Tonight's final card isn't finalized yet. None of the games start until 7pm ET, but we will have things posted by 6pm ET, including an On The Side play for The Belmont Stakes.
However, we are putting in a 2 game totals parley for the 4pm ET games, and wanted to get this posted.
ON THE SIDE
Parley LA ANGELS / SEATTLE OVER 8.5 TAMPA BAY / TEXAS OVER 9.5
We'll take a shot with this for a 1 Unit wager.

Haven't seen you post any totals this season I don't think. Any reason why, and why in a parlay?
Good question nole..
These are part of my Side Plays which I run all season. This is a Systems forum so I wasn't including them with my System picks.
Since I am going to be holding all my Side Plays accountable from now on, I decided to start posting them here, as well. I could start a thread over in the MLB forum, but I'd rather include them here, since they are based on Statistical & Situational Analysis, & Trends.
It's about staying ahead of the Market, before the public catches up..
You could play these as Singles, which I usually do, but I just really liked both of these today. Since things have been going so well, I decided to just go for maximum value here.
They won't always win, that's for sure.. but if we can win more than we lose, we'll be very happy. You have to believe in the Stats.
Best of Luck, nole, as always!
Cheers

Last night was tremendous, it went about as well as it could. The Top 7 Home Team is clear for the weekend so we get to really focus On The Side plays. We also love the Runline Blitz play tonight with Boston. Technically it's a Game 2, but it's really a Game 1 in our bankroll as we outsmarted the books yesterday and cashed with St. Louis instead. I'm heading out this evening for some entertainment, so good luck with whatever you decide to play here, if anything.

Kreatture just to be clear, what are the filters for the top 7 home team bets?
Also the top 7 teams can fluctuate nightly. If you bet on the 7th and they lose dropping to 8th, do you continue to chase and do you bet the new 7th ranked team?

We're extremely pissed off with how our night went.. We easily hit our Runline Blitz play with Boston, as Lester completely dominated the Baltimore lineup, as expected. We hit both of our top On The Side plays, as well, making us 3-0 the past 2 nights for our top plays.. But.. we are pissed we were suckered into betting Yuri Foreman over Miguel Cotto in the boxing event. It was a trap we saw, but we refused to heed the warning signs and went with the value play anyways. It was only a 1 Unit loss, but we're still extremely pissed with that result..
We're also ticked off with Colorado losing again tonight.. altho we will get over this by morning.. it sucked to lose this game tonight, but we have to look at this as a blessing in disguise. This makes Colorado a very attractive play Sunday with Jimenez on the mound looking to avoid the sweep against a much weaker team. St. Louis opened as an overwhelming favorite today, at a monster -245 this afternoon, while Colorado opened a measly -185. Public has moved both these lines in opposite directions.. so when you read this Sunday morning you will think Colorado is the top favorite, while actuality it is St. Louis.
We haven't even capped the Cardinals game yet, and frankly, we don't need too. The Colorado game is such a high percentage play we have to lock this is right away. We may even play this On The Side for additional Units.
We will update the On The Side plays tomorrow before lunch.. but right now, we have to lock in the Runline Blitz play before the line gets too high.
Cheers

We've been sorting out today's card and what was originally a list of 12 Leans has been drastically cut down. There's a lot of "ifs" today and well, I just don't like investing my money on "ifs". Kansas City was originally a Top Play, then it was removed from the card all together, then the last stat we saw of Bannister's Day/Night splits made us put it back on the card. Tampa Bay absolutely hates playing in Arlington, especially Matt Garza. We've not crazy over Rich Harden here, but Texas as a Home Dog here is good value.
We're also a little wary of this Colorado game now.. the Total is a whole run higher than what you would think with Ubaldo on the mound.. do the books know something we don't today?? Either way, it's still a better option than the St. Louis runline later tonight. And no.. if Colorado does not cover, we will not be playing the Cardinals in the nightcap.
Best of Luck Cheers

