141 countries of United nations vote in favor of Russia leaving Ukraine. 32 countries abstain including China and India. Just Russia and 6 countries vote against resolution.
Historically, most wars end in negotiations. War could end tomorrow if Russia simply stops attacking Ukraine and withdraws its forces. NATO and Ukraine aren't attacking Russia. This is a war chosen by Putin.

We, the USA, just got out of a long stint in Afghanistan where billions were spent & very little accomplished. Putin, with a new regime in place in the US, now decides he wants Ukraine back. The US, predictably, gets involved.......a little at a time. We're now involved to the tune of over $100,000,000,000, after we've had very little time to recover & the current admin. has quashed moral in our military. Putin, who doesn't give a shit about his people or the Ukrainians, would love nothing more than to bleed us dry with another long stint in an unwinnable situation, all the while destroying much of the country.
Think about it. Even if Ukraine prevails in god knows how much time, who do you think is gonna help them rebuild their infrastructure at an incredible cost? If Putin prevails, do you think he's gonna rush in & rebuild that country? With what? Not to mention the ongoing tension that would go on forever between the Ukrainian people & Russians that try to occupy it. Poland is already getting crushed by the weight of over a million refugees that have streamed into the country. It's a lose-lose situation for everyone.......except Putin.
I don't disagree with us supporting Ukraine. They're seeing their country getting destroyed & thousands are getting killed. The the only humane thing to do is help them. But how far can we go?

"Putin, with a new regime in place in the US, now decides he wants Ukraine back."
I kinda disagree Mugg.
The Ukraine has had fighting on their eastern side for years. Pro-Russian citizens going at it with Pro-Ukraines. No doubt Putin helped fan the flames, (the US does the same shit throughout the world.) Ukraine backed and supplied the Nazi-fied Azov group. So both sides going at it in "regional skirmishes".
The Ukraine has been and is a corrupt country. Even NATO said they had to clean up the corruption before even being considered. (No wonder Hunter landed there.)
So if your Putin and your neighbor is battling your people living there and then you find out they're going to join NATO and have WMD's pointed at you and at that point anything you (Putin) do to help Russians in Ukraine is now considered attacking a NATO member. That would be unexceptable.
So Biden gets elected, calls Zelensky and the next day all Russian speaking television stations are shutdown. This is before any Russian buildup at the border.
So Putin masses troops in the spring and wants this resolved, he wants Ukraine not to join NATO. He basically gets an FU what'a you going to do about it. Then he invades.

Find it interesting when Goggling "Biden called Zelensky and the next day Russian speaking television was shut down" and ALL I get is one article from foreign media. Note that Zelensky's popularity was falling fast at the time with a less than 40% approval rating.
Funny how the media points out Russian propaganda and censorship yet reading Wikipeda and most media is like reading Tass.

I admit that I'm ignorant as to most of the history of the border fighting between the two. Supposedly, the corrupt element of Ukraine has been getting rooted out, but to what extent I don't know. Maybe the timing is a coincidence, but it seems like it was perfect for a dictator like Putin to start a battle that he knew we would inevitably get involved in. I just wonder what the actual acceptable end game is for all involved.

--Thanks to the United States freedom of speech in the Ukraine is no more.
--The actions of 2016 have led to 8,000,000 Ukrainian refugees. The United States said they would take a mere 100,000. How many govt paid plane loads of UKRAINIAN refugees to the US have you seen? How many are set up in +$300 a night New York hotels?????
The madness continues.............

Putin states to russia that the motherland is at stake. The west will carve up russia and exploit the natural resources.
That this war must be waged as the final stand against the empirical designs of western nations .
China has agreed to send weopoins and personal to support russia. North korea and iran both are now engaged within the wagner group with boots on the ground and drones in the sky...,

your personal feelings get in the way of you seeing the light of the real world....you name call many people who you don't agree with, I get it, that is the radical liberal way when you can't intelligently explain your thoughts and feelings in a manner than may contradict something you read or heard..... I don't know who Charlie Kirk is nor do I care but I did see the entire video.
Your buddy Zelensky is saying that if Ukraine falls then NATO will be next which will lead to the US having to defend NATO and then the US having to put troops on the ground which will lead to the death of young Americans.
Yes, I saw all of that. You could have stated the same if you saw the video but you chose not too.....
Get outside and enjoy some of that Florida sunshine. Spend some time with your grandkids, bring some joy into that life of negativity....
Thank you America

Well, now you know Charlie Kirk is a fucktard & you realize he shouldn't be used as a quality source. I was rather polite & set you straight so to speak.
Fishing has been fantastic & so have the MLB exhibition games. Love the new pitch clock rules. Grandkids love getting autographs even from players with uniform #'s like 88 & 92.
We've had some of the best weather in the country.
Life is very good.

completely missing my point.... I don't care or have personal feelings for media people on left, right middle or upside down. That video can be seen by literally dozens of different sources. I'll take your word on Chuck being a "fucktard" again, don't care.....I source information from all directions; using logic, critical thinking and intelligence to filter through all the BS and make my owned informed decisions. All walks of media are bought and paid for....it helps knowing "who" owns them in filtering through the cesspool.
Fishing....you've got my attention.....in shore or off ???
Thank you America

Yea, I've lost faith in the media as well. However, if we didn't have them who would expose the corrupt scumbags influencing our lives. Lost faith in the FBI, Justice Dept. & the Supreme court too.
This war has gone on way too long & I caught some shit in here calling for a comrade to punch Putin's ticket. I still believe that would bring an abrupt end to this craziness.
Offshore fishing....the ocean has been calm & either you fish the reefs or you look for floating debris & birds hanging around weed lines. We normally fish during the week because there are too many yahoos on the water during the weekend who make it dangerous at times. Went for sailfish Monday & came up empty. Got some excitement when a barracuda attacked our live goggle eye about 50 feet behind the boat but he got off. Funny thing is my wife & I don't eat fish. When we catch something of quality like mahi or swordfish, we give it to neighbors. Otherwise, it's catch/release for us.
Staying off the water nest week because we'll be inundated with Spring Break kids & the NCCA BB tournaments will be in full swing.

Yeah I hear you, we need more journalists, investigative reporters, human beings concerned with the truth and getting the facts out there. Those people are a dying breed and the financial reality of the current main stream media is a big part of the problem. The recent rise of independent journalists is no coincidence.
The beauty of the East coast is that you can get offshore in a hurry and hit those reefs.....the opposite of my side where it takes at least an hour out in the Gulf to get to the good spots. Not much offshore for me but inshore is always a treat....Monday is usually my offseason day, no weekends....and catch & release myself...a bad day fishing beats any day working
Thank you America
