HEADLINES today . . . Biden to announce executive action on the border because the republicans blew up the bipartisan deal they had asked for "As the president makes his announcement, let's be very clear about one thing. Legislation would have been the more effective way to go," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on the floor. "But given how obstinate Republicans have become turning down any real opportunity for strong border legislation, the president is left with little choice, but to act on his own." Schumer said it was a "disgrace" the Republicans buckled to pressure from Donald Trump to kill that bipartisan compromise so that Trump could maintain a key reelection issue. He said that while the executive order is not the preferred method to deal with the border, "it's better than doing nothing." *And he is correct. The bipartisan bill which therepublicans had demanded AND WERE GIVENwas the prefered way to go -- but the fascistCONVICTED FELON told his accomplices to nixthe bill so he would have an issue to run on.
Didn't the bill you speak of that was shot down include additional aid to Ukraine and was not just about the border?????
That's the problem with bills...they include so much garbage in them that issues can't be addressed. Instead of dealing with just the major issues, they always throw in other issues that may impact others from voting yay....I believe the politicians became more savvy of this when Obama slipped in Obamacare (ACA) in one of his bills and it passed because it was determined then that our elected officials were not fully reading the whole document before voting on it...
Stop including so much shit in these bills and they are more likely to get passed...this goes for Republicans and Democrats alike....a lot more would get resolved if there was some simplification of the process...I'm glad the border bill was shot down if it included more aid to Ukraine...I have not been a big proponent of the continual aid to Ukraine...the initial funding I didn't have a problem with but after that you could clearly see what was happening and that America was funding a war that it is not directly involved in nor with a NATO member....
this is what I recall from the border bill but I could be mistaken...

Necessary for bipartisan bill to include both military aid and border security. Democrats and republicans only agree to compromise deal if they get some of what they want. Under separate bills, military aid passed but not border bill. Especially not partisan bills from either party. DeSantis blames republicans for abandoning the most conservative border deal in years and losing all bargaining leverage.

the latest IRS effort to target wealthy tax cheats could raise $50 billion over a decade!
Washington CNN —
The Internal Revenue Service announced Monday its latest move to crack down on wealthy tax cheats – an ongoing effort boosted by funding received through the Democrat-backed Inflation Reduction Act.
The agency estimates the new initiative could result in the collection of $50 billion over 10 years by closing a major tax loophole used by some business partnerships to avoid paying taxes they owe.
Meanwhile, the CONVICTED FELON leader of the GOP is promising to further increase US debt and handcuff our economy by giving away more tax cuts to the morons that wrongly think this is a net good for America

Center for budget policy priorities found that Trump tax cuts failed to deliver economic benefits as promised. History shows that trickle down economics don't pay for themselves. Congress budget office estimates Trump tax cuts would cost extra 3.9 trillion in lost revenue from 2026 to 2035. But in the future, government revenue needs to increase because of changing demographics and healthcare costs.

Can you explain to the masses how someone is a 'convicted felon' in a totally rigged court? Also. Please explain the specific name of the crime/crimes that President Trump committed.

every election cycle its always the same
the republicans promise their cult to reduce taxes (but increase tarriffs which is a hidden tax on american consumers)
then our govt falls even further in debt
an ongoing cycle since clinton posted an enviable economic record
then after the failed gop get booted out the dems r left with the disasterous mess and ballooned debt thanks to the gop
when the dems try everything they can to improve the situation the republicans then blame everything they can on the dems
the fools once again vote back into office the GOP criminals who caused the problems in the first place
and the cycle restarts again
"I'm the MOST HONEST HUMAN BEING that God has EVER created!!" - Donald Trump

FBI reports violent crimes are near a 50 years low. This is no accident. Over the past 3.5 years, Biden administration has signed into law stiffer gun laws, funded more police, invested in crime prevention programs and demanded greater accountability.

Trump administration added twice as much to national debt as Biden according to nonpartisan Committee for responsible federal budget watchdog. Even without pandemic relief spending. White house says Trump administration didn't sign a single bill to reduce budget deficit. Whereas Biden has signed a bill for $1 trillion in deficit reduction.

Righting a historic wrong, Biden to pardon thousands of veterans convicted of being gay under military law. Previously, he shows the proper use of clemency power by pardoning thousands convicted for marijuana possession. In contrast, self serving Trump abuses power by pardoning associates and promising to pardon criminals convicted of attacking capitol. Absurd to call them patriots and hostages.

According to Politico, Biden administration announces first ever federal regulation to protect workers from extreme heat. Occupational safety and health administration requires water and a cool place during rest breaks for employees exposed to excessive heat. Purpose is to reduce number of illnesses and deaths.

That's $9 BILLION of taxpayer money, every month, for the full four YEARS (48 months) that the fascist-dictator-wannabee was given power. And the MAGAs were OK with that spending....