Vig,
The Filters for the Top 7 are listed on the spreadsheet, but I'll paste them here for you:
SPECIAL FILTERS WILL BE APPLIED AS FOLLOWS:
*** NO PLAY IF PLAYING A TOP 7 ROAD RECORD TEAM
*** NO PLAY IF PLAYING A DIVISION LEADER, UNLESS HOME TEAM IS ALSO A DIVISION LEADER, AND/OR HAS A BETTER RECORD
*** NO PLAY IF ONLY 2-GAME SERIES - UNLESS VS. A BOTTOM 7 ROAD TEAM
*** NO PLAY ON ALL INTERLEAGUE GAMES
*** ALL HOME TEAMS WITH ODDS OF -200 OR HIGHER ARE TO BE PLAYED ON THE -1.5 RUNLINE
*** ALL HOME DOGS ARE TO BE PLAYED ON THE +1.5 RUNLINE
*** ADDITIONAL FILTERS AND RULES WILL COME INTO PLAY AFTER THE ALL-STAR BREAK, WHICH WILL BE EXPLAINED THEN
There have been instances when a team begins a new series as a Top 7 Home Team, just to see it fall down to 8th or 9th after the 1st game if they lose. I have thought about how to proceed with this many times. The rule has been, all along, that you go by the current daily standings at the time a new series begins. So if a team starts a new series on Monday as the #7 Home Team, then loses Monday night and falls to #8, you keep playing that series. Anytime a new series begins for any team, they become a play if they are currently inside the Top 7 on that particular day.
Hope that answers things, but if not just keep asking questions. I get a lot of PM's so it takes me a little while to get back to folks, especially on the weekend.
My main priority is getting the plays posted in time for that days games, and I get to the other things when I am not so busy.
Cheers

Late post for tonight's action, but we were waiting most of the day for one of our Top Plays to go down a half run before locking it in. We really like tonight's card, but we'll see how it all plays out. Interleague play is coming up once again, so we'll try to get as many winners in by then as possible. Still on the fence for a couple of leans tonight, so not posting them. If we decide to lock anything else in, I'll post it right away.

The trend of Dice-K alternating good and bad starts due to arm fatigue isn't exactly working out.. thought he would be gone by the 5th and Boston's pen, who are short tonight without Papelbon, might get into some trouble. Also figured Boston's hot bats would put up enough runs to get this thing over the total, along with 6 or 7 from Cleveland.
Cole Hamels takes a no hitter into the 7th and the damn offense can't help him out, looks like they won't even win outright now..
And there were flags concerning Scott Feldman for Texas tonight, but his career numbers vs. Seattle and at home were hopefully going to override that.. and even tho Lee's numbers are completely horrid in Texas, he was capable of shutting a hot offense down.
Hopefully the Dodgers can help out later and avoid a complete mess to start the week..
Yuck!

The Texas series could get a little dicey, as King Felix goes tomorrow
Yeah.. "King" has been less than stellar this season, but this should hopefully keep the line low. It's a 4-game series tho, and I never worry about them.
Still tho, until it's cleared, I'm always a little "concerned"..
Good start for Dodgers.. can't believe it looks like an 0-5 start tho. Been a long time since had a nice like this.
I admit, I wasn't really on my game for the On The Side plays today.. definitely tried to force something with the small card. Fortunately, no one is tailing those plays anyway, so it's only me losing with them. I hate it when the System picks lose, cuz I know some people are playing them.
Hopefully Dodgers roll to clear there, and we'll regroup for tomorrow.
Cheers

Rough opening to the week, but at least the nightcap was never in doubt with the Dodgers. Dice-K really blew a fastball by us as we never expected a performance like that last night. Never got to see any of the Colorado game so not really sure what happened to Houston there.
Sometimes you never know what is going on with some players on the field, and what they have going on in their personal lives which might prevent them from being mentally focused and having a bad game on the field. Well, the same can be said with us handicappers.. sometimes there is just a lot of personal stuff going on which prevents us from being mentally focused on a particular day and we end up crashing and burning for a night or two.
Today, my favorite girl in the World is getting on a plane and leaving for back out West, and I'm not gonna like that. I'm going to try and squeeze in lunch before she leaves and, like last night, I doubt I will be in a focused frame of mind for On The Side plays tonight.
Please post questions in the thread here, or PM me like most of you have been doing.. DO NOT start a new thread asking me a question.. we all saw how that goes. I don't need any more bullshit like that..
Good Luck on whatever you play tonight.
