ARGENTINA V CANADA

Not much has changed odds wise from the opening game between these two teams. My strategy will mirror that as I think Canada can stand with Argentina at least for the first half. The new factor in this match will be the weather in New York. Its going to be hot and humid with cooling breaks which usually slows the game down and the number of goals trend under the total.

37. Canada 1st half +0.5 @ 1.96/-104 (1u) Pinnacle

Not a huge Soccer strategist but it would seem to me that the Canadians best chance would be to park the bus and try to send this to PKs.  They generate very little Offense, and IF Argentina gets up a goal, I think that's lights out for the Habs.  Under 2 is my play on this one.

 Canada & Jesse Marsh are not the park the bus style of team. They are fast and engaging, akin to Turkey at the Euros. The heat will play a big part in this game, so I expect a slow start. Argentina are the more skillful squad no doubt, but any team at any tournament in the semis deserves respect. I learned that lesson when I first started betting back in EURO 2004 against Greece and I was taken behind the woodshed

Penalty Kicks  -  If teams are tied at the end of regulation, and most cases extra time, the match will result in Penalty Kicks (in tournament style play).

That would be a major accomplishment for Canada to play 0-0 the first half with an Argentine side that has scored first half on the very best national sides...

Crepeau plays well in MLS, and comes up big for  LA and for Canada, allows them to take chances....I see nothing but a 2-0 victory, so I'm not playing anything. But 0-0 at the half seems reasonable, with at least 3 saves from Crepeau

The last 3 head to head games ended level 0-0 0-0 & 2-2. The Draw at only +170 and Under 2 has zero value. I would be shocked if either side dominates the other here. Going down to correct scores to dig up some value.

On a side note regards to hedging

It is always a personal choice in regards to your bankroll. If this happens to be "life changing" money then hedge. If not, don't bother as the cash out/hedge options are always going to be lower/cost you. I hedge out only 1% of my bets none of witch involve bankroll but circumstance like injuries/suspensions.

CANADA V URUGUAY

Its a third place game that typically trends to the over. The last 2 Copa Americas 3rd place games saw a 3-2 & 2-1 score line. Uruguay and Canada are not park the bus sides and will play a very open game.
