And now all of a sudden Obama is the devil incarnate after 7 mos & the conservatives/'pubbies are the party of the "people"?

Where was it illegal or unconstitutional to go to war? I don't have a problem with going as much as dicking around with this for profits while the country is going broke. If Bin Laden owed the IRS $11, they would've found him by now. It insults my intelligence that he's within a 100 mile square area at the most and 8 yrs later not squashed like the bug he is.
Take the gloves off and use the weapons we have. I can't figure if were more incompetent or corrupt, top to bottom, it's sickening.

President Bush didn't do it alone.......
 
Iraq War Resolution (formally the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (i.e., a law) passed by the United States Congress in October 2002 as Public Law No: 107-243, authorizing the Iraq War.
 
 
 ,,..and every member of Congress, that voted for Iraqi war funding is complicit..........Democrats broke their promise in (2006) to voters, they were given a mandate to end the Iraq war when they gained a majority ......
 
.........but they continued to fund the war...
 
 
Congress never declared war against Afghanistan and the present administration and Congress are funding the cost of that operation ...plus escalating it by increasing the troop levels ........

SS - of course he didn't do it alone but it still didn't make it any less illegal & unconstitutional. Would have never passed an up & down vote in Congress -
 
I realize for you conservatives who look at the Constititution as the bible, that must be awful hard to swallow but then alot of what the Bush admin did must have tough to stomach. At least now you got Obama & his admin to use as your whippin boy along with help from the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity & Beck. Classy company -

Cashout, go check your facts regarding the vote to authorize the president. You obviously haven't. I know you've been duped to believe Bush did it all on his own. And don't forget to add MIchael Savage to that list of people that try to open your eyes. I know the light hurts at first, but it'll be ok.

I still havent seen you post any link or thoroughly explain this comment.  I dont expect you to either as it would have to be quite detailed.

I respect you cashin, but to make a vague blanket statement like this without any explaination is nothing more than throwing stones.

I'll listen if you'd like to explain how GWB lied to us and illegally and unconstitutionally took us to war.  But be factual and thorough.

considering an Act of War must be declared by Congress to go to war.....

this was not a war like WW II per se and i think there was only 1 or 2 dissenting votes in all of congress on the Iraq operation

not defending the iraqi thing...just saying

Killer_B & bake - KOAJ's 1st line is correct. Obviously, I meant more in a technical & constitutional sense & the illegality is still being debated in some quarters. Paul talks about it some in the below link & you can find other info about it just by googling -
 
Much worse was that we were misled & deceived about it IMO & then the credibility of Powell was used/abused at the UN. Some folks I know who had always had a certain kind of trust in the prez/govt at least about something as serious as going to war, had qualms about it from the beginning but were somewhat reassured when they heard Powell at the UN.

If van jones is such a tough guy with the constitution behind him,why the f*ck did he resign?

I guess President Obama doesn't see anything wrong with what Van Jones has said or done.............

David Axlerod White House senior adviser was asked Sunday - Did Van Jones' resignation come at the request of the President ? 

"Absolutely not -- this was Van Jones' own decision," David Axelrod told NBC's "Meet the Press" when asked if the president had ordered the resignation.

Not that I'm surprised but the USA Today has not 1 word regarding Van Jones in todays paper. The story was on the website Saturday night and garnered 4400 comments on the blog. By Sunday night it was moved off the front page of the site and into the "Washington" section. Of course on the front page of the paper today it does touch on something that affects us all: Bay Bridge Closed to Trafffic as in the SF Golden Gate Bridge. Are they kidding or what? What a disgrace the liberal media is.
