Very little evidence abortions are the result of coercion.  More likely women have been forced to have sex without contraceptives.  Abortion is vital healthcare for women.  Banning abortions doesn't reduce the need.  Normally, risk of death is far higher with pregnancy compared to safe abortion.  But history shows making abortions illegal mean higher maternal mortality and more children living in poverty.  Anti-abortionists pretend to care about women and children.  But they usually don't support stronger social safety net.  So pro life movement really isn't pro life.

You can believe that it’s not ok to kill an 8 month old fetus and also believe that parents should be responsible enough to take care of their own kids.

Maine governor will not cooperate with outside states investigating abortions here.

Simply put this is a state matter and outside entities will not be entertained, she also welcomes anyone who wishes to flee their states persecution and can find refuge here in Maine as citizens.

She has ordered an internal review of state laws to remove any unnecessary conditions to receive the procedure.
