I  hope like hell, they won't being chanting CRUZZZZ!   Yes - great pass defense is not exactly the Niners forte. However, while they  give up the occassional big pass play, most time their aggressive play leads to picks. And we all know how well Manning throws those! Plus Mr. Manning won't have the luxury of sitting back there all day in the pocket. Of course the officials & home crowd will help SF. That's why it's called home field advantage. And statistically ,SF has a rather large one. I think in the end it'll be Manning & Coughlin who do the folding under pressure.  Anyway- good luck- this will be their last game this season!

WR...edge: Big Blue...with Cruz in the slot and Manningham and Nix on the outside, he will demand the double team, and open up single coverage for Nix & Manningham.  Both of which are stellar.  and because Cruz is so dangerous, and will demand the double team , means he is that good

Update: Ginn is either gonna play as a gimp or not play at all. THIS WILL AFFECT FIELD POSITION TREMENDOUSLY.  he averages about 13 yards a return on punts...startign Alex Smith from the 25 or the 40 is a big difference vs Blues D Line.

Alex smith over achieved last week...i dont thik he had over 300 yards all year... and 5 turnovers usually helps.

However, i know the conditions and the track will be rough, but the gmen are built for this weather and rough terrain. 

Also the giants have not allowed more then like 6 saks in the last 4-5 games, its something really close to that.

Also, 49ers are either missing are playing with a significantly banged up TE and i think its a linebacker

This is just blatantly false information....

Frank Gore was injured that game and didn't even start..... Hunter started..... Frank Gore got 6 carries..... SF game play was to throw 10 times on the first drive.....

how can you see the Giants shut down Frank Gore when he only had 6 carries, and he was injured, and didn't start?

This was actually brought up on WFAN this afternoon with Mike Francesa (Giant fan and Jets hater btw lol).....  he told the caller that it was rediculous to say Gore got shut down.....

you do make a great point with the WR's..... should be hard to cut for both teams....

but, Giants are the more explosive team and will be hindered more by the slow track.... the muddy field positively plays into the 49ers strenght....

I don't buy the fact that both pass rushes will be neutralized by the wet field.... but Eli will get much more leway than Alex Smith.... 49ers will play close to the vest....

Still wearin' the rag Easy Pics. While it might be true that I make glib comments to summarize my feelings on a game, trust me fool- they are all very researched. Been capping for over 30 years. Some of us have to know what we're doing on the threads.  I could elaborate long stats & other 

( GLIB )  handicapping  methodologies that I use,  but I instead choose to leave that to others, while I post a final play selection. As for the Balt/NE game- The Ravens will cover if they bring their A game, that was in reference to QB Joe Flacco's underperformance (which is well documented with his spat with Ed Reed), as well Off. Coordinator Cam Cameron's ultra conservative play calling which I feel  ?   ( like the rest of the world ) has stifled offensive production. You just gotta realize Mr. Easy Pics- that somewhere out there ,there might actually be someone slightly a little more slick ?  than you pretend to be.
