It was a bet where if the Saints lose, I not only take the Cap Lock button off my MAC but also not post for the next 2 weeks after, until the playoffs. I thought it was a great bet and a friendly one at that. I kept my word and was happy to do so." A BET IS A BET ". Congrats to SHRED by the way.

 I propose the same bet to anyone on this forum. I say if the Saints win and cover ATS, those who think otherwise may not post just for 1 week in any game and vise versa.. Those that want to participate may post their interest into this friendly wager and I will post who is on Saints and who is on the Cards. Put your keyboard where your mouth is sorta speak. Its all about typing rights not bragging rights.

Warner looked perfect Sunday night...

I think the AZ defense steps up after being embarrassed.... then winning the shootout.....

every one was high on greenbay. Az was the play for me.

Az's chances are reallly high here. they are a team that know how to play in the playoffs. nwo is a hell of a team but az for an upset for me. the who dats can't get it done this time with warner keeping up with breez. it comes down to a last min interception.

kinda liking arizona here, they should be able to score at will, I also believe that they will use the run game even more to keep their defense off the field. Maybe a play on the under as well.  I was on GB until about a half hour before the game and then changed to Arizona.  I will keep an eye on the line before deciding officially.

since you knew the Eagles were not going to cover you should have told me... I would have listened... and would be up money right now.... I took AZ moneyline against GB.... why not ride them again? 

I mean, the Saints lost to the buccs..... the Tampa Bay Bucc's.... come one now... in the dome? if they Buccs can beat the who dat's, why can't the Cardinals?

Saints can score on both sides of the ball and the Cards should be able to put up some points on this tough Saints defense. The over looks like the play but still uncertain. The rest might of thrown off the chemistry of the Saints offense a bit so I'm also looking at taking the Cards in the 1st half banking on the Saints starting off slow. During the regular season the Saints were better known for their second half scoring as oppose to them starting off strong. The Cards were just the opposite on the road I think.

I believe that the bucs have surprised a lot of other teams as well. Now, as for why the Cards wont beat the Saints:

1) Well rested against beat up for 4 quarters and over time

2)Saints in full force on both sides of the ball. I expect the Saints "D" of early season. They were ranked #4 then.

3) If the GB Packers can score 45 on Zona, how much do you think the Saints will put up in the Dome

4) Any team coming off a bye week is most likely to perform 30-40% better than the last few games on both sides of the ball

5) Bucs I believe won from a special team TD return late in the game. At that game also were the Saints not in full force as they will be in this game.

6) Saints is 7/10 agaist the Cards and 7-2-1 ATS

7) Most of all, it is the playoffs and Sean Peyton has had his players hyped and mentally, physically and emotionally ready for this game and games ahead.

8) Just take the bet as posted and see who wins Bookieboy. I like your capping more than most, but i am absolutely sure that you are on the wrong team on this one.

I pretty much agree!  You know when Tampa Bay beats you on your home field, you're in trouble!  I think the Saints will come out early and prove they belong, and if they do manage to win it won't be by very much.  I don't like the Over here at all, more defense will show than expected .......   ZONA +7  leaning Under right now !

     To me, this game is going to be insanely competitive. I don't see a blow out at all. The only thing i can really say would be any kind of outstanding advantage would be playoff experience, which would go to Warner. Brees hasn't been to the playoffs in three seasons. I'm not saying this will cause the Saints to lose necessarily, but it will certainly play a factor in the QB department.

     Play off football is a much different animal than the regular season. Win or go home seems to drive individuals to outstanding performances beyond their assumed capabilities. And those who know how to handle these types of situations have the upper hand.

Defense will decide this game.

Great points made but I beg to differ on the experience coming into play against the Saints. You said it yourself that the Saints have not had lots of playoff experience. This will mentally boost them to play harder. The playing smarter comes from top notch coaching staff that calls the plays and each player just needs to perform their tasks 120% on every play and they will on both sides of the ball.

                "As far as the "D" winning this game "

 Don't forget that Darren Sharper who is #3 in the league for INT's in the regular season and Will Smith also #3 in sacks in the league are both playing and 100% healthy and starting. These 2 guys practice against the top QB and offensive line. Saints with lack of experience in the playoffs will not let this chance go by but take it that much more seriously. The opportunity which is more than possible to win the Super Bowl this year and years after is on every players mind, especially Drew Brees.

The offenses that the cards had played all year were pretty predictable as far as who will get the ball. I think this past game with GB was a sign of fatigue more than anything. Now they have to defend against the #1 offense in the league. They have not yet played against a QB that throws to everyone and their mothers if they are open. Drew has a great talent in reading the defense and tear them apart. With a running team of Pierre Thomas, Bell, and Bush also 100% healthy, it must be intimidating to a bruised and battered defense of the Cards. Look at the top fifty receivers in the league and you will find that their are 2 from both teams that are listed. What I see is the spread of which Colsten and Henderson are apart. That comes from Drew once again not favoring a specific receiver. As a matter of fact, the whole saints offensive  legible receivers of the ball do not have records but all very respectable.

Last but not least my friend is that they are playing in the home of the loudest rednecks and festive fans in the nation. It is known that the Louisiana Super Dome is the hardest field to win at. Saints with home field advantage through out the playoffs is a factor that weighs heavily against their opponents to come whom ever it may be. The one thing that I agree with is that the playoffs is a different animal in it self so you might as well count the last few home games out, that and the fact that the Saints are as healthy as can be.
