I don’t know much about bball, but I really like UVA (-3) over Louisville. Am I missing something? Is this a trap? Smells like one... |

It seems to me no line is a steal. The handicappers are more often than not very accurate. If anything, it smells like a trap to give more than 3 to the Saints.
In addition, the home/road splits for the Saints are horrendous. I am not sure the OP is taking that into consideration. Also, I watched a bunch of Saints limp off the field against Carolina. Sure would like to know just how banged up those players are? Does anyone have insight on the Saints injuries? If so, can you share?

I with the OP on this one - Baltimore is the better team and healthier - I'd play the hunch that Baltimore plays hard to send Steve Smith out a winner... |

I like Flacco (and i can't stand the Ravens) more than Dak this week no question

Sounds to me like you are trying hard to convince yourself? Cleveland is awful but +10 is a lot of points to lay for a very average Buffalo team. Plus, weather will limit the passing game which should slow the game down considerably. I see the Bills winning this one but by less than 10. As bad as RG3 is I also can't see passing up a 10 point spot when the other QB is Tyrod Taylor.

I am in a survivor and still have Detroit alive (just have to win outright). However, six of seventy still alive and right now 3 on Lions and 2 on Falcons...
I still have Detroit alive but something is scaring me about this game. I do have Minnesota and I really like them against a very depleted Jaguars team. Am I thinking too hard? Just need an outright win. Anyone out there that would take Minny instead of Detroit? Thanks

I am also alive in a survivor. I have Denver left as well as the Saints, Seattle, Green Bay, Oakland,etc...
I really liked Denver this week and was about to lock it in then I read Siemien is out. Now I have changed it to Green Bay... hope it doesn't bite me in the arse. As for your options I really like New Orleans. Detroit is playing good football but not so much so on the road. Saints should win the game that will be decided in the 4th quarter.

I am actually looking for opinions here as I do not have strong opinions on this game as of yet. I am more of a fantasy football guy (not Daily sites) and a Steelers fan so I am hoping Denver and Carolina experts will chime in:
Denver Defense I would assume this will be the best defense Carolina has faced all year. Will Carolina be able to counter the strong Denver rushing attack with quick releases from Cam? I haven't seen many Carolina games - but what I have seen are a lot of downfield passing from Cam. I am just wondering if a short passing game is in their offense? Carolina Defense I have no doubt that Denver will try to establish Hillman/Anderson early and often with a mix to quick screen-like passes to DT and short crosses to Sanders. Will Owen Daniels or Vernon Davis factor at all or be forced to pass block? Peyton can't throw downfield. Peyton is capable of quick releases but is completely immobile. Carolina offensive line - can they matchup with Denver front? I know Oher was cut because he stunk in Baltimore. Anyone? Denver offensive line - how do they stack up against Caolina front? The latest total I have seen is 44 and my first instinct is the over because despite the good defenses I think one or two defensive scores is quite possible. Thoughts? I also like Carolina -4 but anything more I start to question. Please your feedback is appreciated.

Holding call, botched FG, Taunting penalty and Crabtree pushing off on a prayer of a pass... that is absolutely brutal

As a Steelers fan, I would like to see Buffalo pull it off but they are really banged up - I think the Jets win by 10 but I just can't root for them so i am passing... good luck though buddy, I will be pulling for you...

It's funny how people always post on here "rigged" or "vegas does it again" and I am wondering if these same people have that same opinion when they are on the winning side? I highly doubt it. I had TCU tonight and I feel very lucky - if Adams doesn't get knocked out Oregon would have continued the dominance.

bol sir Dalton wasn't the only problem, just a part of it. I am glad I wasn't on the team that simply does not gameplan with success in the playoffs. I rode the Luck Train. Won with Detroit, Won with Baltimore and lost with Zona. I am on the Patriots (-7), Packers (-6.5), Carolina (+10.5) and Denver (-7). Nevertheless, Good Luck Train, I always check out your posts.

27-13 Seattle. Seattle will remind everyone that Carolina entered the playoffs with a losing record. Newton throws 2 picks, Jonathan Stewart comes back to earth, Sherman shuts down Benjamin, Wilson runs for 70 with a TD run, Lynch adds two more TD's, and Tolbert continues to get fatter...

I don't think Green nor Gresham would have saved this team. They had Hill, one of the Top 3 backs in the 2nd half of the season, on the field for like 21 snaps. A couple injuries is no excuse for stupidity.

I can get +3.5 +4 RRavens with decent juice right now As a Steeler fan I hear you on the line not moving despite Bell being out. Thing is, the Ravens are awful against the pass and very good against the run. If they can get decent pass protection from the fill in RB's, Ben should still pick them apart. It's a tough call, but I see the Steelers winning a close one. That said, I'd take 3.5 with the Ravens.
