I disagree with Mafioso.

True, you don't spend a lot of time in your room, but when you are there, you want it to be nice too.  My wife is picky, but I wouldn't want to stay in a dump on my vacation!  He mentioned Luxor, Excaliber and Monte Carlo...these are ALL dumps and I would never stay at any of those.  I will spend a little more money and stay at a nicer/cleaner place.

Flamingo was ok.  Harrrahs was ok.  Mirage is great!  NYNY was ok.  Ballys was a little dirty.  We're staying at Tropicana in September.  Will let you know about it...

Our favorite is the Mirage.  The location is one of the best on the strip and the rooms have been remodeled.  Nice, modern stuff too.  Plus we feel safer there than somewhere like Harrahs or Flamingo.  There is a daily resort fee, but you also have that at Mandalay Bay.  But for the money and the location, you cannot beat the Mirage...

Plus the pool area is real nice!!!

Book a vacation package at Southwest.com.  I only book there.  They have the best rates and it's nonstop from here.  Beware of all MGM properties.  They all charge a daily resort fee and you cannot get out of it.  I would suggest a Harrahs property.  They have NO resort fees.  Planet Hollywood, Caesars of course.  I'm actually staying at Flamingo this month with an upgraded room.  Harrahs really isn't that bad either. THey have clean rooms and the casino is pretty good.

Harrahs, maybe Flamingo too.

T.I. also seems like a "small room" to fish in.

If you're looking for confidence, I would stick to 6.5 or lower for an UNDER.
