A New York judge slammed The New York Times for blurring the lines between news and opinion. The paper had attempted to get a defamation lawsuit against it dismissed on the grounds that, among other things, its reporters were just expressing their personal opinions when they disparaged the investigative journalists at Project Veritas.

The judge ruled the lawsuit can go forward, finding that Project Veritas showed sufficient evidence that The New York Times may have been motivated by “actual malice” and acted with “reckless disregard” when it ran several articles against the investigative journalism outfit.

Are you comparing data mining/privacy lawsuits of tech companies to a defamation lawsuit of a media outlet? Apples and cumquats. As far as the Nick Sandmann case goes, while his settlement wasn't disclosed, most experts have it at pennies compared to what he was asking for. Literal pennies. "Fuck off, kid" money.

Myth is that all news organizations lie to build audience.  In fact, there are few media trials in recent years according to Media law resource center.  Most defamation cases are dismissed because of difficulty in meeting the high standards required.  Rare for a news organization to lose.  Unlike Fox news, vast majority don't deliberately lie.

No evidence that Rittenhouse has settled or filed a $22 million lawsuit with ABC the view according to fact checks by Poynter, politifact and Associated press.  Also Facebook has flagged this claim as misinformation.  The fake news originate from "US Taters" a satire website where everything is fiction. 

Now that Tucker is fired, maybe Hunter Biden can write him another recommendation letter to help him get his next job!
