It's being reported... that a new report out from the Congressional Budget Office reveals ObamaCare will leave 30 million people without health insurance.
Currently, according to CBO, there are 53 million uninsured persons in the United States, including uninsured illegal aliens. The CBO estimates that in 2022–8 years after the Affordable Care Act has been fully implemented–30 million people will remain uninsured.
Not only will tens of millions be left uninsured, but the government takeover of healthcare is now expected to cost $2.6 trillion over the next ten years..............
Bbbbbut, I thought President Obama said that Republicans have one unifying principle - denying 30 million Americans the right to health care ?
There's got to be a mix-up somewhere ? You mean this wasn't about the uninsured all along, but a power grab ...because it would be cheaper to simply buy insurance for those alleged 30 million uninsured ,than completely revamp the whole US health care system ...
Tell us it's not true Joe ..! Tell us we weren't really lied to all along..

Obama delays the employer mandate for a year but will not delay the individual mandate. This is a disaster about to hit the American people right in the gut and it the wallet. Did you "gentle" men on the Left get your Obama phone?

Or is it due to loopholes which allow corporations/companies to not give coverage?
Its all about how you look at the situation.
At this point in time I'm really not sure ..I'm only on page #1,896 of the 2,400 pages in the Obamacare law ..and I haven't even started to read the 13,000 pages of Obamacare regulations yet..

I really don't know of one ...except repeal it ..maybe an alternative is necessary instead of going to socialized medicine, one without the mandates and the taxes..as a starter.
But,then again the American voters have an opportunity,to have the final say on Obamcare in the 2014 elections.. .with only about 33% supporting something that was force on them through vote buying by Democrat leaders in Congress back in 2009..

Even the unions are finally coming to understand what is really happening with Obamacare ..The passage of Obamacare was never intended to help people...All it ever was is a corrupt power grab ...
The leaders of three major national labor unions have sent a letter to House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid expressing concerns about the Democratic health care plan.
From :
James P. Hoffa General President International Brotherhood of Teamsters
Joseph Hansen International President UFCW
D. Taylor President UNITE-HERE
Dear Leader Reid and Leader Pelosi:
When you and the President sought our support for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), you pledged that if we liked the health plans we have now, we could keep them. Sadly, that promise is under threat. Right now, unless you and the Obama Administration enact an equitable fix, the ACA will shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.
(snip)
Since the (ACA )was enacted, we have been bringing our deep concerns to the Administration, seeking reasonable regulatory interpretations to the statute that would help prevent the destruction of non-profit health plans. As you both know first-hand, our persuasive arguments have been disregarded and met with a stone wall by the White House and the pertinent agencies.

I despise this argument. So if the Republicans don't have a plan to fix the HC system it means we should just leave and accept a horrible, corrupt law like the ACA?

no, but if the current system sucks and the democrats are the only ones presenting any system to try and change it and the republicans have presented no alternatives, what do you expect will happen? people can b*tch all they want but if the two choices are the existing shitty system and a new shitty system, chances are we're going to be stuck with a new shitty system.

True, but if the new shitty system is so bad that it makes the old shitty system look good/better, wouldn't reverting to the old system as a starting point be a better option?
I fully agree that what we had before Obamacare was not working, but to say we can't get rid of the new shitty system because you don't have anything better than the old shitty system is madness. I honestly believe that they made this law so bad on purpose that people will be begging for a single payer system within a few years.
Won't matter to me if I am able to pull off my plan of moving out of the US by the end of next year. I won't be subject to the ACA or it's fines/taxes. But it has the potential to further ruin this country financially. The system is dependant on the young people signing up in mass numbers but they simply cannot afford it.

i don't know, i guess we'll see but there is something to not having much credibility when complaining about the new system when you didn't propose an alternative, especially when that's what you do for a living, allegedly.

I can see your point on this, but if I'm walking down the sidewalk and see some dog crap, I will certainly complain about it even if I have nothing with me to clean it up.

The President has made it quite clear that the $2,000 a person has to pay for refusing to buy health insurance is a punishment for disobedience, not a tax and Warren Buffett has said he agrees with the President :s) --Press Secretary Jay Carney

Everything that MSNBC called us racist for pointing out in the Obamacare debate is coming true. Now that it is going to ruin people's lives and seriously FVck up the industry it will be easy to spread lies and disinformation because there is an entire swath of morons that got duped by Obamacare and will never admit it.
They could literally start convening death panels in nursing homes tomorrow, and it would not faze half of the zombies out there .

WASHINGTON — In another setback for President Obama’s health care initiative, the administration has delayed until 2015 a significant consumer protection in the law that limits how much people may have to spend on their own health care.
The limit on out-of-pocket costs, including deductibles and co-payments, was not supposed to exceed $6,350 for an individual and $12,700 for a family. But under a little-noticed ruling, federal officials have granted a one-year grace period to some insurers, allowing them to set higher limits, or no limit at all on some costs, in 2014.
...
Under the policy, many group health plans will be able to maintain separate out-of-pocket limits for benefits in 2014. As a result, a consumer may be required to pay $6,350 for doctors’ services and hospital care, and an additional $6,350 for prescription drugs under a plan administered by a pharmacy benefit manager.

The 173-member strong Republican Study Committee is on track to roll out
legislation this fall that would replace the 2010 Affordable Care Act
