Not sure about your reasoning. Sounds a little square to me. Especially in Unions case I could easily see a draw. Mentally they wont be at 100% after the last minute loss in Hamburg. I see a really close low scoring affair. 1-1 or 1-0 either way. |

Good to see you. I agree with all you said, Kaiser. I saw Bremen live when they played in Freiburg. And it was terrible how uncreative they were against a well organized , defensive team. Fortunately, Bmg is so offensive minded at home that Bremen could sit back and wait for counter attacks. Anyway, I thought Bmg was a little unlucky not to score more goals in the last few games. They deserved it. Glad I posted a winner. Today I like Leipzig and Hoffenheim. Have a good weekend, everyone! |

Although I haven't posted for a long time, I'm still silently following this football forum. Hope you're all fine.
Don't like playing Totals but I'm really confident with this one. I think it will be a rather open match. Don't let their recent scoring slumps misguide you. Good luck, guys

Freiburg Double Chance (+200) - 1 Unit
Freiburg to score (-160) - 2 Units There are many reasons for the public to bet heavily on Dortmund this weekend - and that's just what the public will do. Freiburg has had a really rough start so far - they got eliminated in the Europa League against Domzale, they are 15th in the Bundesliga with one point out of two matches. They will have to replace two of their key pieces in the defense - Höfler (suspension) and Kempf (injury). Their striker Petersen is also questionable for Saturday. Historically, Freiburg looked really bad against Dortmund the last few seasons. They lost the last 12 matches against Dortmund, with 5-38 total goals. Talking about Dortmund, they won their first two matches, are first in the league, are yet two receive a goal. And Dortmund ML is at -220 in Freiburg. I'm sure Dortmund will be part of every parlay played in Germany and Europe. After the national team break, I'm almost sure Dortmund will need some time to find themselves again. They still have some new players to integrate, also they have 2-3 starters that return from longer injuries. In my opinion, they are far away from the team they were under Tuchel and I expect it to show in the next couple of weeks. And they have a big game against Tottenham on deck, four days later. I would be surprised if they get a convincing victory, on the contrary. Even a Freiburg win is possible. Frankfurt Double Chance (+100) - 2 Units Frankfurt Team Over 1 Goal (+110) - 2 Units Frankfurt's team has the same qualities that their coach Nico Kovac has - he was never the best player strong but he is strong willed, aggressive and has a very high football IQ. And that's just how he designed his team, with the same kind of players and mentality. Kevin Prince Boateng as their latest upgrade is one example. They were quite unlucky the first two games, at least three points should be in their bag. Kovac said it himself so they are far away from being in panic mode. They will do what they always do - defend well and discplined and look for chances on the counter. Gladbach at home looks like the perfect victim for it since they love to attack and play an entertaining, open football in front of their home crowd. Frankfurt has had quite some success in Gladbach in the last years - they won the semi final of the German cup last year after penalties. I predict a close game with the cleverer team to take home at least a point. Good luck, guys

You needed Portugal to win the first half of OT (which they did) and after second half of OT you needed a Draw (which didnt happen). Mexiko had to equalize in second half of OT and game go to penalties. Thats why you lost. It were the odds? Must have been at least +800 or something.

So answer for your question: People desperately need it as an offer to come together and organize themselves. Capitalism/Politics only needs it for selling a product. So they try, and succesfully do so, to eliminate this social dimension of sports.

The big problem is that sports become more and more a product of the privileged. Just take a look at English or German football, ticket prices are going through the roof, you need pay TV if you want to follow your team, salaries increase, players cost unbelievable amounts of money - and the ordinary people havent gotten a raise in 20 years. Football doesnt create identification anymore, people are alienated from their clubs and the only people who can afford ticket prices are privileged people or tourists. Sports become more and more a product for privileged people, just like arts. I once read that only 8% of Germans regularly visit the public financed cultural offers. 52% never do. Sports moves in the same direction. Its heart breaking. There was a time when it created identification for people, identification that might even led to political activity... Of course, its the least thing a political system wants and so it tries to destroy possibilities for people to get together and create identification. In many ways, sports is a very good indicator for the condition our society is in.

Neither team will rest players. They will play with the best available team. Bayern will miss Neuer, Alaba is questionable but probably good to go. For Dortmund, Sahin, Schürrle and Bartra are out. Sokratis questionable.

The Super Cup isnt of any importance in Germany. And winning the league is Bayerns duty year after year. If they dont, its a desaster. So losing today would result in a mediocre season at best. The fact that they are far away from their attractiveness under Guardiola underlines it.
Anyway, im quite sure they will win the cup so they will definitely call it a good first season under Ancelotti. And it would bei justified. But thats all at stake tonight. Same to you, Franz!

