    Yeah, funny, that.... Trump is in our heads every day because HE deliberately makes it unavoidable!!  The narcissistic  ratbasturd insists on news coverage EVERY FREAKN DAY one way or another!

    Personally my dream differs slightly from yours.....like many, many, MANY non-MAGAs  I truly hope he is on the ballot next year!  Once again (like 2020) I will be throwing heavy bets against him winning as I am eyeing a new electric car plus a 4 week Euro vacation!

    AFTER he loses the popular vote for the 3rd consecutive time, that is when I hope the righteous convictions come in, one after another.... an_2drinks

    It is usually only 100 or so historians etc. that are surveyed and not really hundreds.
    You can actually go to these websites and see who they are and see their previous writings and reasonings.
    There are many, many people that work in fields or jobs that are not really experts in them at all.
    There are obviously people of various walks and studies and careers on here that can have very educated and thoughts on why most of these surveys are silly and not well-reasoned out.
    There are many better surveys than this one.
    Look at who they are.
    Look at how so many of these change with the times and are not reflective but reactive at the time.
    Go back and see previous ‘adjustments’ and go look at economic ones versus historical ones etc.

    Way more to this if you actually study it you will have a very, very good view of these things as opposed to these nonsense surveys.

    Just because someone is claimed to be an ‘expert’ on something  —  you should not let them influence you, if you have a studied and unbiased and educated opinion on it. peace_5

    It is making  comparisons of those 3 presidents.You really couldn't figure that out on your own?

Sure.  But how does that fit here?  Biden is president and the economy is headed to a disaster? How does contrasting an ex-President’s legal issues fit when comparing the housing market or interest rates or folk’s credit card debt?
    The thread isn't about ex-presidents legal issues or comparing the housing market or interest rates or even folk's credit card debt.It's about positive news for this country.What could be any more positive of news in this country.Then the guy who tried to overturn our election process,looks like he's finally going to be held accountable.I'm ecstatic,just as every American should be.

I do dream about trump (but not nightly),I dream about the day he is convicted and the country gets to see the coward crying to the nation about how unfairly he has been treated. In this instance it is very apt to skip Trump. He is very far from being the worst.  Comparing Biden to Obama is appropriate because both were horrible for the country and in the running for worst Presidents. I guess you could include Trump if you want a comparison of how to turn the economy and country to the better.

    Alas, you are correct.  It seems you guys on the Left never stick to the topic of the threads here -- you ALWAYS bring Trump up.

    I was responding to the title of the thread and the previous posts about the latest economic data.  Then pointing out that the mortgage and interest rates and inflation are still very high.  THAT has to deal with the TOPIC of the thread and the previous posts.

    YOU then brought Trump into it.  I responded just to what you were mentioning.

    But not a big deal to me if you guys go off topic; there is not really a rule mandating you stick to the topic.

    My issue is you guys cannot multi-task and have a multi-faceted conversation; you simply bring Trump up.

    As everyone knows I can be long-winded and detailed and have no problem tackling a conversation with multiple subjects and details in them. peace_5

I am not trying to convince you to separate the issues, I simply am asking that you focus on the economic issues and the policies in the country.   I realize that for most on the Left the personal traits of Trump matter far more than the good he did for the country and the economy. In other words, EXACTLY what crimes against the country did Trump commit IN ORDER to make the country and the economy better?  Does it matter to you that Biden has personal issues AND the country AND the economy is WORSE? So which is worse — a bad person that makes a good economy OR a bad person that makes a bad economy? Again, I have not commented on the Trump legal issues until you insist.  All I am concerned with is the economy, etc.  So — IF you CAN find a person with fantastic personal traits AND can do the things for the economy that Trump did — then run that Unicorn for office.  Maybe then even some of the Left would support him.  Not concerned about discussing Bush unless you just insist to conflate as many issues as you can here.   I only used the quote because it is funny and I think Biden is very rapidly heading to being the worst President ever — in that instance the comparison was apt, because I can make a very good argument that Obama was the worst.  But if you want to compare Bush and Obama — you can do that if you like.  I just do not have Bush in the running for worst President, the other two I do — mainly on the economy for Biden.  That is why you can contrast him with Trump.
    No where did I say trump committed crimes against this country that made the economy and country better.I said "Now according to you committing crimes against this country doesn't have anything to do with this country?"Which of course it has a lot to do with this country.Trying to overturn our election results to stay in power is the crime he committed against this country while president.The refusing to return classified documents happened after his term,but is still a crime against this country.Biden might have issues as you call them,but he isn't facing 91 charges is he,is he even facing 1 charge?No,not even 1 charge,so ya there is a difference in the ISSUES they are facing.Let's hear your "very good argument that Obama was the worst".Did Obama invade the wrong country and ignore all the signs about 9-11?

