You might say I missed on the Hornets game big-time. I overrated this team- other then Paul they just don't have much. Without him I believe they would be one of the worst 4 teams in the league. They need more scorers in a big way.
Tuesday- San Antonio -5- 5 units- The Spurs are probably going to lose the series but it wouldn't surprise me in they win this one by 15+ tonight. I expect to see Dallas just going through the motions when they are down big in the 3rd quarter.

Lost with the Hornets blowing the cover as they fell asleep the last two minutes and won with the Bulls in one hell of a playoff game.
Record is now 8-6 but down 3 units. Tonight I have:
New Orleans -2 (bought hook)- 4 units- I see this series possibly going the distance. While the Hornets do not impress me too much like they did last year, I still love Chris Paul's game and his effect on the team. I see him coming up big again tonight. Where is Chandler and Peja???? Are they even going to show up in this entire series? I do not think West has as poor a game as he had Saturday. Also, other than the first four and last 4 minutes of the game, the Nuggets didn't really act like they cared about winning Saturday. This thing goes back to Denver 2-2.
GL guys.

Nice win with Cleveland. Detroit just sucks this year. Record is 7-5 and down 1 unit in the playoffs.
Nawlins going today.
Tomorrow: Chicago -2(bought hook)- 3 units- Call me crazy. I see the Bulls evening up the series in Game 4. I still think they may win this series (believe it or not).
Adding 2 units on Chicago +400 for the series to back up that point. Boston could do no wrong the other night. Their lack of frontcourt depth and Rondo's questionable health still make me see some value in this series price. GL guys.

Well, shit. Missed on the Bulls game bigtime. Pierce finally wakes up and Rose and Gordon cannot score if they are in the gym by themselves.
Record for playoffs is now 6-5 and I am down 4 units. That's life I guess.
Tonight I have Cleveland -4(bought hook)- 3 units- laid this down yesterday as I thought the line might go up some. I am a Pistons fan and there is just NOTHING in this team right now that suggests that they can even win 1 game in the series. Do they really care??? As a Detroit fan that question has been going through my mind all week and bothers me to no end. Oh yeah, the Cavs don't look like they will dink around either. They are on a mission.
Tomorrow: Nawlins -4(bought hook)- 5 units- The Nuggets are playing out of their minds right now but that will change when they hit the road. Desperation time for the Hornets here at home and I think CP3 has one of those games that reminds everyone who is the best player in this series.
NFL Draft and Playoffs tomorrow!!! Enjoy the weekend guys.

Bator- I think you are overthinking this whole thing in a BIG way. Let me ask you this: Why would the Bulls let up now and feel like they are the favorite??? They are still playing the defending champs- they still thought they should have won Game 2, they still had Garnett spewing punk-talk to them as they walked off the court, and they still ARE HEADING BACK HOME tonight to play in front of a huge crowd that believes in their young team. Confidence breeds good performance, and the young Bulls are swimming in it right now. The Celtics, on the other hand, are the ones that have to be thinking "This just ain't our year" with all the injuries, the loss of their best player, and the way the Bulls have stood toe-to-toe with them in the series. Deep down, they know they can't compete with the Cavs right now (and don't tell me that isn't in their heads also).
It all boils down to this: Would you rather be the young overconfident team that smells blood right now or the older injured team that has won recently but is having doubts about this season?
I know where my will be.

Wow- don't agree with the post about Bulls bettors being sucked in AT ALL. The Celts gave everything they had in Game 2 after losing the first one at home and needed a Ray Allen 3 to win it. No Powe+2 foul-proned bigs in Davis and Perkins+Mikki Moore only reserve big left= LOTS of trouble. Pierce doesn't seem to have it. Allen won't shoot like he did in Game 2 probably the rest of the series. The ONLY one that is going to give the Bulls trouble is Rondo, and Rose basically negates him.
Chicago TOO athletic, TOO deep right now with Hinrich and Miller playing well off the bench, and TOO hungry for the Celts (someone wake Paul Pierce up and tell him they are fighting for their lives here). They are hot and the Celts are deflated right now from the injuries. Chicago wins this series (probably in 6).

