I'm sure giants fans wouldn't be jumping out of their seats to defend the edge in coaching. I think Harbaugh will be a better coach than NY's coach. He might even already be there. He is a better in game coach. To me it seems as if the Giants are able to run and the D line is dominant, then they win. If not, they lose. That tells me that their coach is not good at making adjustments. Anyone can be considered a good coach with elite talent (look at Tressel and Les Miles)
The special teams edge goes to San Fran. I didn't hear you talk about LB and secondary, both advantages to San Fran.
Yes special teams edge does go to 49ers clearly...IF TED GINN PLAYS, and/or depending on how healthy he is if he plays
You are more then likely right, 49ers do have the edge with secondary and LB, but that doesnt win you championships...the first 4 i listed do:
OLine, DLine, QB, & coaching...and a great rushing attack helps as well
Giants clearly dominant all those categories especially since Eli is playing out of his mind (his best year yet, especially with all the injuries he has had to deal with)...Gmen are healthy and clicking on all cylinders right now. Dont over estimate Tom Coughlin; I will admit Harbough has been great so far, BUT its his first year, so time will tell. Coughlin's giants have won like their last 5 or 6 past playoff games on the road, and i think they covered all of them.
Giants road record in general over the past 8+ years is very competive/good...ITS A WINNING RECORD. Sorry i dont know the exact data, but i know its very good comparitively.
Bradshaw didnt play last game vs niners, other guys were banged up or missing on D and O, especially WR. I dont think you can use that last game as a gauge to base your decision. There is still some useful data from their first matchup, but you give me this Giant team in a rematch, with experienced veterans being road underdogs before and experience playing in the playoff on the road...
Both Giants line will control the game, and how long has it been since gore rushed for more then 100?..., it wont matter, bc Manning will lead this team to victory.