Season deciding match for both teams, a loss in this cup semi final would result in a really mediocre season for both teams. So everything is at stake and both teams will play the best available team. After the CL defeats (Bayern vs Real, Dortmund vs Monaco) and all the happenings surrounding the matches, its probably Bayern having the bigger pressure whereas Dortmund still seems under shock and not at 100% of their mental condition. Bayern had two great games against Real, despite being eliminated. I think that overall the luck factor was definitely not on their side. Still, they gave a great fight in the second leg, awesome mentality, awesome defending. Almost the perfect game. I think it has brought the team together and they will reward themselves with a win tonight. They are the superior team, play at home and they have the mental edge in this match up. Some people might think the attack on the Dortmund team brought them together and after two weeks all that has a positive effect on the pitch. I highly doubt it. Bayern will go through - comfortable 3-0. Bayern-1 @1.75 - 6 Units

If I had to bet today, I would go with Dortmund-1 and Under 3,5. I think both teams will be careful knowing how deadly both offenses are and especially how vulnerable both defenses are, too. That means a slow start, probably 0-0 or 1-0 at the half. At the end, I think Dortmund has the better quality, together with home field advantage, I expect either a 2-0 or a 2-1.
I see a lot of Monaco+Over love... cant imagine a shootound in the first leg of quarter final. Its defense first. And Monaco is slightly overrated whereas Dortmund might be a little underrated after their look ahead spot @Munich. But they will show up here and get a result. Good luck guys. Enjoy the games!

Season: 13-20
+/-: -11 Units Bielefeld DnB @1.65 - 9 Units Big/max play for me here, posting it now because I expect the line to get worse until kick off tomorrow. Here are a couple of reasons to support the pick: - the importance of this match for Bielefeld Bielefeld can simply not afford a home loss here, even a draw wouldn't be satisfying in their situation. They will be ready for this game whereas Munich has a history of joking whenever they get too comfortable (13th, 5 points ahead of Bielefeld) - Bielefeld's strength at home Bielefeld is 3-3-3 at home, not really that convincing. Still, it's where they get their points if you look at their away record (0-2-7). - Bielefeld's additions during winter break Yabo is a great addition who showed his quality in the second Bundesliga already. He's a young and experienced guy and as a central midfielder, box to box kind of player he seems to be what Bielefeld was missing. He's definitely an upgrade and so is Brandy, another experienced 2nd league player. Both transfers make a lot of sense and it should make Bielefeld a better team. - Bielefeld's recent form Yes, they lost the first match after the winter break in Karlsruhe 2-3. Still, I think Bielefeld has shown improvement and over all a decent game that they unfortunally lost. Earlier they had two decent results in friendlies against Legia Warszaw (2-1 win) and Osnabrück (2-0). - 1860 is a mess Earlier today it was reported that Aigner, Munich's captain, left the team. He said that the direction of the team has changed significantly since summer which is obviously a statement against their new coach Pereira who they signed in winter. This story is just one example, there are many others and it all points to: 1860 Munich is a mess. I just can't see them being as focused and fired up as Bielefeld will definitely be. Bielfeld will be a unit Friday night, I'm not sure whether this can be said about Munich, too. Obviously I like the ML, -1 handicap as well. But I will play it safe because I think there's almost no way Bielefeld will lose this match. Good luck guys

Player probs are like playing lottery. Too many things can change the outcome, e.g. injuries, foul problems. I mean basically its like your trusting a player to hit more than he usually does (since the lines reflect their average PPG and are a little adjusted because people are in love with overs of any kind). Yeah, you might every now and then find something interesting (a player going against his former team like Ibaka this season @OKC) but its basically lottery or even worse. Especially if you do player prob parlays - a recipe to lose money. Just my two cents

It's amazing that people would rather kill the best guy instead of following his lead. If it just happened in a stupid sports betting forum, I wouldn't even care that much. The problem is that this behaviour is how our society works. What a ruined, hypocritical world this has become. A lot of respect to you, Scal. You have been one of 2-3 guys (if not the only one) that really taught me a lot about how sports betting works. Thanks for the money you made me and a way bigger thanks for the expertise you shared the last few years. That's priceless. Keep up the great work

What do you want? Another ROCK BOTTOM SURPRISE pick. One more time!Another ROCK BOTTOM SURPRISE pick!

All Im wondering with my inexistent knowledge of this sport: How in the world do we get Rousey at almost -130? Shes the American, she has the world wide name recognition, she has the storyline on her back, she is definitely the fighter the public will bet on heavily. And the line moves closer and closer to even money. I think all this should be more alarming for RR backers.
