replied to If a 16 seed was to beat a 1 seed... in College Basketball agree that it's unlikely. but i've had this exact discussion with people. Long Island can score in bunches, but cannot defend. Duke in a game that they dominated except for the last two minutes (which they more than made up for the 2nd time around) UNLV in Vegas. And the 2 florida state games. So they have 1 bad loss and that is the blowout game to florida state. you said yourself that emphasis shouldn't be placed on the conference tournament... especially when they held out arguably their 2nd best player due to a tweaked wrist. UNC this year has beaten a fellow number 1 seed (by double digits) A 2 seed (by 20 points?) A 4 seed that record holds up just fine on a number 1 line.
