Can anyone tell me why it is a small spread other than they want money on both sides to off set the wins and losses. 3 pt fishy line   still on the hoe dogs here

That is always how the line is generated.  Until you grasp that concept, I suggest staying away from the betting window.  As for the game, Schaub and the offense has only gotten better.  And the D has an edge with a home opener against a division rival.  27-17 Houston

Indi is 9-1 against the Texans homefield or not. Check out the injured list also and it isn't to hard to make a decision who will win. The Texans do nopt lose by a bunch but a loss is a loss. They have been losing by a minimum of 3 points and the line is at +2.5 so I am a firm believer that Indi -2.5 is definitely the call. This spread is saying that this is almost an even game if it was in neutral grounds.

Manning and co. will not lose to Houston on opening day or it could be a long year if they do lose straight up. Indy  to win and cover by 5.

if this was not the opener for indi then i would have taken the texans to cover.. indi was second last year and will continue to make the playoffs this year. manning will not lose his first game.

Colts -1 for me!

-Manning has had a lot of time to prepare for this game
-The colts are the best regular season team SU
-Same team as last year for the colts; with BOB SANDERS!
-Bob sanders is back
-Andre Johnson will get his 10 catches again but won't amount to anything else
-WR core for Colts; Wayne, Garcon, Collie, Gonzalez
and you have Clark as your tight end?

after seeing the colts win so many close ones last year, i think their streak of luck wont be as good this season, starting with this game

its not called luck.. its called manning knows the timing of the game and he can control it.. he will do that once again. colts will win by 4

Got the Colts -1.  They freaking own the Texans.  Have Bob Sanders back.  And it's Peyton Manning for crissakes.  When it comes to football, dude is on a different level than us mere mortals.  If I have to entruast my $ to any player in the league for a regular season game, it's him.
