Big coaching mistake on Dabo there. He new he was going to punt when he tried to get them to jump at the end of the 1st Qtr. The wind was at Clemson’s back in the 1st qtr, but it’s in their face in the 2nd Qtr. That was the difference and what caused that short punt. Dabo should have either tried to get them to jump and then called a TO once he seen it wasn’t going to work or just punted knowing he was not going for it anyways. Just a coaching mistake.

Texas hasn’t done anything special on offense yet and moving the ball at ease with dink and dunk, and getting the edge. As a Clemson, if the Clemson offense doesn’t stay hot and insulate the defensive issues, this will be a blowwwwwout.

Defensively Clemson is without their starting S Zanders, starting stud DT Davis, and starting stud DT Bresee. Team leader LB Skalski is dealing with a bad shoulder and hasnt finished all the games. 
Offensively 9 new players either starting or in new positions. Clemson could not run the ball last year at all, that aint getting better with less experience.

Now Hunter Rayburn is out at Center.  They have nearly zero experience here and no depth. OL cant catch a break. This team is greatly banged up. Both interior DL stud guys are out, Davis for a few more weeks and Bresee OFY.

How is Lane Kiffin’s absence a non factor? He is their play caller, not OC Jeff Lebby. This isn’t a situation where the HC is just the CEO, he is 110% in the offense. And I understand Lebby has experience calling plays and very good at it. 

Also another note concerning the total in this game. Look at the transfer portal, Mississippi treated it like a kid at Christmas, and brought in a lot of defensive help. 

Both HC’s here are the teams offensive play callers. UL HC Satterfield loves to run the ball and I would guess that him looking across the field and seeing who the Rebels have at QB may convince him to shorten the game as much as possible. Matt Corral is special, IMO possibly top 5 QB in CFB. Curious to see how Kiffin not being there hurts chemistry in key situations. Scott Satterfield may be a piece of shit for trying to bail on UL for the South Carolina job last year, but he’s been a successful HC. 

I like the under in the game and I like UL to cover.
