esplanade - well, you're definitely spot on all the right wing talking points & that's what guys like Limbaugh, Beck & Hannity would have 1 believe, but it looks like your personal & partisan dislike of Obama has got you a little outa touch with reality.
 
I have no problem with folks honestly disagreeing with him on the issues of healthcare & spending in general, but what has he done that you think would be much better with anyone else? For whatever reasons, the market has improved dramatically since he took office. By most credible accounts, he's handling the mideast issues as well or better than anyone else would be & the monthly job loss rate (while still atrocious) hasn't been nearly as bad as it was during Bush's last mos & Jan/Feb of '09.
 
Healthcare has always been a hotly debated & contentious issue so there's no surprise there & he's moving ahead with what he partly campaigned on. If you don't think the dishonest war in Iraq & it's costs/lives lost, Bush's spending, the financial & economic meltdown on Bush's watch haven't had anything to do with where we are now, you really are seriously outa touch. And none of those things had anything to do with Obama.

All I read here from the right wingers is how horrendous everything Obama has done is during his 7 MONTHS in office like GG said. So tell me, taking into consideration the huge mess he inherited that has affected things moving forward greatly, what is it exactly that has been so terrible & how/why you think the basic state of the nation would be any better at this time with anyone else? Don't need all the far right wing personal, partisan & opinionated BS or suppositions/opinions on what's gonna happen down the road which noone really knows for sure. Just the basic & overall state of the country at this time given where we were when he took office -

It's not a question of blaming Bush & his admin for everything, it's just a fact & reality how much their BS has destructively affected a ton of things with a huge carryover effect as well.

As far as I can tell, he hasn't deviated much from what he talked about in his campaign on the basic major things like the timeframe from getting out of Iraq, sending more troops to Afghanistan/Pakistan where they should have been in the 1st place, getting a stimulus bill passed & healthcare reform.

No it isn't a fact. It is your subjective opinion. You have neatly packaged the talking points of MSNBC et al, but I think your personal animis of Bush has you a little out of touch with reality.

obama clearly said that the falling stock market was not a reflection of his performance. Obviously neither is a rising market! Especially when the market is priced in $ that have lost a huge percentage of their value under his watch. The market is priced in fiat $.

The direction of the country and the threat to national security and freedom has scared a lot of people and hopefully awoken the silent majority.

if he didnt know thats even sadder, he was a US Senator, he damn well should have known

dont believe this "we inherited shit". if you didnt want the problems, dont run for office

Obama has maxed out every "Gubmint credit card" he can get his hands on, and even some that he cant...
 
You cant artificially redirect the path of economic/housing/bad business models with CASH, you only mess up the natural cycles of these markets...
 
I question the speed at which Obama is trying to push all this stuff through....at a pace to get this all accomplished before the mid term elections when the dems will no doubt be losing seats and the balance of power will be more equal.

koaj - not sure what you're responding to. What I said had nothing to do with Obama running for the job or not - you misunderstood or took it out of context.
 
esplanade - keep watching your favorite right wing talkin heads & soon you'll be convinced you need to take to the streets with a gun. Maybe try a little perspective & objectivity - I'm not saying Obama's the second coming & never have. Some of you guys act like anyone who doesn't bash Obama repeatedly must think he's God's gift to the USA when he's just another politician (with strengths & weaknesses like all of 'em) who became president. Probably alot better than some & worse than others but after the Bush/Cheney fiasco, there's no ideal candidate out there who could somehow lead us out of the wilderness in a few months or even a yr or 2 - never has been, never will be. I'm more than willing to judge Obama on his own merits, but there will be no way to fairly & accurately assess his performance until he's been in at least 2/3 yrs & more likely 5-10 yrs after that with some of the long range plans he has.
 
bake - noone is trying to tax ourselves into prosperity but when things are in total shambles & the foundation needs major repairs, it costs money & alot of it. The housing crash was not part of a "natural" cycle.
 
Don't believe all you hear or be surprised if the dems lose fewer seats than you think. The healthcare bill in some form will get thru with some bipartisanship - they'll get a small bump there & it's still quite a ways to the mid-terms.

he promised the world and made deals with multiple devils to get to where he his
 
people are fed up and waking up, we cant afford a "wait and see" attitude 
 
he had no experience to begin with and it is showing, all he does is tv interviews and speeches while unvetted left wing experts write his policies
 
and while i dont give a shit if the person is a dem or rep, i hope alot more than a few incumbents lose their jobs
