Nearly 60% of Americans Want Trump Charged For Insurrection
HUFFPOST -
Nearly six in 10 Americans believe former President Donald Trump should be charged with a crime for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to a new poll released Sunday.
Almost 21% of republican voters asked also agree!
The findings by the ABC News/Ipsos survey reveal a very slight uptick in support for prosecution of Trump since the start of televised hearings by the House select committee investigating the insurrection that Trump incited. An ABC News/Washington Post poll conducted in April found that 52% of those surveyed thought the same.

The Republican Party of Texas over the weekend adopted a resolution at its state convention that rejects President Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 election, further aligning the state party establishment with former President Donald Trump in pushing false election claims.
"We reject the certified results of the 2020 Presidential election, and we hold that acting President Joseph Biden was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States," reads the resolution, passed by voice vote in Houston on Saturday.
They offered no PROOF to their allegations, of course...

It asserted that the "rights of those charged with crimes have been violated" and it rejects the "narrative" that events at the US Capitol represented an insurrection. The crowd applauded.

The GOP platform also included a section calling homosexuality "an abnormal lifestyle choice" and opposing "all efforts to validate transgender identity."

Texas GOP platform is crazy, backwards and controversial. It's one thing to question necessary changes to election procedures due to pandemic. But it's outrageous to continue to endorse Trump's rhetoric about stolen election proven false countless times.

Let Trump assemble a panel and get multiple hours to present their case/defense on live TV with multiple networks covering it Everyone would be found guilty if the Jury only heard from the prosecution during a trial
Blame Trump and GOP shooting themselves in the foot by opposing a bipartisan commission. This allowed House speaker Pelosi to select her own committee to investigate. Now Trump has no ally to defend him in public hearings.

Kinda like a impeachment trial, when the spineless republicans in the senate didn't call any witnesses or have any testimony, everybody would be found innocent then to,right?
And like 3rd said, the republicans had a chance to be on the committee, they chose to just run and hide and hope it went away. And trump could of went before the committee and told his side of the story, but we all know that cowardly POS wouldn't do that.

That mf'er told so many lies, there ain't no way he could keep track of them. The best response his pea brain can muster up when trying to defend himself is limited to "fake news and witchhunt",that's it.

As usual the Russia and Chinese misinformation bots, Fubar and Kelly, the media and low information Trump Derangement punks on here are leaving out vital pieces of info from that poll. The 60% were nearly down party lines, so what are Democrats going to say? LoL Also the majority saying the committee was fair also said they weren't following it. So that tells me as usual, they hear other low information people say it, so they go along with it. What a shock Huffpost had their own version of the poll. Here is the link from the actual pollster, not that you fuckers care about truth.

Your right, god dammit just have trump testify at the hearing ,just to clear things up,that will solve everything,(you think he'll do it?)
It's basically now all republicans going up there and saying he's a POS,but it just ain't his normal suck holes republicans going up there, that's why you have a problem with the number of republicans who are involved with the hearings. The republicans who are behind his BS claims, they all ran when the thought of testifying under oath was mentioned, you know the guys who say their behind him,but dont have the balls to be behind him when it has to do with the whole "going under oath" stuff,to tell their side of the story. You know the guys who were begging for pardons, after showing their so-called patriotic side that day.Even his kiss asses know they don't wanna even think about going under oath,to explain what they did that day."We're all behind you Donny,as soon as you testify under oath,we'll testify under oath, right behind you".They've seen him throw enough people under the bus when he's done with their usefullness,to know their not gonna be the ones going to jail, for trying to defend his actions that day.

You do understand that Republicans hate Trump just as much, if not more than Democrats. Washington was corrupt long before Trump got there and he upset both side apple carts. He made Republicans actually stick to their word. He called out the bullshit from the Democrats. The media has been complicit for years as well. Did Trump possibly do some of these things they say, of course. Because anyone with a brain and at least one good eye, know 80+ million didn't come out to vote for this old fuck we have as a president right now. And the idiots who did should have their voting rights taken away. The Left only enforce the law when it's convenient to them. The border is allowing thousands in a day and while 50+ terrorists have been caught, they think many more have been let in. They are letting people demonstrate outside of SCJ's homes even though that's against the law. Are you upset about that? I fucking doubt it. The whole point to these impeachments and hearings is because they are scared shitless Trump will run again and they know they have nothing to run on as they haven't with Biden. The good thing is, it will likely be DeSantis. So go ahead and get your DeSantis is racist and he's a debble and mean. He's going to mop the floor with any piece of shit the left brings out. I am going back to watch the game, but feel free to send your thoughts on anything above.
