I only know the circumstances of his fathers encounter as reported through this article and others Ive sought after. However having grown up in Houston I have never had a personal encounter with our police department, however I have seen several times where the police have abused their power, whether it be behind the wheel , or on foot. Additonally the allegations that have confronted HPD over the past 10 years speak for themselves. There has been a seven year federal investigation into the accuracy of the HPD crime lab. Over the past five years over 23 people have died while in custody of the Harris county jail. As a major metropolitan police department, HPD has been suffered heavily from a man-power shortage. As a result there has been federal investigations into overtime pay, as officers have earned over 130K in additional overtime compensation. I believe the lack of man-power in the department has created an a thick blue line that is protecting corrupt officers, reducing accountability as well as accuracy and is creating a cavileer atmosphere where officers are taking justice in to their own hands. I am abosolutely distraught over this latest headline. Donald Driver a native Houstonian like myself, grew up homeless, he lived out of a U-haul truck on the streets of Houston for much of his childhood. After his parents were incarserated for drug charges, he lived with his grandmother and graduated from Milby High School in Houston. After earning a scholarship from Alcorn State Univeristy, he was drafted in the seventh and final round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. His philantropic efforts in the city of Houston are outstanding and prevoked me to write this.... Dude- You are one stupid fuck.......Does Tawanna Braley ring a bell? Ok professor got any other irrelevant examples? Yea people make shit up...whats your point? Cause either you too lazy to read all of what I wrote or it just went way over your head.... My fucking point was that even though I wasn't there to see the incident first hand, I have seen first hand that this department is hiring, promoting and protecting rouge officers due to a lack of man-power, oversight and administrative authority. The Chief and Union are guilty of creating and promoting an atmosphere lacks accountability and is a breeding ground corruption. Go type "HPD" in the keyword box at the Houston Chronicle's website and enlighten your self. By the way I'm working on my Ph.D in Architecture, what year did you graduate from the academy? |

Yes... he will be in class by himself if he wins tonight.
However who knows about the rest of the season, he could get knocked out again like against Kstate last year. His remaining games are Baylor then a Heisman helping KU beatdown in Lawerence followed by the pathetic aggies and finally the Big 12 Title Game. I believe he already had no doubt earned it. Can anybody remember the last time a team had to play 4 top 10 teams in one season, not to mention back to back to back to back. Its not even close and the best part is, he and 3/4's of this team will be back next year. |

parlayed the three and backed it with the over in the UT game.
Strongly considering ATM +26 for the hell of it. Im seriously this is OSU not OU. |

I like all three of these bets......might even parlay them.
Texas has played some joke teams so far.....and I really think the Horns are going use this game as a tune-up for the showdown next weekend. Colt McCoy is lighting it up and with the help of his stud WR's like Shipley and McGee, Texas can and should put up the points to cover this number. Considering the vaunted Blackshirts gave up almost 400 to VaTech last week....throw in the bulletin board stuff thats been said this week.....Chase Daniel is going to go off. I have tried hard to investigate this Ball St game, and well my conclusions are that 5-0 B St is the class of the MAC and has dominated their opponent and Toledo has a 1-3 record with a "nice" loss at Fresno. Anyways I think Ball St covers by quite a large margin since Toledo's D cant stop anything..this is my largest bet. |
