your right, but lakers may have been the worst b2b team last year especialyl if the second night was on the road. i am purely speculating here, and only going by what i recall as i watched just about every laker game live. They were terrible on the road. Now granted this year we got dwight and nash, but this new offensive system just looks horrible. nash looked completely lost without the ball, and more then half the time he was off the ball. So far kobe looks to be benefiting the most of it, he was super efficient yesterday and barely had any isos by his standard and when he did, he wasnt double teamed.

I expect a similar showing. portland at the rose garden is a solid team...they will be keen to start of strong against the lakers.

and i have zero respect and faith in coach browns ability.

went 1-2 on opening day, a last second 3 pointer by pau gasol left me stranded on a double +8mavs/under play.

Portland SU 2u - My fave play of the day. I am a laker person, but after watching yesterdays display, i feel like this team will take like 50 games to gell. Steve nash looks lost out their, the defense is shocking, ron ron still looks unmotivated, and the bench is still bad, and im beting on the road it wont be better. I expect portland in their opener to really stick it to the lakers, and lakers were terrible in b2b situations last year. Not much changes i feel. take the points, or the win outright.

Toronto SU 2u - I think the raptors at home are going to be tough to beat this year. no granger, opening night at home, i like the raptors to get it done.

Denver SU 1u - no bynum, no iggy, no louie williams, no elton brand. this is not the same team as last year. Those are some big losses. All across the board the matchups i feel favor denver, and the coach is better too.

detroit -3.5 1u - I am more fading houston then i am playing detroit. I think houston will take time with their pieces to gell, harden, lin, osik are fresh faces, this team is not in playoff contention, it is a lottery team. And im betting detroit improves on their record from last year. the pistons front court should be to much for the rockets, monroe/maxiel/prince v osik/patterson/parsons. chemistry will be an issue, especially opening on the road for the rockets.

suns -3.5 1u - The suns are healthy, and at home for the opener and will want revenge for their preseason loss and to open their season with a strong show at home. The warriors are listed as healthy, but how many minutes will bogut actually play? same goes for curry. i like the suns hardworking front court of gortat, scola and beasely may not be hard working but he can play. I dont have much faith in the warriors on the road so until proven otherwise i take the home team.

chicago/kings OVER - in recent years this total has gone way over. 189.5 for any game featuring the kings shouldnt be a problem. I expect bulls to win, but there will be points put up. 

clippers - 3.5 - Clippers at home with all starters playing should be enough to cover memphis a team they have confidence against.

BOL to all.

i LOVE the toronto play. they are solid at home, and for the opener i feel like they will get it done against a team without granger. already jumped on this and laid 2 units on it SU.
