DG, you do great work. Just wanted to let you know that it's very much appreciated.
BTW, on a side note. If you were to chase these teams, for the entire series, the record would be 30-0. That's what I've been doing. At this point, I'm just nickel and diming it, playing to win just $20 with each series. There are more than enough plays to make some decent money. If i was going for bigger money, I'd probably stop the chase at the "B" game. I'm just trying to build my meager bankroll for the upcoming football season.
Speaking of football, are there any good systems out there for that?
Thanks Bruin - much appreciated.
As far as doing a 3-game chase - yeah I noticed that - but losing a C game would devastate a bankroll - it's really personal preference - but I prefer a 2 game chase - less stress, and as long as the wins far outweigh the losses - I will be a happy camper! Actually, I am actually playing some of the systems very conservatively - by going with a 2 game chase. In actuality, system #1 states - that we should bet the A game - and if we win - do a 2 game chase on the B and C game - that way we can get 2 wins versus 1 in a series. I didn't want to bet so aggressively until I know for sure that these systems are absolute winners though. Plus there are plenty of plays each series - so I don't mind betting conservatively.
As for football - yeah - I have a couple of systems - but not sure how good they are. I think they need some filters and additional data points. I plan on starting a thread on NFL - and try to automate something that will be profitable for all. Probably start it in the next few weeks so I can work on automating it for the start of the season. I already started researching some sites to pull the data I need.

DG, any plays tonight? Still can't update the data. It literally hangs and then Excel says (not responding). I saw numerous plays when I pressed the Update Schedule but not too sure which ones to play. I'll just wait for the post here. If you'll post or anyone.

PIT - is listed under system #1 and # 6 - they don't have the pitching edge but just slightly off - 45 vs 43 - this is an executive decision to play rather than lying off for game #1
TB & ARI - are listed under systems #1, #4 and #6

Ran version 7 twice and not coming up with Pit as a play. All others are there. I was playing them anyway because they are a play on another system I follow, just not sure why they're not coming up for me here.

That's weird Bruin - are you sure you didn't delete a formula in any of the cells? - it's weird how it displays - all the other plays but for some reason one does not show up - does PIT show up in any of the systems? it should show up under system #1 and system #6. It won't be highlighted though due to the pitching matchup

Whats the difference between the dark blue background and the plays without the background?
Are there so many plays that were not looking at #7 today?
The dark blue highlighting indicates it is a play - for systems #1 to #6. If it meets all of the criteria - but the pitching matchup is not in our favor - the play will show up but it won't be highlighted - like PIT today - but i made the executive decision to play PIT since the pitching matchup is off by only a few points.
As far as system #7 - it is a flat betting system that requires the team to be a DOG....which none of them are. It's on the original author of the PDF website as a system - but I have not been playing it. I added it to the spreadsheet to track the plays. So ignore system #7 until it proves to be a winner.

I can't chase COL - but if you guys want to - go ahead
I can't believe what I did yesterday. I'm disappointed. I noticed the 4 losses from last season came late in the season (August/September) and 3 of them from sub .500 teams. I promised myself yesterday to not chase with teams below the .500 mark, yet I go ahead and make an A game bet with COL. Wtf was I thinking lol

CG - maybe we should add that filter to system #4? Thoughts?
I was also thinking of adding stats from my streak finder spreadsheet to avoid teams on hot / cold streaks...
That would be an excellent idea. Let me know if you need any help putting it together. Of course I make it just in time for the first loss- typical timing on my part.

We are taking the game off for the Mets - due to the pitching matchup - hopefully the Mets will lose and and we can pick up the chase tomorrow.
Save your money. Anyone who would bet on the Mets, at this point, should have their head examined. Their season is crashing down like a ton of bricks. There is no colder team going right than the Mets. I went against the system on 2 plays, the Mets and the Rockies. So glad I did, two A game wins, instead of losses. I only have 2 games to worry about, tonight, instead of 4. While these systems have proven to be winners over time, sometimes common sense should prevail.

I agree with you bruin and the Mets seem to be my BR killer this year but then again, I may have to give them credit for almost a comeback last night and a while ago. I think that the Dodgers are just too much for them.
