It’s nice to see that Roe V Wade is about to be overturned.
It should go back to the states — the people can vote and decide that they want for themselves.
Why are democrats so scared of democracy?

So I'm checking out how the Chinese are bad mouthing the US on their Global Times. And what do I see??
Some 2,000 people marched Saturday in Mexico City to demand the legal right to abortion be revoked, at the encouragement of the Catholic church and conservative groups
Now Google "Abortion March in Mexico City" and count how many of US MSM carried this story.
Oh, you may find some old abortion rights protestor stories BUT NOT THIS ONE!

Religion is at the heart of anti-abortion laws. But different religions don't agree on when life begins. Abortion is a question that has been debated for centuries and is still debated today. So government has no business requiring citizens to comply with the religious beliefs of those in power.
Abortion is essential healthcare that nearly one in four women need before age 45 according to Guttmacher institute. Sadly, states with the most restrictive abortion laws tend to have the highest pregnancy and childbirth mortality in the US.

Radical republican talking out their dairy air....
Push foster care and adoption.
So what's the bottom line of these programs?
Destruction of youth.

Studies show that children who been raised are far more likely to be incarcerated.
Republicans who hate science data education health care
the truth reality that their programs are destroying America.
https://www.teenvogue.com/story/the-foster-care-to-prison-pipeline-what-it-is-and-how-it-works
According to the latest data, there are 437,500 children in America’s foster care system, who like Randy, face a disproportionate risk of being incarcerated. The problem is so severe that one quarter of foster care alumni will become involved with the criminal justice system within two years of leaving care. Black youth, LGBTQ youth and those with mental illnesses are more likely to be in foster care, and discrimination in the system exacerbates these populations’ already disproportionate vulnerabilities to criminalization. Advocates refer to the “foster care-to-prison pipeline” to describe the practices and policies that funnel young people from the child welfare system into the criminal justice system.

I think people would believe pro-lifers stance more if they backed it up with legislation (tax dollars to protect, raise, care for babies that would normally be terminated); to protect say babies after they are born to mothers who may have wanted to terminate the pregnancy for a variety of reasons. There are just no honest actors anymore, just hyper partisanship and it's quite frankly nauseating to see this country reduced to this bulls*** on a consistent basis.
I highly doubt women who decide to terminate their pregnancy do so while laughing maniacally. It is a very tough decision and quite frankly a decision they should make privately. As of now, late term abortions are banned in most states unless there is a threat to the mother's life. So people who spout this are once again bad actors. People need to do better than regurgitate s*** they see on MSM news sources.
Bottom line, if you don't want an abortion, do not get one. Your beliefs are your own. Stay out of other people's affairs.
KO out.

This is an interesting position for someone on the left after what happened during Covid where government employees were forced to be vaccinated or lose their livelihood.

Abortions help women to participate in labor force and finish school to increase their earning potential. But denying access to abortion would damage US economy. Institute for women policy research found abortion restrictions could cut $105 billion annually from US gross domestic product. Higher risk of families living in poverty and need for public assistance.

I will be honest, they should have just implemented a get vaccinated or a wear a mask and test daily policy. That's just my personal opinion.
I will say comparing vaccines to abortions is going down the path of being a bad actor, so I would encourage you to find a more comparable analogy for your arguments.

Republican senator Tom Cotton’s push to arrest abortion protesters meets resistance from fellow Republicans
NBC NEWS, WASHINGTON — Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., wants the abortion-rights protesters demonstrating in front of the homes of Supreme Court justices to be swiftly arrested and prosecuted by the Justice Department.
But Republican colleagues, however, say that would go too far and that it could violate First Amendment protections.
“I think if they’re being peaceful and are staying off their property and are not disrupting neighborhoods or causing or inciting fear, it’s probably a legitimate expression of free speech,” Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., a former member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, said Wednesday.
“First Amendment rights are so, so special. … We should all be erring in favor of the First Amendment, in favor of freedom of speech, in favor of freedom of religion, in favor of the freedom of assembly,” she said. “Because if we start fearing our rights to speak and express our religious convictions, and if we fear assembly, the consequences of parsing those rights are extremely dangerous.”
Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., said he too believes peaceful protests — even outside the homes of justices — is protected speech.
“I’m a First Amendment guy, and I think that cuts both ways,” Braun said in an interview. “If they’re there and they’re doing it peacefully, I’m for that ability on either side of the political spectrum.”

Anti-abortion movement is based on deception. American medical association warns about Crisis pregnancy centres which are anti-abortion organizations disguised as clinics providing counseling. Actually, they have been criticized for spreading misinformation such as the following. Abortion causes cancer. Condoms don't work. Abortion pill is dangerous. Morning after pill causes abortion. Abortion costs more than pregnancy. Abortion is riskier than pregnancy. Abortion damages future ability to become pregnant. Ultrasound reveals baby heartbeat. Baby can smell or hear mother. Pregnant women have plenty of time to make an informed decision.

If they implemented mandatory child support at the first detected heartbeat you can bet your ass Republican men would change their minds about women’s choices real quick.

Scrapping Roe v. Wade would make
the US an outlier in the West
LONDON -
The official opinion would reverberate around the world.
It would firmly counter a global trend towards freer access to abortion, and place the US in a very small club of countries that have moved to restrict access in recent years.
Of the 36 countries the United Nations' Department of Economic and Social Affairs defines as developed economies, all but two -- Poland and Malta -- allow abortions on request or on broad health and socio-economic grounds, according to the Center for Reproductive Rights, which campaigns for improved access to abortion and monitors laws worldwide.
But an end to federal protection of abortion would see parts of the US join that tiny list.
It would also push against a global tide that has seen many nations, including those on the United States' doorstep, liberalize abortion laws in recent years.

Last year, Mexico's Supreme Court unanimously ruled that penalizing abortion is unconstitutional, in a decision impacting precedent for the legal status of abortion nationwide.
"Never again will a woman or a person with the capacity to carry a child be criminally prosecuted," Justice Luis Maria Aguilar said after the ruling. "Today the threat of imprisonment and stigma that weigh on people who freely decide to terminate their pregnancy are banished."
Meanwhile, Canada, is one of the few countries which allows abortion at any point during pregnancy.

On whether Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide, should be completely overturned, CNN's most recent poll conducted by SSRS showed that 66% did not want it to be overturned. This closely matches a recent CBS News/YouGov poll, which indicated that 64% of Americans want to keep Roe v. Wade as is.
Majority desire like this 64-66% won't seem to matter because the minority of conservatives will force their values against the majority.
Democracy?

That's the key, in my view. 66% of Americans, men and women, don't want Roe overturned.
That should be the guiding principle by SCOTUS next month. What the large majority of the American people want.
