    @StumpTownStu

My comparing to vaccine mandates was a "tit for tat" for the mask wearing comment. Nothing more.

So what is your point of bringing up "40 weeks" if you know abortions in the 3rd trimester are extremely rare?

Just to argue? Just to be a troll?

What is the point of talking about my position on 3rd trimester abortions when they rarely occur, if ever? (less than 1% of all abortions)

    Explain.

Liberal “logic” goes something like this:

-Support “Black Lives Matter”, but then support Abortion which kill millions of black babies.

Support vaccine mandates, but then support Abortion, while using the phrase, “My body, my choice”.

    Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Why are you ok with 9,100 third trimester abortions (your numbers) every single year?

    Please explain.

NEW YORK (AP) — A solid majority of Americans believe most abortions should be legal in the first three months of a woman’s pregnancy, but most say the procedure should usually be illegal in the second and third trimesters, according to a new poll.

This is why democrats never want this issue to go to a vote. They hate democracy.

If women are having abortions at this stage it is due to complications or a medical emergency. You clearly know nothing about the medical side of this topic, so you should probably just stop posting on it.  Again 1% of abortions occur in 3rd trimester. Keep pushing your narrative though.  You are making this $hit up as you go as usual. We’ll use your numbers.   1% of 910,000 is 9,100.  9,100 is a lot, no?    350 black people were killed by cops and you had a major problem with that.  Please explain.

    Again under 1%. Could be 0.03%, 0.0.5%, 0.07%.

Where are you getting 910,000 number from? Doubt that there was that many abortions last year. Latest data I've seen is 630,000 nationwide abortions in 2019.

But lets go with 1% for the sake of your argument and 910,000 pregnant women (I'm sure made up). 9,100 (3rd trimester abortions). No that is not a lot.

167 million plus women in the country. Probably more than half are mothers. Nearly 85 million. We are talking about 9,100 (high range), medical third trimester abortions? Why is this even a policy issue?

Then you bring police brutality and black people being killed by cops into this discussion??? an_roll_laugh

Only you would do that and try to make an analogy. Ignorance at it's finest right there. an_light

    Classic troll. Nothing more.

Why are you ok with making numbers up? Show me where 9,1000 third trimester abortions occurred in 2020 or 2021 and then we can return to this number.

    What site or database?

I'm ok with third trimester abortions caused by medical emergencies or health complications for baby or mother, yes. That is almost always why 3rd trimester abortions occur.

You think most women are carrying babies into 3rd trimester and then just randomly deciding they don't want the baby anymore? Geezus you are braindead. Obviously, this entire topic is above your intelligence level.

When are progressives going to draft laws banning abortions after the first trimester with an exemption for medical emergencies with clear language?

    Never.

That is the opposite of what they’re fighting for.

True, the mother isn't into her third trimester but the fetus is moving around, making faces. You can start to see resemblance in certain facial features. Dare I say, they start to have personality. It's a little person you're killing off. I support a woman's choice, and the decision to, or not to, terminate a pregnancy can be the hardest decision any human ever had to make. Even in cases of rape, incest, etc, women struggle with this. I can't even fathom it so I'll try my best to refrain from judgement but is it to much to ask of a woman to get it figured out in a couple of months? Exactly. 8-12 weeks and taxes can’t be used to fund abortions or nasty nasty planned parenthood.

I wouldn't call PP a nasty organization. It's actually quite wonderful providing underprivileged women with free gynaecological services. Breast exams, pap smear, STD treatments, etc. However, I agree 100%, that taxes shouldn't be used to fund abortions if so may tax payers are against it. 8-12 weeks is more than reasonable. I realize what a tough decision this is for so many women but at a certain point, one needs to make such tough life decisions and I'm sorry, at 15-20 weeks, yes you may still be in the second trimester, but that's a legit little person you're carrying. It isn't just some embryo.

    Key word here.

Figured this is your only response. Nothing of substance to counter any point I made. In the grand scheme of things, very minimal number of third trimester abortions. Basically 0 in this stage for non-medical emergencies. Don't let facts get in the way of your silly narratives though. an_light

I'm sure you will bring up Black Lives Matter drivel to counter again and go completely off topic.

4.14.22 — CNN — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law on Thursday a Mississippi-style anti-abortion measure that bans the procedure after 15 weeks of pregnancy without exemptions for rape, incest or human trafficking.

The bill, which goes into effect July 1, does allow exemptions in cases where a pregnancy is "serious risk" to the mother or a fatal fetal abnormality is detected if two physicians confirm the diagnosis in writing.

Democrats are outraged. Do you have any understanding of what you’re talking about or do you just talk?

Sadly, US is going backwards because long term trend shows growing abortion rights worldwide.  Worst countries to live in tend to have restrictive abortion laws.  For examples, Venezuela, Libya and Iran.  Best countries to live in have greater freedoms.  For examples, Canada, Japan and Germany.  Nationwide, pro choice protests in support of abortion rights have started.  Similar to black lives matter protests because both oppose injustice and support civil rights.

We need to focus to n how to keep the house and Senate.

Some theories focus on lower turnout among the president’s supporters. Others emphasize the public’s tendency to sour on an incumbent president. They may both be correct to some extent.

Let the people vote on it and elect officials that align with their beliefs
