Trump ranted and whined before the 2020 election that the stock market would crash if Joe Biden is elected rather than him.
how did that lie work for him ??
how did that lie work for him ??
how did that lie work for him ??
I purposely added the Biden rant in the hopes you might see yourself, but I give up. Everytime you mention Trump it comes full of hate and name calling.
Whining, golden shoes, yammering, a fraud, a lair, fake China tariffs, not a Christian, etc, and that is just in the last two pages here.
And then me, claiming I prefer corporations to poor people, claiming I am Ultra Conserative with my pals and clique. I am rude and combative, etc.
You purposely mislabel me in a bad light and then get pissed when I respond.
Right now according to polls more people prefer Trump over Biden. Are they all dimwits and you and your "clique" stand as the only intellegent life?
I am stopping here so you can get that last word.

@UNIMAN
Good points and I think the Trump supporters were called "deplorables" and "gun loving, bible toting" from the previous. This election it was MAGA is the greatest threat to democracy.
What I find funny is many of the black males are looking at the Republican party and now the minorities are also coming over from all the fake prosecution of Trump. They seen this in the 3rd World countries where they jailed the political opponents and do not want it here.

Say it isn't so, botox Joe!

President Joe Biden is so desperate to convince voters he's vital enough to handle another four years in the Oval Office, he's dropped more than six figures on cosmetic procedures, plastic surgeons exclusively tell In Touch.
Doctors are convinced the 81-year-old commander in chief has had more nips and tucks than a Hollywood actress.

The following statement is from Donovan Clingan, UConn center and 2 time National Champion. Friendly, friendly reminder to all of you that voted for joe biden and helped him be placed inside the White House. The following is the man you voted for! Tragic indeed!

“Last year, after we won the national championship, we went to the White House,” Clingan explained. “We took a picture with Joe Biden, team picture. Joe Biden talked to us for about three minutes and then right after that he asked us for a picture again.”
The basketball star said Biden “completely ignored” the team’s coach and that the team “couldn’t really understand” what Biden was saying.

My question is. Why would somebody want to go to the White House after winning a National Championship? The women from South Carolina could make a statement by respectfully declining an invitation to the White House and joe biden.

To go through the motions and not be targeted by the liberial media. Besides they can later write a book "How Joe couldn't stop sniffing my hair".
Personally I like it much better when active athletes stick to the game and not politics, both sides.

So from an economics perspective, tell me how Bidenomics caused the rise in prices? Do you understand how pricing is determined from an economic perspective?
You guys like to throw out Bidenflation and Bidenomics because it is a cute partisan catch phrase but Ive never had any of you actually explain how the increase in government spending president over president actually created inflation from a MONETARY creation perspective. So are you willing to show me based on true real data, financial and fiscal data that will prove your point or are you just looking for a bud light high 5 from your partisan pals?
Inflation is either supply driven, demand driven or a combination of both in a capitalist economy. I would make claim that based on true data this inflation is "greed-flation" and really has pretty much nothing to do with an increase in government spending. You can sprinkle in higher costs for raw goods and labor but 25% 29% 104% is not even close to what wages have gone up so the rest is either raw goods or greed.
This forum could be a great place to discuss politics and economics but instead its just two groups of antagonizing partisan loud mouths trying to one-up each other.

Wallstreet after three years of Trump; https://www.covers.com/forum/politics/why-are-we-running-a-trillion-dollar-deficit-this-year-103372528
"Can someone tell me why we are running these massive historically high deficits with literally nothing to show for it?
Standard of living has dropped, the numbers do not lie..debt has gone up MASSIVELY with Trump and that has and will continue to erode current and future standard of living for the middle class and poor, the average taxpayer. "

I would imagine that is something I would say that debt racked up during Trump was of no value or purpose, we were on ZIRP during Trump and that means less of government expenses went to debt service than Biden, we were also on super strong economic footing during all but the end of his term. When conditions are good that is when you spend LESS and make improvements to fiscal condition of the government. Same goes with people..when you are making a decent living and life is good that is when you save and invest and be smart. Trump added debt when he should have reduced it, just based on ZIRP alone.
I did answer your contention but you did not answer mine. Can you show based on fiscal data that the increase president over president on debt forced demand based inflation? Also if you really want to be completely FAIR you should strip out the difference in interest payments to tell what the TRUE increase in government spending is. The FED raised rates, Biden did not raise rates and Trump did nothing to deserve ZIRP, so to tell the full true story you need to strip out interest costs and compare increase in spending...then tell me how that increase forced demand based inflation.

