If the GOP seize control it is possible eh?
This land isn't North Korea, China or Russia, one political party can't control everything whatever it desires. This place is the land of democracy, not autocracy.

Concerning abortion.?
It should be a States right voted by the people of that state. Not decided by the politicians. Should not be on the federal level anyway. If someone is careless enough and gets knocked up, they can just go to a State where it's legal. The pimps can pay for their girls. Not every person voting Left agree with abortion.
The " it's my body"thing is just a leftist talking point. An excuse for irresponsibility and excuses for bad choices. If someone has to pay to go to a another state, maybe that's enough incentive to be smarter and less blase about it.
If you can't afford it.?. Just be more careful and responsible

So what is your point of bringing up "40 weeks" if you know abortions in the 3rd trimester are extremely rare? Just to argue? Just to be a troll?
Yes.

We need to hold hearings on the source of the Supreme Court leak, which Congress has an interest in doing as this could have been a hack or a spying operation by Russia.

Democrats are very upset at Will Chamberlain’s thread on Twitter.
1/Meet Elizabeth Deutsch. She's currently a law clerk for Justice Breyer.
And, in my humble opinion, she's the most likely person to have leaked the draft Supreme Court opinion in Dobbs, purporting to overturn Roe v. Wade.
2/But first, a disclaimer:
I have no inside information. This thread is speculation, based almost entirely on publicly available information. I could easily be wrong.
Cool? Cool.
3/Her academic background isn't that uncommon for Supreme Court clerks. Yale undergrad, Yale law, and 2 British Master's degrees, from LSE and Cambridge.
Do note the Master's degree in Gender.
4/Here's where things start to get interesting. Every law student has to write a note - a long legal research paper, usually making a novel argument about the law.
Elizabeth Deutsch wrote hers about reproductive rights and abortion.
5/Specifically, she argued that Obamacare's non-discrimination provision should be interpreted to *force* Catholic hospitals to perform "emergency abortions."
Aggressive argument - and hey, law students make aggressive arguments.
6/While in law school she wrote a NYT op-ed about reproductive rights. Sensing a theme here
7/Her career page on LinkedIn doesn't reveal that much...until we start digging a little further.
8/First, thanks to her NYT wedding announcement (of course), we know that she clerked for judge Nina Pillard.
9/Pillard was one of the DC Circuit judges appointed by Obama and forced through by Harry Reid blowing up the filibuster.
She's stridently pro-choice. Perhaps not shocking.
10/After her clerkships, she got a Gruber fellowship at the ACLU for a full year.
What was she working on?
You guessed it. Abortion and reproductive rights.
11/But none of this proves anything. Yes, Deutsch's career seems pretty focused on abortion. But without some connection to Josh Gerstein (the journalist who received the leak opinion) there would be no reason to suspect her.
12/Let's go back to that NYT wedding announcement.
"The bride and groom met at Yale. She is a lawyer. He is a journalist.
13/Isaac Arnsdorf just got hired by the Washington Post as a national political reporter. (Of course he's on the Trump beat).
14/But where has he written in the past?
Oh, look. He wrote for POLITICO.
SHARING A BYLINE WITH JOSH GERSTEIN.
15/Looks like Gerstein and they are still bros - chatting on Twitter, interacting as recently as last year.
So, to conclude:
We have a currently-serving Supreme Court law clerk whose career has been almost solely focused on abortion.
She wrote her law school note on abortion.
She wrote op-eds about reproductive rights.
She spent a year working on abortion for the ACLU.
She clerked for a stridently pro-choice appellate judge.
And it just so happens that her husband is a journalist, who shared bylines with Josh Gerstein at Politico, and it looks like they are still buds.
I don't know that Elizabeth Deutsch leaked the draft opinion.
But I certainly think someone who has spent much of their academic and professional life fighting to expand the right to get an abortion could be desperate enough to do so.

Death penalty is a good thing. Usually for a murderer or killer. A grown person highly damaged and in most cases beyond help. His or her vital organs should be used for transplants.
Abortion is taking an innocent human being. Because in most cases , it was the fault of the adults.
Guns are for protection of law abiding citizens. Who are now living in a country where violence is out of control.
Left or Right. No one in the political elite seem to care. Not all Democrats are against pro life

A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Now more than ever contraceptives should become easier to buy to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortions. Academy of family physicians and American college of obstetricians and gynecologists support easier access to over the counter birth control. Food drug administration allows mail order of drugs. Better for women to choose drug abortion instead of surgical abortion. Nowadays, half of all abortions are via pills taken within first 2 months of pregnancy. Much harder for states to stop mail order of pills.

Why do you need to hold hearings? No law was broken.

I think because a leak of the truth is much more important to certain people than going against the will of the majority.

It seems some people want to punish women who choose abortions. But there would be no abortion if not for the father. Shouldn't he also be responsible for the crime? Easy for people to be pro life when they don't experience the consequences.

Don't spin this into a leaked data.
This ruling came down as a 7-2 ruling in 1972. 5 republican appointed judges ruled that it was a privacy issue.
The overturning of this ruling is a disaster in the court. Every other precedence the court has ruled for last 5 decades dealing with rights to privacy in contraception gay marriage illegal searches and seizures.
The court has moved to fat with this ruling by a mob tied hacks that the traitor appointed....
