Bears -10.   Seattle in for a "letdown" after the big win last week.  If you are betting the bears, bet it early...if you want the seahawks...wait until game day as the line will go to 10.5 or 11.  It's pointless to buy a half with seattle this early in the week because the public tends to bet favorites and the lines tend to creep up.  Seattle beating the Saints was a bit shocking....keep in mind, that was in seattle, now they go on the road to visit a rested bears team.  Not only do the bears want to win, but i'm thinking several members of its coaching staff have something to prove.  Lovie Smith was on the hot seat at the start of the year...Mike Martz has done nothing since leaving st louis....and....im sure mike tice also wants to "prove himself!"  I don't really recommend teasers...but taking falcons +5 and bears -3 seems almost a "gimmee!!"  Good luck everyone!!

Just for the record - I know I'm pretty much wiping my ass with that $10 moneyline bet (like I thought I'd be doing last week), but you convinced me - I'll make it $20.........

Also, unlike last week, I don't think the Seahawks can win this game outright - but, 10.5 points seems a little too much for the up-and-down inconsistent Bears to be giving.

Does Cutler go 30-35 for 358 yards with three touchdowns and no picks?

or

Does he go 16-40 for 138 yards with 3 picks, a fumble, and gets sacked 5 times?

the game could really go either way. I'll give you the Hester factor, but I'll still take experienced Hasselbeck +10.5 over the streaky Cutler anyday. Good Luck everybody

    Seattle has earned zero close losses, with its smallest defeat 15 points. The SU winner has covered every Seahawk game TY

    Im not attacking you here, but i never understood the logic behind trends like these. Going into this year Cutler was 15-36 ATS. You can use that trend every game that he starts...does that mean week 1 you said he's 15-36, then 15-37 the next week and so on? With that logic you basically said that the Bears wouldn't be a good bet until they cover 22 straight. Guess what he was 23-41 ATS vs the Jets, and believe it or not they still managed to cover. Hypothetically if the Bears were to start rolling and blowing teams out by 30+ the next 17 games they play, will you go against Cutler because he's only 41-42 ATS? Dumbest trend ever IMO.

          This game has a lot of people thinking oh boy, 10 points is a lot for Chicago to cover. And that the Seahawks have the "Big Mo" in their favor as winner of the last 2 games.  Vegas is just gift wrapping this one for you, by saying please play Seattle. The Seahags, on the road, are a completely different animal, as Break a Bookie, points out.  Realistically, this is the easiest game of the weekend, to cap!  Chicago also owns a huge homefield advantage, in what will prove to be a Bear blowout!

    Bears play a different , attack style defense. New Orleans ' defense, nto even close. Alos, Briggs missed first game and Cutler was concussed. He still needs to make plays. Hester alone may give them super field postion all day. Cutler still needs to care of the ball and make 4 or 5 plays, otherwise, Bears defense in the red zone...........too much for Hawks.

    Breakabookie has excelllent point with Hester, Chicago should get a lot of scoring chances due to their defense Seattle lucky to put up 10 points.

    While that may be true....they're going in different directions since Oct, it doesn't give me any confidence to see Cutler's spread numbers, 1-8 ATS in his career as a favorite of 6 pts or more (0-3 as -9 or more).  The Bears haven't been over 6.5 pts. all year long and now we're supposed to believe they'll cover double digits?  I just like the team playing the 'me against the world' card again.  Anyway, GL

    Not sure if its the dumbest trend ever rock but youre not totally wrong either with trends, sometimes they are just pointless info... although the one with the monday night blowout trend was pretty hot this year. It just shows that their is a high probability that Cutler could mess up bad and has in the past sometimes. Sort of like the odds of delhomme throwing a pick. Good luck!

    There you have it. Cutler is currently with a whole new makeup of leadership. If you remember, Mike Martz, who is now Cutler's OC, was highly instrumental in the offensive juggernaut known as "The Greatest Show On Turf" in St. Louis. Having Lovie bring in Martz was an act of genius on his part. Martz is exaclty where he needs to be - in a coordinator role and not a head coach and he has an exceptional talent in Cutler. Martz has done a fantsatic job this year leading Cutler and restricting him from doing the stupid things he did in Denver. Their record of 11-5 reflects that.

    It's going to be cold and windy at Soldier Field this weekend. Hasselbeck isn't going to be able to throw up those floating ducks like he did last weekend. He'll also get a look at Julius Peppers up close and personal.

    This game is going to get ugly, just like last weeks Baltimore/KC game.

    I predict that same score...

    I'm with my boy, the Dr. on this one. Nobody (myself included) gave Seattle a chance as 10 point dogs to the Saints. No way the Bears have the "scoring threat" like NO did.

    I'll take the points... and I like UNDER 41 even more.
