There is not too much to separate these sides when it comes to quality. Even the last 3 head to head results ended with each team winning one and one ending level. Both teams are chasing history England for their second ever win & France for a title defense both of which have not been done since the 60's. I'm expecting a nervy game but there is too much quality on each team not to see goals. I'm thinking final result 1-1 with the game going to extra time. This should be a great game for in play betting depending on the flow and circumstance.

Croatia have been a tough nut to crack as they say. Their game plan seems to be the same take the game to spot kicks where they have been unbelievably lucky not just in this world cup but in 2018. Argentina are rightfully the favourites but I'm not looking to back them at these prices. At the 2018 world cup Argentina was defeated by Croatia in the group stage 3-0 a match which also saw 7 yellow cards. The referee for this match is Daniele Orsato who issued 6 yellows in the opening game Qatar v Ecuador and 5 cards in the match between Argentina and Mexico. During qualification he averaged 4.78 cards per game. I'm expecting a very tight game with Argentina winning in extra time.

Morocco has done an amazing job for their nation and the program should be applauded. Croatia a much more superior side than Morocco and they went down to my original picks as winners Argentina and just like them the midnight clock will strike again and another Cinderella will go home. I will look for an in play wager for next goal France when France manage to score their first. It might take 5 minutes or 60 but as soon as Mbappe the next best player in the world puts one in, Morocco will have to open up and the second or third one will be inevitable. This one is simple as pie, take the better team.

Polish Ref Szymon Marciniak is the ref and he only issues 4.00 cards per game usually low.

However of all the refs he is the second most likely to call a PK.

Morocco will have all the motivation to get a 3rd place medal as a token from their historic run. Yes teams actually get medals where as 4th place gets nothing. One has to wonder if Croatia really care about this game, having finished second in the last world cup. The fan support will also be 90% in favour of Morocco.

Usually I'm always taking the auto over in 3rd place games, not here. First there will be duel between the two goal keepers for the Golden glove award given out to the best keeper at each world cup and IMO its between these two. Secon, both countries play defense first and played to a 0-0 result in their group stage game. Form wise only one game of the past 4 has gone over the total for both sides. Thinking a 1-1 or 0-0 result and just like echoes from 1986 where a 3rd place game went into extra time between Belgium and France. I would not be surprised this game doing the same.

 I'm waiting for some clarity regarding this "flu" on the French side. I'll be backing Argentina to win it all but If France are all good to go I can see this going into extra time
