I won't bet on the race this year. I like fierceness. He is the horse to beat. He is the only horse in the field with a triple digit beyer. 110 at the flordia derby. That being said the horse with the highest speed figure in a prep race has only won it 5 out of the last 23 years. 21% I'd say hes got about a 28% chance of winning. He looks like he is a lot faster than the other horses. Usually a horse has to run a triple digit beyer number to win the race. I like catching freedom and stronghold. Stronghold is a long shot hes bred to sprint. 30-1 I read he is a closer. The other horse I'd throw in there a lot of people like 3rd choice catching freedom. |

The horse has almost no chance of winning. Lets start with this no horse that has won the risen star stakes has ever won the Kentucky derby. Winner of the risen star sierre leone. Bluegrass, no horse that has won the bluegrass stakes has won the Kentucky derby since 1991. 35 years. Winner of the bluegrass Sierea Leone. Kentucky derby qualifying points. No horse that has had the most qualifying points for the Kentucky derby has won the race since 2014. 10 years. Horse with the most qualifying points Sierra Leone. Closing figures from the last race. 38.02. closing figure over 38. Best horse has 36.2. Fierceness is only the 5th best finisher in the race. A closing figure over 38 more than 2 sec off the top 2 horses. Only thing it has going for him is the large heart trait. That just means its likely to win a stakes race. Out of a 20 horse field why is it the second betting favorite? |

I've seen these threads before on here. There has been links to historical or interesting auction stuff. I found this. A Essntial qlity breeders cup juvenile horseshoe. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. It was a shoe worn during his breeders cup juvinile win. I wonder what something like this will sell for. I did some reading, a normal racing horse shoe costs 130 dollars. A shoe for a normal horse sells for 10 to 15 dollars. There was a auction last year where a secretariet, race worn shoe sold for a new record of 80,904 dollars. It has not recieved a bid for 2 days. I don't know what it opened at but it has 6 bids and is at 152.50. I wonder what something like that is worth? A rough estimate of 8950? |

If you ask me what they should change about horse betting, sports betting.
in General Discussion If i go out and bet essential quality at 2 to 5 to show like the last race a 2 dollar bet pays 10 cents. Every dollar i bet on eq pays 5 cents. If i go out and take alabama -10 against nebraska 2 dollars pays 3.82. How come the exotics in horse racing don't pay what they do in other sports? Every dollar i bet in nba or nfl or college football pays .91 cents a dollar and the exotics in horse racing only pay 5 cents a dollar? Why would i go out and bet 10 dollars on eq when it will pay 50 cents, and if i go out and bet on 10 dollars on alabama to beat nebraska it will pay 19.10? How come exotic bets in horse racing don't pay what they do in the nba or nfl or college football? Either it should get changed so every bet in horse racing pays at least 91 cents a dollar back or if i bet 110 dollars on alabama -10 to beat nebraska then you should only win $1.10 cents instead of a 100 dollars. No one in there right mind would bet on horse racing when a exotic bet in the nfl or nba or college football pays 10 times as much. All sports should pay the same amount of money instead of burying horse racing. |

Unfortunate but this post is probably the real deal best post since sarahjphillips junk. Iv'e seen people try to do this at card games and they almost always lose. Actually everyone i've seen try to do it have lost. They don't bet it all at once on one thing like you but i get the jist of the story. Only thing i don't believe is this is your last bet. Ten grand on a 11.5 point underdog you probably have about a 13% chance of winning and 87% chance of losing.

Atlanta had a 28-12 lead starting the fourth quarter. Ne had gotten a td missed the extra pt then they made a field goal. Get this atlanta with a 16 pt lead starting the fourth ran the ball 5 times the entire quarter does that make any sense? You would expect them to run the ball three times the first series. 16 point lead starting the fourth and you run the ball 5 times entire quarter that makes no sense.

Does anyone really believe you can give up 31 straight points in the supber bowl?
in NFL Betting
Atlanta gave up 31 points straight to ne with 3 mins in the third quarter through the rest of the game. A lot of people are blaming matt ryan for the loss but atlantas defense has to be to blame. Talk about giving away a game. Give up 31 straight points in the super bowl thats unreal.

Would of been happy to see Roman or Orton win it. Jericho would of been allright but he didn't have much of a chance at number 2. A lot of people thought Goldberg would win it i don't know why. Still remember the worst wrestlemania match of all time Goldberg and Lesnar. The crowd was good though.
Don't like the royal rumble match. 8 unannounced wrestlers and all of them were on the roster. Which got a bs chant from the crowd. It was reported Hogan was at an airport in texas earlier in the day thought maybe he would appear. Only two big names that showed up were shawn who lives in texas and mark henry came back and he was born in texas. Only paper view worth ordering is wrestlemania.

