President Joe Biden fired Brett Blanton on Monday following
allegations that he misused government resources and was
not physically present on the Capitol grounds during the January 6,
2021, Trump-incited insurrection, a White House official said.

Biden “terminated” Blanton amid bipartisan calls for his firing
or resignation, the official said.

In the fall, an inspector general report accused Blanton of abuse of
government property and wasting taxpayer dollars by allowing his
family to drive a government-owned vehicle and taking the vehicle
on out-of-town trips to South Carolina and Florida, according to the
report.
   The federal watchdog also accused Blanton,
who was appointed by former President Donald Trump,
of ethics violations over an offer to provide tours to “patriots” 
weeks before the November 2020 election.

jobs and struggle to find new employment. The unemployment
rate rises, which reduces the competition for labor and can
drive down wages.

The same jobs report also noted unemployment
falling to a more than 50-year low of just 3.4%

We learned that infrastructure money is coming to our small town to repair/replace 6 bridges that were built in the 1950's.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday reaffirmed the basis for a rule that requires “significant reductions” in mercury and other harmful pollutants from power plants, reversing a harmful move late in former President Donald Trump's administration to roll back emissions standards.

The EPA said it found it “appropriate and necessary” to regulate emissions of toxic air pollution under the Clean Air Act, setting the stage to restore protections enacted when President Barack Obama's EPA issued the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards.

         The move is in line with a larger push by the EPA under
President Joe Biden to restore the numerous federal environmental
protections that were rolled back by Trump's administration, like
reinstating rigorous environmental reviews for large infrastructure
projects, protecting thousands of waterways and preserving
endangered species.

Daily beast reports that Biden's plan to incentivize legal immigration and toughen enforcement have dramatically reduced illegal immigration from 4 countries.  Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Haiti.  By extending humanitarian paroles to allow more immigration from other countries, Biden may be the first president to gain control of southern border in generations.
