enable us to fully entrench ourselves in what we hope will be “ enlightened discussion “….peace_5

now why is it that you feel Trump is the only man that can do the job ?

Knock ! Now me and you go way back . All the way back to the beginning of this thread in fact . And sure , yup , I’ll admit it , we’ve had our differences that’s true , but if you read through things fully , right here in this thread , you’ll also see that we agree on a few things as well …..

Please I beg of you gimme a better choice than “ sniveling cowards “ or “ know it alls “ ….

cuz like blitzkrieg warned when I was precounseled with it you’re nothing but mountains of shit tipped with the snow from your own cold souls let’s brawl …..

till infinity finds us stretching dimensions to their max and their limit …..

and the fabric of time rips and rives like your minds when required to express a single solitary unchaperoned non panicked not following your own narrative decision……

    this isn’t a parable it’s your prison ….

and I’m not a pharaoh I’m just more powerful than you cowards who bow down floundering to the scoundrels and who are too submissive….

to the “ rules “ that you are given , so listen …..

you’re not so much men as delicate regurgitators and minions , and stealers , who mimic and impersonate their leaders ….I’m on a heater …..

and on the surface your being nervous and fake doesn’t deter me it makes the little bit of burrowing it takes to burst through your gates  worth it cuz my gait is impervious to your features….

cuz I’m walking right through you and wrecking you on a molecular level , and my intentions and endeavors aren’t just predatory they’re essential I’ll test you , and let you …..

conclude for yourself if you’re just an apparition or a ghostly memory ….

or if you’re living within epiphanies and in symmetry but if you don’t know just follow the flow homie and I’ll expose you to that energy ……

    * this forum , like politics , and life , can be made better by people actually giving a fuck , and by opening up , and maybe by admitting that they don’t know everything , but fear and weakness is an inherent quality and can not be defeated so easily . Keep fighting the good fight . And to those that do nothing to promote open discourse : A Coward Dies A Thousand Deaths A Soldier Dies But Once ……

When Trump hit China with tariffs all we saw from media is the same stuff I see above. "Costing consumers billions!" "China just gets around them!" CAUSES NOTHING BUT HARM, WHAT AN IDIOT!!!!

Then Biden takes office. Those horrible tariffs are still there! an_eek2 WTF???? So media turns on their spin, NPR writes about a speaker manufacture crippled by Trump but never really mentions why Biden kept the tariffs. Many news outlets claim poor Joe is in tight spot because of that nasty Trump.

Truth is the tariffs saved thousands of union jobs and those unions have told Biden "don't turn on us."

So we quietly see the tariffs still in effect because they actually work and have always worked. All those media stories on how bad and terrible they were. an_roll_laugh

Yet they are still in effect. an_light
