Can anyone outside of Brazil, France, Germany, Spain or maybe Argentina win this?
Are there any teams currently presenting value that have a chance to pull it off? Here are some teams I like that I feel have an outside chance of getting to the final 4 and offering bettors some hedging opportunities. I would love any insight, suggestions or general contributions to this discussion. (Lines posted are from Pinnacle as of April 14, 2018) England @ 18.07:1 Shouldn't have an issue getting through the group stage, Southgate a solid manager, Kane (if healthy) able to score on anyone and relatively deep. Colombia @ 49.2:1 Easy group, Rodriguez/Falcao/Cuadrado gives them enough star power to hang around, if they win their group likely to face Belgium/England in R16 which isn't overwhelming. Mexico & Switzerland @ 121.5:1 Mexico - Relatively difficult group stage with an almost certain L coming against Germany (if the confed cup was any indicator, though their offense looked potent) and a match against a reasonably talented Sweden side, Loads of WC experience, Hernandez is a quality striker, Vela can contribute, Lozano could be a gamebreaker. Defense undoubtedly an area of concern. Switzerland - Easier group stage than Mexico and I give them a strong chance of getting out of it (don't like Serbia much). Impressive showing at the past world cup and that experience should carry over into this one. Xhaka, Seferovic and Shaqiri are very solid players who could make some noise

I don't think 600 would make sense from a math perspective because if tech were to win that game I'm now invested 615$ with the potential for 1160 but still needing them to win as a dog against Duke or Kansas and then beat the winner of Loyola/Mich. Just to cover my 615 lost Invested I would have to lay a huge ml on their Duke/Kansas game. That approach is too risky for my liking

Yeah I had got them at +7500, 6700 and 5000 earlier in the season. I don't care so much about getting the 15 back as it's not too big of a deal but just wondering if there is an optimum way to maximize profits at this stage or its worth waiting out to see if they make F4

I have about 15$ on Texas Tech to win the tourney paying out 1160$ roughly, is it worth me hedging out tomorrow with Nova ml or would it only make sense to hedge if Tech were able to get past Nova?

Scal, I have always appreciated your insight but some humility would really make these situations better for you. You're never gracious in defeat and there is always some external factor that ruined you. You gotta grow up and own your recent excessive losses and forget about them subsequent

GL on the play, I had looked into their AVG against lefties and it is juicy, definitely can't argue on your poing about Fulmer either. Will this be your only play today?

I believe they also void total's due to the 9 innings not being played in full, pinnacle runs that way.

Reds tagged Walker in their last outing where Castillo looked really good. Definitely worth waiting to see what the starting lineups will be before making a play I think. Reds tend to hit the ball well in day games this year too, which is probably worthy of some consideration. Leaning towards the Reds at this stage myself, not really the nicest card today
