There is a lot of money going on Arizona -7 and the line should have gone up by now but like shark_attack said the books want more zona money. If this line goes to 10 I think ill take UTSA.

Week 1 was a dogs week where a lot of them not only covered double digit spreads but won outright. This is going to be a freak year with uncertainty in the top 10 and a lot of dogs coming up. |

Bad start to week 1. As a new capper I thought teasers would help me but they backfired on me in week 1. I was so sure about south carolina just winning by at least a few points AT HOME but did quite the opposite. SC, wazzu, and vandy all made me which I would have skipped out on week 1 because most information is due to speculation and hype. Perhaps I should do away with teasers until teams have proved themselves. |

Well I shouldn't say NW spread because I don't have them at the spread I have them teased. We shall see brother it's hard to say pre-week 1. |

That's why I have Houston in a ML parlay and in a teaser(+0.5) :) |

It's hard to have too big of a confidence level since it's week 1 but here are mine..
Northwestern spread vs Cal: NW beat Cal at Cal last year and now they're playing at home..and even if Cal improves this year they still stink. Confidence level: 4* Houston U spread vs UTSA: Houston looks to be good on offense and defense and killed UTSA on the road last year and now they have them at home. Confidence level: 4* |

For two bucks it's worth it! Unfortunately in my short experience one or two teams always screw it up! Good luck to you.

Thank you everybody so much for taking the time to write all of that useful information out!
I think I like the idea of my strategy including some power ratings as well as just having a feel for the game based on my own opinions as well as situational type stuff as some of you laid out. I've always been an NFL guy so I'm newer to college football. Until I am much more familiar with college football(which will take much time of watching games) I will have to rely on my own gut as well as stats to determine which teams I wish to bet on. I will also look into the various insights you guys and many others have on this board to help me determine what matchups I like. Just like anything else in life, it's hard to know what you're doing until you JUST DO IT. |

First of all, I would like to thank everybody that has helped me gain some understanding about sport betting these last few weeks. I appreciate your time and I truly feel at home here when everyone is trying to help each other out.
I want to eventually be able to bet on games based on my own research. I often see some of you guys saying "I currently have X team -5 against Y team" when the actual spread is -3 or whatever. My question is, how do you come up with the value on games? Out of the many college football games played per week, how do you narrow down which ones to wager on? Any help would be much appreciated, and even some recommendations as far as reading material goes on how to develop my own betting strategy would be nice. |

As you said, Leidner is more of a rushing QB so there will be a lot of clock eaten. Last year Minnesota's highest win was by 28 points and throughout the season they weren't very high scores. As long as E. Ill can tag along just a little bit I think there is a good chance they will cover. |
