Trump proposed mass deportation would be a nightmare. There aren't enough ICE agents, detention facilities and funding from congress to make his half baked plan work. Deporting millions of migrants would take decades if they could be found. Expect families in overcrowded camps. Desperate US citizen children searching for missing immigrant parents and Americans wrongfully detained in immigration raids. Also courts are likely to block mass deportation. Since migrants cannot be held indefinitely, they must be released into the US. Besides, past presidents realize mass deportation isn't necessary because it would damage US economy.
According to Scientific American, project 2025 plans to limit FEMA aid to states for disaster relief. Dissolving federal flood insurance, disaster preparation and reducing public rebuilding fund. Potentially, millions of households could be devastated. As president, Trump delayed disaster aid to Puerto Rico and diverted FEMA funds to deport immigrants. In 2020, each state was declared a emergency due to the pandemic which drained billions of dollars from FEMA.

I'm guessing low single digits here....lots of outlandish claims being made on both sides that will never come to fruition...the ideas might be great, but they will never be executed...
For example, I keep seeing a Kamala ad that claims that she is going to get the billionaires to pay their fair share of taxes....this has been an action item for how many years and it never goes anywhere...mostly it goes nowhere because any office that tries to create higher taxes for the rich is met with resistance once it is realized that by doing so one loses that financial support needed to remain in office and to continue to have the financial backing from the big boys...I mean, do these politicians think we are that stupid that we don't know what is going on and that this claim about taxing the rich never gains traction for obvious reasons...they should really stop with this because it will never happen to the capacity that they claim or propose to the American people that they will do once they take office...it's all lies....the rich make up this country and the middle class are the country....either way, big dollars still holds clout in this country...it did 200 yeas ago and still does today and will never change in the future...money will always talk...
That's just one example, not to pick on Kamala alone as Trump has idiotic claims as well but I keep seeing this commercial by Kamala and it makes me laugh when it mentions billionaires and big corporations must pay there fair share...not going to happen...both these candidates are bloated for very different reasons...

His plan to boost economy by increasing oil production is unlikely to have a meaningful effect on social security finance.
If elected, Trump economic proposals would bankrupt social security 4 years earlier in trajectory. However Harris plan to increase taxes on people earning over $400,000 could make social security solvent for decades. Moreover, benefits could increase and just 7% of Americans would pay higher taxes.

Of course Social Security should increase taxes on people making over $400,000, but I don't know where that $400,000 figure came from. If it's the VP, she needs to rethink that.
I have read that the Social Security tax is capped at $168,600 for 2024. A person making anything under that has 100% of his/her income taxed. Steph Curry is scheduled to make $55.8 million this year, 99.7% of which will have no Social Security taxes deducted. Steph Curry can afford to pay more taxes.

Of course those last two figures are only estimates, but I have been following politics for about 60 years and I have never seen the majority of federal Republicans side with employees even once. The last time the federal minimum wage was raised was way back in 2009, and of course inflation has eaten away at that meager figure.

If the legislation truly is beneficial to all Americans (on both sides) without causing harm/distress to businesses (like dumbass tariffs would do) or to the environment, and can pay for itself without significantly adding to our ND, then I hope both parties vote for whatever it is...
