Baltimore at New York (09/13/2010)

This could be a defensive battle for sure !  Line down to Ravens +1 !  Everything is pointing to the Ravens and Under 36.5 ...... 

 But and there is always a butt, Jets @ home with a little something to prove, a few turnovers and some special teams play and the Yets just might cover ???

Been tossing this game around since the line came out and am still not 100% sure what to believe might happen. I do like the imput regarding the field made by Milkmoney67 above my post here. The new field could play some role since both teams have yet to play a real game on it. On one hand I do find it hard to believe that this game could be as high scoring as the CAR/NYG game was but anything is possible.

The way I am seeing it is that Balt's "O" is stronger than thier "D" is now... and the opposite is true of the Jets. Thier "D" is much stronger than what little "O" they do possess. This means that the main story of the game will be the Ravens "O" vs the Jets "D". How many points can the Ravens score vs how many points will the Jets defense allow.

So... I see the Ravens offense vs the Jets defense as a push situation. Now... moving on to the second storyline of this matchup... the Jets offense vs the Ravens defense. I have to give the edge to the Ravens defense here so when all is said and done I expect the Ravens to pull out an ATS and SU win on MNF vs the J-E-T-S.

Mike Greenberg will be sobbing on Tuesday morning as will Mike Golic, tomorrow, who's beloved Notre Dame squad lost at home to Michigan at home on Saturday.

My guesstimate is Baltimore-10 Jets-9

Baltimore (I know, Colts) vs the Jets use to mean something grand... those were the days. I was a little bit of a Colts fan as a kid just because of Johny U.

Weren't all us kids back then. Time sucks sometimes.

I dont think that Marky Mark can get any thing going with this Ravens D, But the same thing goes for Flaco, its gonna be tuff to get it going on the stingy Jets D. 

Im gonna go with the Ravens here I think that with the depth at WR they will be able to move the ball better than the Jets, and getting points is even better.

I have to go with the home team in a MNF opener.  I wonder how desperate the Jets are knowing that they could be the only team losing their first real game in a new home stadium...

WR's favor Baltimore (Revis=out of shape)

This is going to be come down to Rayvens offense vs Jets D, if Flacco can hold onto the ball and not commit any turnovers I like the Rayvens.  Sanchez could have sophmore slump and the Jets offense looked very shaky in preseason.  Hard Knocks showed that they were going full throttle and wanting to put up points. 

Rayvens have veteran leadership that should help against rowdy crowd

Ravens win this one in a shootout!! I'm a firm believer in games meant to be defensive games turning out to be offensive battles. I don't think this one is going to be any different. I really don't see how the Ravens drop this one to the Jets. The worst thing the Jets could have done is to fire up the Ravens team any more than they already are.

Ravens & Over (Larger than last night)

You'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now with the Cowboys! I knew better than to rely on this coaching staff! I preached it last year and it proves true again this year... The Cowboys have no dicipline and it starts with the coach!!!
