I was looking for a new book last night, and many people here mentioned Heritage. I currently use 5Dimes. They are ok, but I was looking for another book that has live betting on national tv games.
The guy at Heritage just told me they aren't accepting new accounts. What's up with that? Who kind of book doesn't want new customers? |

I like them, but the site needs an upgrade.

Hi Becky,
Can you please ask the line managers to try and post lines a little earlier during commercial breaks? I don't care about props. I'm talking about spread, total and ML. And by the way, sometimes, they don't post a line during a commercial. Nothing is more annoying than refreshing your screen 30 times during a commercial because you want to place a bet and no line is ever posted. Thanks. |

Guys, I thought live betting was huge. Are you all into it or not? 5dimes is ok for live, but I'm looking for a second option. BoDog is the best I can come up with now but many seem to despise them.
What are the best options for live betting? Don't care about props...just want spread, totals, and ml. Thanks! |

Yeah, as I mentioned originally, Bookmaker didn't even post lines during most commercial breaks last night. They said sometimes they will post a line and sometimes they won't. It's a "favor" by the manager if they feel like posting a line. I don't have time for that crap.

Yeah, I was keeping an eye on BoDog too because they seem to have a decent live betting setup.
I saw a spread line with no money line option a few times. That sucked. I also notice their lines are bad too. What about betting exchanges? Since BetFair and MatchBook hate America, is there another option available for us? |

After Matchbook went away, I signed up at 5Dimes. They are pretty good with live betting although their betting screen is weak, and they log you out every five minutes.
I opened an account with Bookmaker, but every time I look at their "NBA-Live Betting" link during the commercial breaks tonight, there are no lines. I am just interested in spread, totals, and money lines during the commercial breaks. I don't care about props. So, who are the best books out there for live betting? Thanks, Jeff |

NorthOf49,
I would like the info you speak of. I have a few ideas, but I don't know if they would work for sure. Please let me know. I tried to PM you, but we're not friends yet! ;-) Thanks, J |

While I was waiting for some feedback from you guys, I found this ESPN video report on "in running" wagering in Vegas.

Hi,
I had a few questions about betting during games in Vegas. I some articles about how this is getting pretty big in Vegas My questions are: 1) I am only interested in making regular bets during games: spread, total, money line. Is this pretty much standard in addition to all the less normal bets you can make during the game? 2) For the online books, they usually only have "in running" betting for the big national tv games? Is Vegas the same way, or do they offer wagering during all televised games? 3) Do you make these bets with a hand held device? Do they differ for each casino, or are they pretty using all the same technology? Thanks, JB |
