Damn does this mean other Covers contest and such are going away also? I hope not it's all I have to keep me interested in the sport anymore. Other than golf you can pretty much have the rest of it.  No sir they sure aint, but if you lived in New Jersey back in the late 60's and early 70's. 95% of bars were bookie joints and most had a card room in the back room. Belive me there was a lot of shady shit going on. 

First thing they need to do is a better job of catching cheaters. I'm 63 have been going to track since my dad would take me to freehold, monmouth park yonkers, etc. he woluld hang at bars after and got to meet trainers jockys owners and they would give him tips for the next day and sure enough it would hit. I was like 10 and would ask how can you pick so many winners he would say its not what you know its who when it came to horse racing.