SUCH HORSESHIT on the Portland game. That one was tough to swallow as the toothy Aaron Brooks jacks up successive meaningless prayer 3s for a Rocket cover. Thought we really had that one. Lost 4 units, dropping record to 5-3 and +4 units in the playoffs. That pissed me off.
Gonna drop 2 units on the Hawks -5 tonight. I think Wade has a better game tonight....but does it really matter. Joe Johnson can defend him probably better than anyone else I have seen. The critical thing about this series is that Atlanta has probably 5 out of the best 6 players out on the court! They have too much firepower for this Miami team. Chalmers, Beasley are too young and O'Neal Haslem too old and unproductive. This should be a closer game but the Hawks simply look like the superior team here.
Gonna go easy on it because am looking for a HUGE night tomorrow night with the Bulls.

Book just offered Thursday's lines. I am just loving the Bulls line. They are the better team right now. Also like Dallas to win at home.
Chicago -1.5- 8 units- Real big bet for me ($400). Bulls are simply younger, more athletic, and hungrier than the Celts right now. Boston is feeling bad for themselves about the whole KG being out drama. No Powe means plenty of Mikki Moore. That could get ugly.
Also taking Dallas-4 - 2 units- The Mavs should take this one in front of their fans. I look for a big bounceback game from Howard (who should have a huge series) and Dirk, who has been very quiet so far.
Pending tonight is Portland -5- 4 units- let's get this fellas.

With all the sneers, cheap shots, and "MFers" directed towards the opposing team in the last few years..........
Any non-Celtics fan that doesn't think Garnett is a PUNK either doesn't watch the NBA too much or is in denial.

It's not possible for the Rockets to play the Lakers in the Western Finals. They would matchup in the semis.

I couldn't agree more. In fact, I had a similar writeup just a bit ago. Portland rolls tonight.

Bulls BIGGGG- Mikki Moore is now the 3rd big man for the Celts to back up a foul proned Perkins and Big Baby.
LMAO at Garnett with the exaggerated sneers in the 4th quarter on the bench. They make him look so professional.

I think the Bulls will be 1 or 2 pt. favs, which will be enough to prompt some backers to gobble up Boston as "dogs."
Regardless of the line there will be to be made on Chicago as they no doubt look like the superior team after two games.
With Powe probably out, you can expect to see a ton of Mikki Moore the rest of the way.

Tuesday: Portland -5 (bought hook)- 4 units- Hmmm.....where do I start on why I love this line? Well, for starters the Blazers get hammered by 27 the other night and Vegas sets the line a point higher than the first game???? I can see the hordes of Houston backers with their hands on their wallets already. Two things stick out to me after Game 1: The Rockets shooting was UNREAL. Let's take a look at their 4 main scorers: Ming, Brooks, Scola and Artest. They all shot well over 50% of the field (Hell Ming and Scola shot 16 for 18). Even "Tru Warrior" shot 7-12, and Ron-Ron never met a bad shot he didn't like to take. Combined these 4 players shoot over 70 percent from the field!!! Not going to happen again...in fact, they will be lucky tonight to combine over 45%. Second, Aldridge will not play as poorly as he did in game 1. Shit, the man had 7 pts and 3 boards. I mean, Those are Theo Ratliff type numbers. A look at the season series shows that LaMarcus has had some huge games against the Rockets, averaging over 23 and 8 against them. Look for more of the same tonight.
Also, does this line remind anyone of the San Antonio line from last night??? That prompted a lot of Dallas backers as this one will bring Houstonians in also. It sure looked to me like Dallas was content with a split about 6 minutes into it last night. Houston will be also. Portland comes out strong tonight and prevails 98-87.

I would never take the -200 price because the Rockets won the 1st game. IMO I would see if the Blazers can salvage the split at home (I think they can) and try to get a -150 or -140 price for the remainder of the series after Game 2 if you like the Rockets. There is no value in -200 right now. Trust me on this: The Blazers are not nearly as bad as they looked the other night. Playoff jitters plus unbelievable shooting by the Rockets just buried them early. I also don't think the Rockets are as good as they looked. That being said I expect a 6 or 7 game series yet.

Ok- Starting to get on a roll here with 4 wins in a row. 5-2 record in the playoffs and a +8 units coming into the bank.
Spurs 1st half an easy winner last night. Parker came out aggressively just like I thought he would.
Be back later after looking at tonight's games.

I see it going over in the first half, but not by much AC. Pierce and Gordon aren't going to start so slowly this time. Allen....now he's a different story.

Monday Night:
Spurs -3- 1st half- 2 units- Do or die time for the Spurs. The light is dimming for this proud team. Look for a frantic effort from Parker and Duncan right out of the gate as they look to salvage a split at home. I think the Spurs will be leading by 6-10 pts. after the 1st half.
Lean to the Bulls/Celts 1st half over also, but will hold off for now.

4-2 thus far, +6 units.
