I have to reluctantly agree with PR9. When a line looks too good to be true, it's not often because the oddsmaker has goofed. Those guys are good.
I'm off that play. Look at Minnesota for a chance to bet against the public. |

Minnesota is a scary bet. Funny how often scary bets cash.

"second quarter" should read "second half." My bad.

I wanted to get on Denver last night, but my book would not let me. Fine, I'll take Denver -3 for the first half tonight. I really like Denver to get revenge in this back-to-back, playing at home, where their depth will help them (in thin air) over the Lakers.
The Lakers tend to get off to a slow start and try to win in the second quarter anyway, and I think you will see that tonight, as they will be playing tired. They are not a very deep team IMO. You know, the oddsmakers have a rule of thumb that the halftime line should be half the game line That is often not true, and I think it creates a great halftime betting opportunity... for some teams in particular. Good luck, whatever you do.

Am taking Denver - 3 first half and the T-Wolves for the game. I think the oddsmaker hung a suspicious line on that Dallas - Minny game, expecting to take a lot of action on Dallas.
Good luck! |

Good call on the Suns yesterday. Surprised me!
Like Denver a LOT tomorrow (Sunday) at home. Denver has depth, and Lakers have not played well in Denver. Thin team, thin air... And I still think the Suns are a fade. Great start Goodone! |

Great record, dude. Though I hate to see you on Phoenix tonight.

Hmmm, scary. Gonna just watch.
Probably bet NO, and look for a halftime play on the Clippers.... or Bulls. |

But the Suns still don't play defense. Looking at the difference in points allowed keeps me off Phoenix. In fact, I like New Orleans.
Good luck, whatever you do.

Yep, that one jumped out at me. I took the Spurs against the Grizz on Monday, but that reflects my low opinion of the Grizz and the fact that it was a big revenge game for SA.
I think the Clippers, Portland and OKC will be teams to beat in the West. Glad to take the Clips getting points. GL |

Good to see you here again Goodone. I like Sacto at least in part because of the fishy line the books hung on that game. It's begging people to take the Lakers.
Think if I bet it, I'll split my bet between the first half (Sacto) and the game (Sacto again), as I think there will be a motivational mismatch favoring Sacramento. Lakers have a history of pacing opponents and trying to win the 4th quarter (although that didn't work out last night). Good luck. |

NJsupreme and In-Play-Runs are on the right track. There are a lot of idiots (inexperienced and emotionally volatile) bettors on the Forum, and it's annoying when they post "New England Pound Bet" with no explanation.
Some of the best plays I have made come from "homer" bettors who have a particular insight into how their home team will play that day... 'cause they watch them all season long. Yes, it's a forum, but the purpose of a forum is to exchange meaningful information and/or personal insights that can help others make money. It's not a brick wall in the alley where you spray paint whatever you want just to "get up." Do some homework! |

Good call on the Rangers game. I missed it!
Got down on the UNDER in the Philly/AZ game. Can't bet on A J Burnett. The guy is just too erratic. He could have a great game, or he could give up a bunch of runs and leave early. |

Oh yeah, that worked out well yesterday, didn't it?
Cost me a bet because Bodio and some other posters were all about the over. No one handicaps totals well. Frankly, I don't even like the pitching matchup. Try Detroit instead, Just trying to help, |