If the money supply grows faster than the economy, it will generally increase prices of products. Part of the money supply factors is printing money, it's not the only factor but a big one. So, all this AID money sent to Ukraine wasn't freed up from other places. Just like this college tuition Joe wants to cancel, it doesn't just disappear it has to be paid back from other places. In this case every American taxpayer will be paying for your neighbors kid business degree that they won't use.
Back to the point, if you look at the charts of month to month from usinflationcalculator.com when Biden took office in 1/2021 it was 1.4%. Really shocking considering the US went a whole year dealing with unknown Covid. Inflation rates actually went down in Trumps last year in office . In May 2021 inflation under Biden shot up to 5.0%
I say under Biden because it's his time in office, so as a reference point not a blaming point. Dec 2021 up to 7.0%. June of 2022 peaked at 9.0%. Then it took a whole year to get down to the avg where it sits today around 3-4% range. So inflation did go down under Joe, Yes and No. It shot up over 7% fast and gradually settled down to current levels but its nowhere near the 1.5% that was during Trumps time.
Hear is the thing, If Joe isn't responsible for inflation, then he can't claim that inflation is lower than two years ago because of him and his policies. You can't have it both ways.
Has Joe ever touted he lowered inflation? I'm not sure I will have to dig for that info, but I bet you a gentleman's wager he most certainly will tout that fact leading up to November.

Is it just me, every time I see Karine Jean-Pierre I think of sesame street with Abby Cadabby. There has to be a voice of Abby dubbed over Karine press conference out the somewhere. Having young kids and comparing their shows to news shows that adults watch only to find people who kind of look like Muppets
If only the comedians could still make comedy in these times without worrying about being canceled

just stating facts , of course you call out a member thats conservative ...do you ever go to a supermarket ?
almost daily here i read that Trump is responsible for millions of deaths in the USA , "Covid" , i cant recall you ever asked one of these individuals to back it up .
it would not make a difference if Donna Brazile moderated this forum , sad

Cute...you are so picked on that you cannot answer a simple question. Me being a mod has nothing to do with you throwing out terms like Bidenflation and Bidenomics does it?
I asked since you threw out those terms and claims that you have a discussion about the validity of those claims using FISCAL data, does that mean I am abusing you in asking for a conversation on a topic you tossed out there? Were you being serious with your claims or are you just wanting a back slapping from your partisan group? Simple question.
To that topic though and nobody has addressed it because most of you are unable and for sure unwilling and it sounds super cool blaming Biden for something when it is untrue but it is loud and obnoxious and it moves you towards your partisan objective plus you can try to rub the inflation in the nose of the other side which I know you love to do.
So again can you address your claim or not? I can have a discussion with either side on a topic without resorting to insults and generalizations and this forum could be great if everyone was able to do that so you are invited to make conversation on a topic you brought up?
If you or any of you go and research how much of government funds are used for inflation generating endeavors it would probably surprise you on how little it is. Inflation generation means domestic programs that put cash into the hands of citizens, those citizens purchase products and that creates DEMAND based pressure on prices, more demand than supply....simple concept. Also government programs can assist businesses which invest in domestic purchases of goods and services and raw inputs that increase pressure based on that demand...again demand based inflation.
Then you have government outlays that are not domestic or that do not impact inflation. So interest on debt does not directly create domestic demand, there are foreign investment owners there are pension funds that have incorporated payouts based on government interest, that does not stimulate more domestic demand and thus inflation. The government has spend BILLIONS on supporting Israel and Ukraine that does not directly impact domestic demand for goods and services and thus does not impact inflation.
Can you see that just tossing out some flimsy data without context is quite stupid and missing in the context? What bugs me the most in your very lacking reply was the comment about Covid and Trump...what does that have to do with your message about Bidenflation? Deflecting is a pretty lame retort and does not take you off the hook for the comments. Are you able to discuss your inflation claims or not?

Nothing flimsy when the truth is spoken.
"Standard of living has dropped, the numbers do not lie..debt has gone up MASSIVELY with Trump and that has and will continue to erode current and future standard of living for the middle class and poor, the average taxpayer. "
Funny the real median income was never higher when this statement was posted "the standard of living dropped".
Funny how debt has gone up "MASSIVELY" with Trump yet every 100 days now it surpasses Trump's total year in 2019.
Not funny Joe said "DON'T" and Iran didn't hesitate.
