This is the overreaction game of the century.  Now, because of one blowout loss and the injury to Holmes, who's not even that good in the first place, this spread has moved up to -9.  This should be -6 line.   The Jets have to feel disrespected. The media is berating them, while everyone assumes that their season is over. Well, they're still tied for first place in the division. They're a veteran team that will be playing for pride on a national stage. 

  Texans are 1-3 against the spread on Monday Night Football.  . This game means absolutely nothing for the Texans. They're so far ahead of everyone in their division that they can afford a loss or two. After battling an AFC South foe (Jaguars), a former arch nemesis in Peyton Manning and another divisional opponent (Titans), Houston can finally take a break, especially with the Packers and Ravens (playoff revenge) coming up. 
  Home underdogs on standard rest coming off a loss as a home underdog are 39-20 against the spread.   Underdogs that just suffered a defeat of more than 28 points are 59-31 against the spread since 2002  Teams that were shut out at home the previous week are 21-10 against the spread since 2001.

Houston is playing hard with streak W4 in their spread. I will bet on Jets. Every game is a big deal for sportsbook. Just look....what happened yesterday with Pittsburgh's spread, the Eagles in 4 weeks had not won a spread. Now it's up to Houston, must lose one spread...in this game everything is possible! Ask to Packers, what da f&*^ yesterday? Come on! Versus the Colts and Andrew Luck....every game is a fiction movie?

...this is going to be ugly.

Home dogs are always a good bet, but the Jets have been god awful. If anything Tim Te-blow will get more playing time, and the offense will struggle even more so. Tough call... I'm leaning towards the points but I think I'll shoot for the over 40 in a emotion packed turnover filled Monday night game. 

This is one of those situations where you really have to throw some past trends out the window. Sure, the Texans are 1-4 in past monday night games, but each year they've gotten better. Last year was their first year in the playoffs. This year they've gone 4-0 for the first time in Team history (which albeit is not as long as most other teams). You can say this one isn't that important, since they're already dominating the division, and they've got the Packers and Ravens coming up. But the other thing you have to consider is team pride. The Texans have the top rated defense, one of the top running backs and one of the top wide receivers, not to mention a multi-pro bowl QB and numerous other phenomenal players. They're not going to be satisfied with just getting a 4-0 start for the first time. They're going to play hard every game and try to keep that streak alive as long as possible. Will they repeat the Packers performance of nearly achieving a perfect season? Probably not. But I definitely do not see the Jets as the team to beat the streak, certainly not the way they're playing so far this year. The Saints bounced back and finally won a game and broke their bad streak, but they've also got the talent to do so. The talent aspect on the Jets is only spiraling downwards.

Personally, I'm going to keep riding the Texans until they don't cover. In past years the over was always a choice option in a Texans game, but with the way their defense has been shutting teams down this season, that's become a tricky call. I wouldn't be surprised to see a repeat of what the Niners did to them last week. GLTA

Going with the Jets in this one.. Even without Revis, they still have a decent D.. Sanchez is playing for his job, so I expect him to show up in this one.. Best of luck guys

Wouldnt be surprised to see HOU win this game by 7 or less. I'll prob sit on the sidelines. If I was to play it I'd buy it down to 7 at least.

Wow really for the ones on jets bounce back blah blah blah Sanchez job in trouble no way they lose or they cover blah blah blah!!! Well why not heavely consider that they will lose and not cover !!! That maybe it is Tebow time and its meant to be!!! That the jets will lose bad again and a new start will begin or be attempted to get started!!! Come in folks seriously!!! Sanchez stinks again horribly after the first half and jets go down!!! Sanchez gets benched and they try Tebow!!!

Vegas wants you to take Houston in this spot. Houston never covers against the Jets and dont think for one second jus bc the jets r banged up that they gonna take a beating here. They say history repeats itself and i see that happening here tonite. Dont be shocked if the jets straight up win this game. Look at Indy and GB yesterday who woulda thought that.. but if you look at the history of the two teams you would kno that Indy always gives Gb trouble and they won w a rookie qb at that. So pound Houston if u want and get tricked up and its Monday nite which is the last nite to bet for the week. I smell a robbery in progress.. LOL! Jets+9 it is.... Ur all welcome!

You give Sanchez a pocket and he might have a decent change at taking the game over....BUT he will have no pocket.  He will be rushed on every play with a couple sacks and some lost fumbles.  ALSO, when Sanchez starts losing...he gets worse.  Sanchez is good when his team is up 10-0 on a team, but when he starts getting beat he lays an egg.  Texans get ahead early and don't let up.  IMO.

Usually I would have to go with the trends, but I dont get how the Jets are going to score or stop the Texans O?

If someone could give me some good facts on how they are going to accomplish this I will be more than happy to listen...all I've read about is trends and gut feelings.
