This seems to be one of the easier games to cap this year. I think you take the points here no matter who is getting em.  Too much similarity here all the way down to coaches.  I figure the Ravens will take away the edges and force the Niners to pass.

Same with Balty, Rice will struggle forcing Flacco to air it out.  Both sides get theirs.  Field goal probably decides it, Will be interesting if it comes down to Akers. . .

Since there's no pro bowl thread  I'm placing my "Coin Flip Degenerate Gambler's Special"

(I actually flipped a coin, and here's what I came up with)

NFC +1 and under 80.5

pays +235

no M/L option, I had to take the +1 - - otherwise I think the payout would have been better, but oh well.....

let's see if I have a little extra something for the Superbowl.....

Just put a spy on CK to knock him down on every play whether he has the ball or not. 49ers should have lost that Falcons game if the Falcons had lived up to their hype.

If CK does not run for a few 50 yards TDs, he dead in the water. When he finds out that it's hard to run he's going to start forcing passes. If the Ravens can hold down Manning and Brady on their home fields they can hold CK on a away field.

also just saw Peyton and Roger Goodell saying no "2 hand touch" tackles or the game gets permanently cancelled....

Under looks pretty good for that reason alone

if balt. wins this game the nfl is officially fixed.  No way flucco ever wins a superbowl.  S.F too tough, played there this year. advantage all around goes to SF.  Kap too dynamic.  Balt been playing  qbs that cant move yea they are excellent passers but cant run well, but dont give them that extra weapon in running and the guy can throw too pretty damn good  .  Niners 31-17

Baltimore is one poor deep prevent "hail mary" blown coverage heave to Jacoby Jones from even being in the AFC championship game in the first place. Yes, I respect Ray Lewis and the Ravens run this year. And i'll give credit when it is do, but Baltimores' washed up old timer defense, although decent, is still suspect vs. a multi dimensional offense that compliments a versatile QB who avoids the rush, gains positive yardage on the run, and just flat out shows up big in pivotal games. Only a few NFL starts, yes i know,  but this kid thrives for these moments. He tossed 4 tds in Foxborough as well and all this hype about Baltimore beating Brady, well so did the Niners. Niners explosive defense will chew up Flacco and force a few huge  late  3rd qtr turnovers. 

Public is leaning Ravens which justifies my pick even more. i'm sticking with Vegas and that late money/mid to late week "sharps" in this one.

Also, Ravens playing indoors on turf isn't the same team. Yet they only played a semi-indoor game at Houston/Reliant Stadium this year and got thumped 42-13. SF played in New Orleans once this season and looked good at the Superdome. 

Niners in a squeaker on the spread!

It is my observation over 20 some years that the team that public favored before the game day usuaully covered the spread.

The reason is because the big money usuaully came in 10 to 15minutes before the kick off time.

Yeah, that IS wrong.  I wanted to take SF so I allow the non-regular betting public move the line down to 3', and I actually got 3 in one spot.  But if you want SF, take them now because come Saturday it will start to move back up, maybe up to 4'.
