Pittsburgh is 0-2 against the NFC East this year, and Washington is coming off a bye week. But Washington has some key players already ruled out and some key players that are questionable.
I have to say I like the Steelers in this one that loss last week to the giants is leaving a bitter taste in there mouth and they are a very talented football team, with the additon of Willie Parker this week it should be able to take some of the pressure off of Big Ben.

Sun, Nov 2 Moss (hamstring) is optimistic about his chances of playing Monday, the Washington Times reports. "I feel better because I ran [Saturday]," said Moss. "I felt pretty good. I...gained a lot of confidence [in my hamstring] because I didn't know where it was at. The next step is [running some] routes [Sunday]."
Recommendation: That sounds pretty positive, but despite his progress, coach Jim Zorn said Moss' availability Monday will be a game-time decision.
(Rotowire.com)
Sun, Nov 2 Moss was unable to practice again Friday because of a strained hamstring. Moss is now a game-time decision for Monday night's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Advice: Coach Jim Zorn had been optimistic all week that Moss would play, but the receiver's third consecutive day of inactivity tempered expectations. Moss is questionable on the injury report. "Game-time decision, definitely, and it'll be based on how he feels," Zorn said. "I don't want him to go out there and play a couple of plays and go, 'Eh, it doesn't feel very good.'" defenses.

Sat, Nov 1 Ryan O'Halloran, of The Washington Times, reports Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss (hamstring) did some straight ahead running Saturday, Nov. 1. He is optimistic about his chances of playing during Week 9. Head coach Jim Zorn said he remains a game-time decision.

Santana is a game time decision but he most likely will play. How effective he is is another story. Moss (hamstring) is optimistic about his chances of playing Monday, the Washington Times reports. "I feel better because I ran [Saturday]," said Moss. "I felt pretty good. I...gained a lot of confidence [in my hamstring] because I didn't know where it was at. Taylor and Springs are also out for the skins. The Steelers should get some help with the return of Casey Hampton. Woodley is also expected to start for Pittsburgh. A few key injuries for the steelers will be cornerback Bryant McFadden, Safety Ryan Clark and Tackle Marvel Smith. All 3 are out for this game.
Both teams have tons of injuries. I'd say the Redskins have the more serious injuries. Most of the secondary is banged up. The running backs are all hurt (Portis is probable for the game) and Chris Samuels is questionable. If he can't go expect Harrison and Woodley to live in the backfield.
I'll say it first that I'm a homer in this game and I expect the Steelers to win. Their injuries are not as serious as the ones Washington has and Pittsburgh plays as physical as any team in the NFL. I expect to see a lot of hitting and a lot more injuries after this game. But Pittsburgh is getting back Willie Parker and Casey Hampton for this game. That's how they're going to win, by running the ball and stopping the run on the other side of the ball.
Pittsbugh -1 Over 36.5 (You can't bet against the Monday Night over trend just like you can't bet against the Tuesday Night under trend)

After Campbell the Skins have Todd Collins and Colt Brennan. Backing up Portis will be Shaun Alexander and if Santana gets hurt during the game James Thrash will move into his spot. They are really weak right now at running back and receiver if Portis and Moss get hurt. Their receivers right now are Moss, Randle El, Devin Thomas and Thrash. I don't think Malcolm Kelly is playing. They also have 5 people banged up in the secondary including both starting safeties and their 3 top corners.

Good luck Raul. My thinking after doing this for a few years is that teasers are used for two reasons: 1) to get rich quick, and 2) because you don't have real confidence in your picks. Neither is a good reason. Maybe try making fewer picks and just stick with the ones you really feel good about. Just $.02. I like the Pitt side but even over 30 is not a given.
I'm leaning hard on Pittsburgh here +2. Still thinking. I expect Pitt to rebound after a tough loss, the Skins are pretty banged up, and more importantly I feel the Steelers have fared better of late.
Last 4 games: Pitt lost to NYG (#1 in NFC), whooped Cin, beat Jax and Balt. Wash beat winless Det, Clev by 3, lost to STL, but did have one nice win over Philly.

Average play Taking Steelers to win by 13 with gut feel that Portis will not get more than 80 yards and Campbell to get forced into costly mistakes.Though the man looks sharp and improved from last year, believe he's due to toss a pair of interceptions / fumble and quite possibly get knocked out as he's forced out of the pocket against a very aggressive and intimidating Defense.Washington's D is far from intimidating n' see Pitt putting home team in a quick hole.PITT 26 WASH 13 .PITT ML PARLAY N' OBAMA to win !

i have been checking this site out now for 2 years. down about 20k over that time period. there have been a couple times i was tempted to chime in but i always thought better of it. i can't take it any longer and i think what i am about to say is on many of your minds. i come to this site for information. usually, i come up empty, but how can i rely on information offered by someone who cannot spell. i am not talking about typos either. there are many examples of this in this current monday night string. please, put the tv on mute ( i am not even telling you to shut it off) and read a book, any book will do. you will thank me for this advice later on in life when you are applying for a job. stop embarrising yourself. you know who you are.
with regard to tonight's game. i thought Pitt looked bad against NYG last week. i thought that was b/c they are not the Pitt of old. However, i know think they looked so apathetic b/c NYG is simply that good. Wash is a mystery to me. you've got to like a team that can move the ball on the ground the way they do. i don't have a lot of confidence in their qb and i think his play will e key tonight b/c i think the redskins aforementioned run game will be stifled by Pitt's great run d.
i am going with wash b/c of home field adv. think the under is the play as well.

Wow...Washington Back up QBs are great weapons!! Don't you just mentioned Randle El ( Former of Pittsburgh WR & Special Team Ex Factor). What's a trader!...".K. Warner beat up his former team yesterday (RAMS) badly". Now Randle EL will be do the same thing to his former team Steelers???????????????. Anyway...Great information!

Big Ben will stay in the upright position and pick apart the Redskins Defense. The Steelers Defense will hold clinton portis to under 80 yds rushing force cambell to throw spelling trouble for redskins. imo Steelers 24 Redskins 10

i just noticed a spelling error. i meant "now" instead of "know" and "e" should be "be"
i should not have mentioned my mistake. with the collection of stooges looking at this site most of you wouldn't have caught it anyway.
Raulbloodworth. i like your style. showing your betting slip like that. 350.00 is a good size wager (at least for me) on a monday nighter. i bet most of the prognosticators (bettors) who frequent this site feel the same way and i would venture to guess many of the "regulars" live in their momma's basement.
would like to confirm something from your earlier post, you went 6 out of 6 right, not 6 and 6. if it was the later, i really hope you tease works.
what do you bozos think about middleing games? any of you got the sack to try it. i know my man raulblodworth does.
another thing. artie-lange - i hope you are who you say you are but i think not based on the real artie lange's aversion to computers. looking forward to "too fat to fish"
goodbye for now.
