Just when Brett Favre thought his life couldn't get any worse he now in all likelihood will have to watch Aaron Rodgers play in the SB. Just think he could have taken that 20 mil GB offered him to just walk away and at least the Jen Sterger problem wouldn't exist. Anyway in this one win or lose I don't think I could ever trust Jay Cutler to cover a DD spread unless he had the 85 Bears defense then maybe... Heres to hoping the 'All teams start anew season once the playoffs start' cliche works and if so Seattle is 1-0 vs. 0-0  -- Seahawks +10 & UNDER 42.5

Last time these teams met, Chicago Bears squad was miles away from how they are performing on both sides of the ball as of late. Does anyone disagree? Cutler has come into his own, very similar to Aaron Rogers. As a matter of fact, the entire squad has achieved greatness, especially Devin Hester the X Factor. In cold weather, it is known that balls lose inflation once brought out of tempered room and distance in KO's are generally 10-15 yards shorter and a harder time to control direction. Devin Hester will have a TD off of a KO or PR to extend his record for most TD's in one season in that category. Another X Factor is DE Chris Harris. This guy runs a 4.3 40 and leads the Bear's in INT's. He has 3 in the last 3 games and 3 at home along with 50 solo TKL's. He is a play maker surely. Now we move onto the bears "D" line with Peppers and Urlacher leading that group of ball hawks. With the extra week of preparation, these guys will find ways to get pressure on M. Haselbeck (QB) and record a few sacks. They will also keep M. Lynch in check. I do like the fact that M. Hasselbeck has experience but it is proven that is not always the key to victory.

One BIG thing stands out in this game for me is that Bears Defense is by far superior to the Saints performance last week. Bears has also played the tougher schedule and their stats on offense does not do them justice for they are late bloomers. clearly their performance is doubled in the second half of the season. REMEMBER, THIS IS STILL THE SEAHAWKS. They give up 30 + points on the road especially on grass field.

BREAK DOWN

*Devin Hester on KO's & PR's (cold weather+flatter ball=shorter distance)
*Cutler vs Hasselbeck - Cutler is healthier and not nursing a sore hip like M.H.
* Cutler stronger arm than most QB's against secondary of C-Hawks who gave up 440+ yards last week.
*Bears coming off BYE
* Better "D" than all of Seattles opponents
*12th man factor of Soldier Field
etc..etc..etc..

For the Seahawks- Momentum

I see the bears pull away from the first quarter and not let up. M. Haselbeck is not a 100% and may leave the game after a few hits to the hip. WhiteHurst is no back up QB and that is that. I see the Bears also possibly covering the over by themselves. If they can score 38 against the Jets Defense, then I don't see why not.

Bears -6.5 @ the half and over 42

Bears  35-40

Seahawks 14 - 20

Let me get this straight...Seattle loses 7 of their last 9...then beats a pathetic Rams team to sneak into the playoffs...pulls a stunner on a mediocre Saints team that was looking ahead...and now we are saying they are peaking at the right time!!!!!   Please...this team sucks.  With Atl goin down last night Chicago wont have to leave home til they head to Dallas.   No stunners here...Chicago by 28!!!!!!

bears were not far from home the last time these 2 teams met, the bears lost to the hawks in soldier field this season...bears r playing better though and i do think the bears will cover

I have the Seahawks +10, and in a teaser at +16.  They cover but Chicago likely wins, setting up a Black-and-Blue Championship Game.   10 pts is simply too much for a game like this.  Regardless of whether fans or bettors think SEA can compete, their team surely knows they can.  And that will carry them to at least cover, and would not rule out an upset.  But so far don't have the to take them in a moneyline bet.

I've got it a little closer at 38-17, but I agree.

People were tripping over each other to lay 10 on the road with the Saints, now all of a sudden +10 looks good on the road? Stop.

Packer homer. F the Bears. Taking the Seachickens + 17.0 and the over 35.0 on a 7 point tease. Seattle will lose this game, but not by more than 17. Enjoy Bears fans, this will be the last win of the season. The Pack to meet the Patriots in the bowl.

A cold 20 deg Soldier field spells doom and gloom for the "BIRDS" who are late for migration. Hester should shorten the field for the Bears under the fridgid temps.

everyone on here is saying seattle. seems about 80%.. 

as being part of a sample project in this forum the money will go to the bears and they will end up covering. 

everything says seattle will win. the first time they played. they beat the saints. and the line is the same as the saints. 

bears will take over and rout (huff) and roll (puff) and blow seattle down.  dont be a fool. take the bears.

this is anyone's game in my opinion.  i'm sure Chicago is GRIPPING right now after realizing they did a bad thing by letting their nemesis into the playoffs.  Hasselback has won games in the playoffs.  Cutler has not.  Hawks appear to have the better running game with 2 capable backs in Forsett / Lynch.  Everything else is a virtual tie in talent.  I'll take the Hawks who are in a groove as opposed to the Bears who have been sittin' around.  See what sittin' around does overrated teams like the Falcons?  Yeah, that's right, you all saw the Falcons offense only able to score 2 TDs last nite.

With Green Bay winning last nite it just makes Seattle the play. The Bears will be thinking of Next Week and that spells trouble for the boys from chicago........Who wouldve thought that Pete C's boys would host a NFC Championship game???? Very possible

Seabirds 2-6 on the road, all loses by doube digits.   Birds not at their nest, BEARS cover easily.

Well I went ahead and put 5.5 units on the bears to win 5.0 at -10....

Then just for the hell of it i threw a unit on the Seattle ML so that if they somehow pull a Cinderella win out of their ass I get 3.5 back anyways.  So let's hope for one of those two options! hahah

But REALLY folks this is the Seattle team that went 7-9 in the regular season and ranked first in a division with the Rams and the Niners. OK??  Chicago -10 should be the fade all day.