    You say you are only concerned with the economy,but then rank the guy who tanked the economy (Bush) higher then the guy who saved the economy (Obama),ya you are really concerned only about the economy.

    So basically what you are saying is you want to be able to badmouth Obama and Biden,but you are "not concerned" and don't want anybody else ever mentioning Bush and trump,makes sense when you really can't defend them.

    Ya,it went a little more like this.trump isn't the 1 who turned the economy around.Bush crashed it,Obama turned that around and trump went along with that.I thought you republicans were all worried about the debt.Why are you not criticizing the president who in 4 years was accountable for 25% of this countries whole debt?

    Ya,it went a little more like this.trump isn't the 1 who turned the economy around.Bush crashed it,Obama turned that around and trump went along with that.I thought you republicans were all worried about the debt.Why are you not criticizing the president who in 4 years was accountable for 25% of this countries whole debt?

    @MrWhatsItToYa

     No where did I say trump committed crimes against this country that made the economy and country better.

    Right.  But that was my point.  I simply do not care about Trump like you guys do.  I am only concerned with the policies of Biden and the economy right now.  You keep bringing up Trump and his legal issues and want me to care about them, I just don't.  I am sorry that I cannot even give an informed opinion on them. peace_5

    @MrWhatsItToYa

    No sir.  That is not the case at all.  I certainly use many more data points for my rankings.  But what is making Biden the worst is his handling of the economy.  But overall he is doing just as bad in nearly all of the other categories as well.

    I can do both with all of them you listed.

    Try to follow what happened.  The thread is about Biden and good news.  The subtopic was the economic numbers that came out today.  The reply I made was to indicate that there are other numbers that are not so good and getting worse.  I followed that up with the quote showing that Biden is fast becoming a very bad President.  It is common knowledge that most on the Right rank Obama and Biden near the bottom -- some throw Carter in the mix.  So, quite obviously the guy was making an anti-Biden joke about Biden and the mortgage and interest rates and inflation.

    Then you come in here trying to compare Trump's legal issues, while, I guess, dismissing his good economy.  Maybe you think his personal traits are all that matter and not how well he did.

    That was when I mentioned Biden, who is still in office, has his own stuff going on.

    So, my question is the same:  DO YOU prefer a guy that has bad personal traits AND is GOOD for the economy OR a guy that has bad personal traits and is BAD for the economy?

    @MrWhatsItToYa

     The only 1 who keeps Bush out of the worst president is trump.

    Which Bush?  What are you ranking them by?  Are you talking about the economy or you mean overall?

     I think maybe @UNIMAN might be one of the guys you can discuss the Trump legal stuff with.  I think he might be up to date on all of that stuff.

    As in 2020, obvious no brainer to vote against one of the worst presidents in US history.  Logically, moderate voters should favor Biden over Trump.  At sportbooks, democrats are still favored over republicans in 2024 election.  University of BC study found that gamblers tend to be better at predicting election outcomes than public opinion polls.  Especially in the final weeks before election.  Risking money on bet, gamblers have extra incentive to be right while poll respondents might not really care.