Whats going on with wall? He said Mexico will pay for the wall. Then he said we will pay for the wall and mexico will reimburse us. Mexico president says they will pay for no wall and cancels his meeting with Trump.
Iowa sub senate committee passed that bill to defund planned parent hood and will probably eventually get passed the thing where women who have emotional or psychological issues from an abortion can sue the doctor. He has passed bill to essentially raise taxes on middle class homeowners he signed something. He has repealed parts of Obama healthcare and clean energy stuff. He signed a bill to get rid of the trans pacific partnership which John Mccain and Joni Ernst both spoke out against. He has had three suits filed against him since he became president. He has cleared the way for Keystone pipeline and Dakota oil stuff. Reversed a lot of Obama clean energy policies. The house voted to not allow any funding to abortions from taxpayer money. He also signed something that the united states would not give any funding to oversea companies that provided abortions to woman or supported abortion. Its called a ban on foreign aid to groups that give or provide abortion counseling. It is in reference to international non government organizations that provide abortions or give funding to abortion groups. He has done a lot already we will see what happens.

Now they've changed the story anyway. Must be another fake news article because abc and the other outlets reported he was under the influence. Now they say he wasn't. But they havn't confirmed that because they are still doing toxicology reports. It will have a factor in insurance payouts. Now they report he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. I'll post that before they decide to change that to. https://www.si.com/mlb/2017/01/23/yordano-ventura-death-car-accident-details-seat-belt-no-alcohol

He is projected to become the worlds first trillionaire. His net worth was 75 billion at end of 2016. That is with all the money he already gives away. With his average return lately of 11% a year assuming he doesn't invest anymore money than what he does or cut his giving it will take him another 25 years. That would put him at 86.
To talk about climate change for a minute. This is Iowas second warmest winter so far on record. It was 55 here on christmas day. We have had more freezing rain type stuff than any measurable snow. It looks like it will be a little cooler in February but mostly in the 20s. According to a report from nasa in 2016 climate warming trends continued to break records. Each of the first six months of 2016 set a record as the warmest respected month globally in the modern temperature record which dates back to the year 1880. The six month period from jan. to jun. was the warmest planets half year on record and average temperature of 2.4 degrees f warmer than the 19th century. What would be amazing about him making it is he has always used no to little debt. He has always been against debt. He isn't like some of the people you see out there who owe the big banks billions of dollars. Here is another interesting fact for you on average he makes 250 dollars every second. That would be 15,000 dollars a minute.

What a surprise alcohol was a contributing factor. Like i said before how do people see any credibility in these sports? Do you think somone like Felix Hernandez who is trying to win a championship getting ready in the offseason by driving a boat around under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. Are you going to help your team win a championship by going back to your home country getting drunk and driving a car? Why do teams pay these guys with no common sense millions of dollars a year? If they really wanted to win a championship they would be training in the offseason not doing drugs, drinking, and getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. I don't consider that working hard or earning your money.

Going to be interesting 90 people arrested in dc earlier. I tell you they are already doing a lot with abortion stuff. Indiana and here in Iowa. Governor put forward a bill to de fund planned parent hood and they are talking about letting a lady who has a abortion and experiences emotional distress sue the doctor that did it.

Can anyone remember back as far as July at the republican convention when he said "I won't endorse anyone that bashes my family especially my wife Heidi." Here it is January and he hasn't only endorsed Trump he is part of his administration. He sold his christian conservative values right down the toilet. Donald Trump responded even if he did endorse me i wouldn't accept his endorsement.
This isn't the only time his ethics have been brought into play. There was questions about his funding way in his 2012 senate campaign. I found an article date from october of 2013 talking about this. Texas republican senator Ted Cruz potentially violated ethics rules by failing to publically disclose his financial relationship with a Carribean based holding company during his 2012 senate campaign documents show. The relationship was initiated with a $6,000 dollar investment Cruz made more than a decade ago in a fund ran by a college roomate. When Cruz reported the relationship in 2013 he failed to comply with senate rules requiring full identification of the holding company and its location triggering an inquiry by senate select committee on ethics staff and a second amendmed disclosure. Cruz later said he was working to disclose the information. Then he violated federal law when he didn't report a 1 million dollar loan he had with Goldman Sachs. 52 USC 30104 says that The committee of a federal canidate must disclose on and report loans they have filed or guaranteed. He also said he would reamend paper work or do what was needed to fix that. Pretty much every campaign he has ever run has come under scrutiny for violating some kind of ethical code. On april 25 2016 texas democrats filed a complaint against Cruz with the federal election commision for violating campaign fundraising laws. Keet Lewis who was Cruz for president national co chair made a statement if you have hit your max we have tables over there that are unlimited. The campaign disregarded limits set by law. It was in regards to a Cruz Stand for Truth Pac. On january 31st 2016 Paul Pate who is also a republican in Iowa came out and blasted Cruz over campaign mailers he sent out. Cruz said he wouldn't make an apology for using every tool possible to try to get people out to vote. Pate came out and said "Today i was shown a piece of literature from the Cuz for president campaign that misrepresents the role of my office, and worse, misrepresents Iowa election laws." It isn't possible to say you won't endorse someone then join the administration and say you havn't violated anything ethically. |
