Geno Smith has been unbelievable this season. He leads the league in passing yards, attempts AND completions. He’s also #8 in the league for completion percentage (68.9%). That level of accuracy at that volume is insane.

He's been consistent too. Since Week 2, he’s averaged 31 completions per game, and he’s faced the Lions and 49ers in that time. He now gets a great matchup in a road game against the Falcons… Atlanta ranks fourth worst in pass rush pressure rate (28.4%) and last in sacks (5). They also play zone-heavy pass defense, protecting against big plays but giving up easy receptions - allowing 6th most in the league. Geno completes around 75% of his throws against zone compared to 59% against man.

3 QBs have covered this line in the last 4 weeks against Atlanta. Each of those QBs had 35+ attempts… Geno Smith averages 41.8 attempts per game this year, with 33 and 38 completions in roadgames this year.

The Falcons don’t have the best run defense but Seattle is a true passing offense, and Geno has an array of targets on this team: Metcalf, Smith-Njigba, Lockett, Fant, Walker. The Seahawks will likely rely on the pass in a competitive game in which the points total is set at 51. A high scoring game is great for this pick.
