Sure they are going to need to protect Luck and hope he doesn't get injured (again) because if he does, then they "might" be in a bit of trouble, but you could have said that about 9 of the past 10 super bowl winners ... In saying that, I will go as far as to say that even if Luck does go down for the season, the Colts will be fine, with potentially, one of the best back up quarterbacks in the league, if not "the best" Mr Jacoby Brissett ... I wouldn't be surprised if they are already "protecting"" luck by not playing him in the pre season ... Why f#ck around with your "top gun" in meaningless pre season games ... Time will tell ...
This ^^^ However, I'd even venture to say the defense has the potential to be top 5 this season with all they've added in the last couple years and how they've focused on building entire units. Their offense looks to easily be a top 5 performer this season as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Colts average 30+ ppg on the offensive side, and with their defense (again, will probably excel above Jacksonville), I'm going as far to say that not only are the Colts not overhyped, they're still probably being discounted and overlooked to a degree considering the emergence of Mahomes and the KC offense, plus the always-in-contention Patriots. I prefer to read between the lines when it comes to season win projections, Super Bowl odds, etc. - so in the case of Indy, being as relatively small market at they are, the fact that their odds to win the AFC and Super Bowl are so low tells me that oddsmakers have very good reason to place them there, because they sure as hell aren't going to garner a huge line at the clerk's desk to place futures on them. AFC's best are without a doubt, in my eyes, New England, KC, and Indy. The NFC championship still looks to be going through either LA, New Orleans, or Philly. The Bears will undoubtedly face serious regression on the defensive side of the ball, and I don't see their offense ever being good enough to compliment the D when they'll need to step up.
Good luck to you this season, DUP. |

Tuesday 3/18 NIT: West Virginia +4 Belmont +7 ________________________________________ Both teams above are playing inferior squads....although they are playing true road games in the NIT 1st round, I like the way both teams match up against the other. Should be a couple covers, if not outright wins. |

Iowa has been on a tough slide....these two teams, as of recently have been heading in opposite directions.
However, Iowa is still the "deepest team in the nation" as far as bench productivity (offensive efficiency of bench players and most minutes played outside of the 5 starters.) This could have a factor on a neutral court in a high-stakes game. Might be worth looking into. Iowa really does use the bench, and they have reserves that contribute. |

Oddsmaking is a business, and accuracy is important. This is not uncommon during tourney time. Be patient....and most importantly, don't pounce on a line just because it becomes available and you feel like time is running out. Plenty of meat and potatoes on the board.
Good luck buddy. |

Blazay,
Not sure how much you get to watch St. Louis, but they're almost worth backing against anyone at this point. They're one of the few teams in the country (along with VCU, Duke, Virginia, Wichita State) that does not take a single possession off. They play hard every single play on offense and defense, and come to win every single game with focus. I'll give you your point though- 15 does seem like a lot in a game that is sure to be highly defensive. I wish you luck tonight. |
