Russia admits it is impossible to stop confiscation of reserves frozen in West

The Russian authorities see no real possibility of preventing the confiscation of US$300 billion of Russian foreign exchange reserves frozen by Western countries after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

They say that although publicly officials are threatening tough retaliatory measures and planning legal action if hundreds of billions of frozen sovereign assets are seized and transferred to Ukraine, in reality, Moscow believes that the reserves are already de facto lost.

"Deep down, everyone has already said goodbye to the reserves," one source told Reuters.

Moscow believes that European countries will give in to US pressure, and the Russian authorities are unlikely to be able to prevent the confiscation.

Houthi terrorists fired three anti-ship ballistic missiles Wednesday at an American-owned and operated cargo ship in the Red Sea, defying a U.S.-led military effort to prevent attacks on commercial shipping.

Two of the missiles aimed at the Maersk Detroit were shot down by the USS Gravely, a guided missile destroyer, and the third fell into the sea, according to a statement from U.S. Central Command.

According to Pew research, US global standing declined during Trump presidency.  But positive reviews of US in other countries rebounded after election of Biden.  Under Trump, neither enemies fear nor allies can trust the US.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group for several Iran-backed militias in the country, said it attacked a number of places along the Jordan-Syria border on Sunday — including a camp near the US base in Jordan where soldiers were killed.

US officials have said the drone that killed the US service members at Tower 22 was launched by Iran-backed militants and appeared to come from Syria. The US government has not yet named a specific militia they hold responsible.

President Joe Biden said on Friday he had directed military strikes on facilities in Iraq and Syria affiliated with the terrorist groups that attacked U.S. forces,and said the response would continue.

"Our response began today. It will continue at times and places of our choosing," Biden said in a statement.

the Middle East or anywhere else in the world.
But let all those who might seek to do us harm know this:
If you harm an American, WE WILL RESPOND!"

 Israel is luring the US into their offensive war against their enemies...this is intentional and very dangerous for the US and Europe. Its a huge mistake, I hope the house and senate shut it down and do not fall for the trap Israel is setting.

 That is a good way to get thousands killed and spend billions of debt on weapons in an area where we cannot win. Good thinking. I just hope congress wont fall into the Israel trap. Funny how prior to the Israel offensive there was like no issues in the region, nothing going on at all with regards to the US or Europe.

Funny how prior to the "" Biden Presidency, "" ( i.e. during the Trump presidency), there were like no issues in the region,  nothing going on at all w regards to the U.S. or Europe.

 Apparently other coalition countries are involved as well in supporting US efforts to defend shipping interests in the region from terrorist attacks, which as every intelligent person knows, can and does affect oil shipments - and that means rising inflation as a result of the terrorists.

 Do you know why that is? When did Benny get in legal troubles? Right smack in the middle of Trump's term. When did Benny get back in the saddle and away from the legal issues which limited what he wanted to do? Right during the early part of Biden's term.

My point is that the issues in Israel are not due to a GOP or DNC US president, rather the multi thousands of years of fighting and killing in the region. But hey its so much more fun to blame a 3 year presidential term for the US versus the thousands of years and millions of deaths for both sides and the fact the region will never be at peace. Lets make it a US partisan issue...super cool!
